I came across this technique just now. I've never heard of it before. It sounds promising. The idea is to go to bed as you usually would. Wake up after a few hours. Then while falling back to sleep you slightly move your index and middle finger kinda like you're playing a piano but even softer. After about 30 seconds do a reality check. If you determine you're still awake then repeat the process. I'll be giving this technique a try maybe tomorrow when I wake up.
