Beltane is coming up soon (May 1st or some people might like to celebrate on the full moon before May 1st)!
So who's celebrating?
I will try! At least! It's hard being in a college dorm with a roommate who doesn't know about your beliefs. ;D
If you don't know what Beltane is about, here is my personal short definition:
Beltane centers strongly around the maypole and is celebrated in many cultures around the world. It marks the return of vitality and passion as everything begins to come into full bloom. There are many sexual connotations to this holiday, especially in Celtic traditions. It's also one of the fire festivals, so fire is important on this day. The fertility of man is celebrated on this day and the sexuality of men is important, as the young God enters his prime. Herbs: Roses, Rosemary, Lilac Colors: Red Foods: Dairy Products, Cookies, Sweets Spellwork: Happiness, Fertility
In old times it was also somewhat similar to Halloween!

Yes, definitely celebrating makes you more in touch with nature surrounding you.

Hmm, well, I'm planning on just doing a small ritual by myself. Perhaps simply thanking nature for the change of the seasons and the warm weather. I'm not sure yet! I haven't written the ritual yet. I'll post it when I do. ;D

Yes we celebrate Beltaine, But it is Samhein here for us.. So we celebrate both LOL!! we celebrate most pagan holdays in this family with lit candles, a super get together with a feast fit for kings. and small rituals sop the kids understand what it is we are celebrate.. nothign overly fancy, but significant so we can bless and give thanks! and send out our blessings as well to all family members who have passed and living who cannot be with us.

Oohhhh that's great! Yeah it was Samhain for you being in the southern hemisphere. Yes. I did a small thing, nothing too big...but it's kind of hard to do something big in a college dorm.
