okay guys, I wanted to start a numerology board for those that wish to learn more about numbers/astology and the connection between them. I think this will be highly helpful with understanding the tarot as well. There are several ways of reading numbers Im sure we will get to them all!! I will teach and show you my approach to the numbers and birth charts that go quite well with astrology and the tarot.

Ooohh...I started getting into numerology a while ago. I did a chart for myself and a couple other people, but I still had to look everything up. I'm fascinated by this stuff, but I'm still new at it too.

One of the numerology tasks (I guess you could call it that?) was to figure out your most significant year. I thought it was very interesting. You add together your birthday (month, day, year) to get it. I did mine, my husband's, my ex's, and a friend's. My poor husband's most significant year was 1986...he couldn't think about why that would be significant, but I think it was because it was the year before he came to the U.S. for the first time (the planning/decision year). My friend's was the year her daughter was born (five years ago). Mine is this year (2006) so I guess I will have to see what this year holds. And my ex's is 2007. So do you think that it is better to find this out after you've already had it or before it happens?

hey thats interesting usually I take those numbers to see what cycle I am in for what ever year I wish, In fact I can do any year in my past or present to see where I was at that time or will be in that time, according to the numbers, I will see what mymost significant year is, because I never paid much attention to those numbers only when figuring out my past or future lol..

I started posting my stuff. In the thread titles, I'll use "L#" for Lesson number # and "A#" for assignment number # to make things clearer.

Yay! Glad you made it! I don't know yet about the sticky option. It may remain ok in the long run the way it is. We'll see how things go. But thanks for offering in the meantime.

I don't know much about numerology, but have had an interest in it for a long time. I have several books and even a cool book on Gematria. I don't know much about tarot or runes either, hardly anything to be honest. I have read what you have posted so far and it sounds great. Can any of us join in or is it only for those who are doing the Tarot class?

I've come to the realization that I'm not going to have the time to do the assignments what with my college classes about to start. :sighs: :shakes head in disappointment:
But I will try to read what is written here and comment as I am able to. This looks like it is going to be a great study so I hope I at least have some time to go over it all.

That's an interesting article, yes. It's just a pity they (too) associate the meaning of numbers with their card in major arcana because the archetypes rarely match. The notable exception is 16/7 and the tower card.

I find it interesting to add up the sum of the letters within names, or words, it can tell a great deal. So I figured I'd post the numeric chart for letters.
My first name sums to 7, and my last name sums to 10.
1=A, J, S 2=B, K, T 3=C, L, U 4=D, M, V 5=E, N, W 6=F, O, X 7=G, P, Y 8=H, Q, Z 9=I, R
