Yeah we do seem to bounce alot of infomation between us although I am not sure she is aware of how much she has taught me.. anyway how much should the sleep cycle be interupted by?

hmm that depends I would set it every 3 to hours or perhaps in the morning set it for real early like 5 or 6 and get up and do some dream work/obe work and than lay back down after an hour..see what happens..

wow very interesting and great experience blank ! seems like the more we know and communicate about that obe-theme the more we experience.
I hear you saying something like: I maybe shouldnt do this or that - I`ve wondered myself about the same, but finally I think we shouldnt worry about that as our subconscious or higher selve surely knows better what is "appropriate", at least I believe. lgn

Well, my main concern is that I dont know if I am in control if I dont remember the event myself, I guess it more the paranoia from when I used to get blindly drunk and do some stupid shit (dont ask I wont tell)
But in retrospect most of my obe or more near obes occur when I dream, it seems that for me to obe I need to develop my dream recall more then anything, after that I believe that it then comes down creating my intentions before I goto sleep. So as you can imagine I am keen to get started on the art of dreaming. Cheers for the input I wouldnt have rethought it..

So last night was rather interesting, I had a rather strange dream before the alarm went off. So I got outta bed went into the kitchen grabbed a couple of muffins sat down had a munch read some of the art of dreaming then got back in bed. I managed to do six exits from my body. but each time I left i'd just drift untill I hit the floor then I'd be back in body and have to exit again, it was soo much fun and now I can leave it's just a matter of taking control of myself once I'm out... this is gonna be so cool

Oh yes of course, for me too! Its the most important base to train to recall dreams, which after a while never fails if we just put a little effort into, like putting a pencil and paper beside the bed and dont jump out the bed immediately after awakening. I have more than one proof that OBEs are announced by dreams (esp. for beginners like me), not only obes can be announced by dreams but also dreams do consist of obe-parts within. All those obe-phenomenons like flying, crashing of air-planes or any psi-phenomenons I do refere to and call a kind of Dream-Obe-Mix, we had some theoretical work-out of DOMs here as well, maybe it would be interesting for you too. On top it (still) seems difficult for me to get lucid easily, I rather do have strong obe-sensations, be conscious that I leave my body, but then get into a dream-like scene, somewhen I get back, then again conscious of a re-entry or something similar. Its odd that I dont get lucid/conscious in between. Seems like for me the dream-land is a kind of such "natural" that I unconsciously dont feel any importance to become lucid lol, I dont know. But most sure is, like you say, that dreams are my vehicle to carry me to the other side. lgn

Well now that things seem to be really kicking off for me i think it's time to goto phase 2 of my plan and start learning how to exercise some control. Up untill now my goal has been to exit so that I can get used to the sensations.. It was rather amusing when my head was stuck in my body and I was floating upside down. time to go I have more reading to do

ah no need to apoligize I am wondering how this will go as my meditation is causing what refered to as "the long dark nights" where my mind is purging all the crap the problem is it's purging into dreams and causing nightmares. will try my best to follow with everyone though

do you have a dream journal yet blank?? well I think having one on here would help you,but thats up to you..maybe helpl with the nightmares too..I am a horrible dreamer at night, my awareness stinks lol and I just have random crap going through my mind, because I fall into a very deep sleep at night, but during the day is when I take naps and use my lucidity on higher levels, and I hardly if ever have obe's at night..I think its just my preference ya know.but I still recall my dreams in the morning and take nots of them on here that way I am still opening up to my sub and learning my symbols
