I wanted to make a Fool Thread for only studying this card.. I think that we should go through all major arcana first, starting with this one and understand the journey through tarot..
The Fool Number 0 The Start of the journey... The fool is an interesting card, it is a key of 0 and yet a key of 22 as well. There are 22 cards to the Major Arcana, starting with number 1-21..the number 22 would seem to be missing if we just called it 0. The 0 key, represents the god force, the force before entering into manifestation, but in the same right, this card completes the cycle as number 22. Life continues on and on in a cycle and the number 22 is an ancient symbol for a circle representing god and infinity, because a circle has no starting point or end. The Fool represents the Super conscious in which he has yet one more step ahead of him, symbolic of the fact that we never come to our limit in potential.
The Fool embodies whirling wind blowing between worlds. The Fool is pure existence, without substance or form. This spirit falls into the abyss of mortality. This spirit becomes all that is, seems locked into form. Yet this one being rises freely back to the silence of formlessness. The wandering Fool is like a spinning dust-devil that comes from no visible place, assumes a cloud of matter and then vanishes back into the unknown. All other Tarot cards are images frozen in time of the whirling Fool that is beyond time. When the Fool rules the world, he is the Emperor. When the Fool sits alone in thought, she is the High Priestess. When the Fool is terror and explosion, -- that is the Tower. All are bound in the oneness of the Fool. The Fool is bound by no-thing.
If everyone could please meditate on this card and take notes of anything that may come to you during the meditation..the key is connecting with the card.. please add your thoughts, feelings in this thread of the fool.. thanks everyone! If you have no tarot decks to work from this can be a slow study for those waiting on decks..

INTERPRETATION- THE FOOL 0My Feelings Of The Card: Determination, A divine protection, Homesickness, Being pointed the way but not listening, Not seeing the big picture, A life changing adventure, Fear, Unaware, Rollercoaster emotions. The coyote relys on the wolf in alot of occasions to get it's food and it is quite the risk taker, trying to get that food, and risking it's life. So the card might mean some risks might be taken in order to get what you want. The new found journey may be a tough one.

okay..hmm interesting is there anything else you may feel as you look into this picture? the key is trying to become the figure in the picture, for my cards it may be a bit easier..but this requires heavy mediation on the cards and I think once we do this a few times we will began to feel the cards more..I say we becasue I have not done this in years lol.. so here I go..

The Fool...not a care in the world (carefree)...adventure, risk, spontaneity...not necessarily foolish at all...more like someone willing to take the chances that others are afraid to.

I read this once as it was applied to The Fool:
To see a World in a Grain of Sand And heaven in a Wild Flower Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand And Eternity in an Hour.
William Blake
Is this the real fool or one that has attained enlightenment? He travels light, without the affairs of the world, and carries a big stick. The staff or wand in a position of unknown or unused power, arms outstretched as in a balancing act, one palm up and one palm down as is above so is below, traversing pearls while holding awe within the heavens. The rod in the right hand or Wand palm down power over the world or earthly values. Left hand palm up with lotus the power of spirituality. The Fool is always in the company of devoted companions, the dog giving unconditional love.
The sun is rising in the East and he/she is traveling north West or to the unknown, you might think watch out for that first step FOOL. But this is no ordinary fool because it is hard to distinguish gender, the loss of ego and the fine apparel. What of the first step the fool makes is it on the right foot or the wrong, I guess certain things are left open to interpretation or relevance to other facts yet unknown.

thanks ben for posting that..yes that is true for the fool.. I wanted to add something here about the fool..usually when I am drawn to the fool I feel the presense of God or the energy of universe in my life..I know it sounds strange but when I was the fool at times of my life I felt a strong force around me..guiding me to my destination..sometimes I see the fool as the rune that has nothing on it,(blank rune) meaning that unknown forces are steering us..and if we sit quietly we can feel it..

Ronni...I meant to do this, but then I went to bed that night arguing with my husband and forgot and then last night I was so tired after the yard sale day that I dragged myself to bed early and was out as soon as my head hit the pillow. I will try to remember tonight. ~Andrea~

Roni:
I think your observation is very astute and that one should adopt that attitude of The Fool, one of openness to what may come and be guided by what may come. Acquiring an absence of ego is the hardest to do it is the force that sways the reader or fool to unforeseen downfalls.

That's exactly what my deck encourages Ronni. Meditating and provoking dreams with the cards. I have done that with a few other cards before but I'll try it for this one. Hopefully I'll remember tonight and actually be able to remember the dream.
