When i first started studying esoteric i tryed to find my signs. I searched in many places and found of course my basic sign is Libra and my chinese sign is the ox. But i wanted to find my sun sign and as many other things as i could. The sun sign as i know it ( i could be wrong) is your second sign which i came up with many differant answers for. Libra,libra....Libra,leo,...i dont really know for sure. Do you need to have the exact moment you were born? Something else was my "house" which i believe i am of the 5th house but again im unsure do to differant answers. Any help and background or maybe history would great. I did learn that being from the 5th house would put me in line to be a good alchemist. Well i was already well into the study of that so it must be true. Oops sorry i just realized this may have been better off in the astrology area.

actually I have a website you can go to and put in all your info and make sure you have the time/place of birth in the calculations of the chart, however the accuracy of it may not be so good, Im not sure , but you could try it, I know there are many books out there to find out your signs, I think there are too many variables in astrology sometimes, however there is ways to pinpoint your exact charts, though I have not tried to get that close..but this chart is pretty good.. www.alabe.com/freechart/by the way its okay but Im gonna move your thread ifs thats alright with you:)

Osiris, yes you need your exact time/place of birth. You don't really "have" a house. Your chart is divided into 12 houses that represent areas of Life and you have to look up where your planets (your various energies) are to figure what acts where. The sun by itself gives little insight into your Life's road map.
What you should study to get most of your chart is the placements of your inner planets (House and sign) : Moon, Mars, Mercury, Venus, same for semi inner planets : Jupiter and Saturn, but their effect are more noticeable over the course of your life than on a daily basis. Then you have the outer planets : Neptune, Uranus, Pluto. They're called generational planets because they stay in a sign for several years. So their sign won't affect you much as an individual, but their house placement is very important.
In addition to that, check out at least Midheaven (career)'s sign placement and the North Node (Karma in this Life), Part of Fortune and Chiron (where we have to heal)'s house and sign.
