Well here's something funny. There's a religion where they worship cows, so to kill one or eat one is sac-religious. I knew a guy once who said he could not eat pork(Maybe Muslim?), as it was dirty to their religion. But they'll eat beef, chicken, and fish. Then one of my good friends refuses to eat any type of seafood. She says they're scavengers, and need to be left alone. But she loves steak! MOOOOO!! Me, I eat just about any type of food, especially when I feel like my body craves it. Especially Sushi, yum yum!

Hey Kronicgirl, In actually reading a book right now for my anthropology class called "Cows, Pigs, Wars, an Witches". It deals with this worship of cows and pigs and the interesting thing is that really it has nothing to do with the love of these animals but instead this religious attitide towards them is key for the societys survival in many ways. Basicly keeping the animals alive helps the society/culture/religion in more ways than using them for food. The book goes into details of how this works. Too much to try to write here. But very interesting.
