Hi Guys just wanted to start a thread on tarot cards and discussion of them, Odni and I were talking about them in live chat last night. But if any of you would like to discuss the cards that would be cool. I would like to share some spreads with you, the soul searching spread, this spread will tell you where your soul is guiding you and how it will manifest in the physical. shuffle the deck, cut how ever you choose, take three cards from the top and lay them from left to right card 1- Where your soul is guiding you, now this could even be a lesson you may be going through at the present time, the following cards should specify. card 2- This is your state of mind, how you are perceving your life at this time, and what thoughts you may need to change in order to get where you wish to be. card 3 - the outcome if you choose to follow your soul and remeber we all have free will, nothing is set in stone. I would use the major arcana for this spread since they are more in depth and can tell you so much more than the everyday cards Have fun and let me know how it comes out. In reading tarot for yourself, keep a deck for only your spiritual work and keep another for reading others cards, since we put our energies in the cards, we could end up mixing energys of thoughts, so its good to have two decks.

great Kronc, oh and I forgot to add that you don't need to ask a question with this spread, just focus on your own energy. Also this spread can last up to how ever long it takes for the full transformation, becuase what it is, is a way to see how you are changing inside and how you will bring about those changes in the outside world. Have fun Kronic

There are so many spreads to chose from that I tend to let the cards speak for me. My "bibles" I tend to are the Enochian tarot and Stephen Walter Sterling's Tarot Awareness. I highly recommend them! The tarot is my forte, along with aromatherapy. I have an extensive library of decks and books; I really don't have a favorite because what I have tends to my needs and actions. Which ones do you like to read with? I usually do readings with the Celtic cross spread ,Tree of Life, 12 Signs of the Zodiac, Hexagram I Ching, Enochian pyramid, and just recently studying the Sephirotic Cross, which should prove interesting.

Hi silverstar, thats cool, yeah I have many decks and books as well, I like to collect them, but I do use them all, I even have a Goddess deck and fortune telling deck like the old gypseys had, just with playing cards. I like to do the celtic cross too, its simplified to be able to read easy. I do like others as well, I use next major turning point one alot, its only 11 cards, but thats all I need really to know what is coming up next, as well as hidden things that I am not aware of but this spread shows hidden influences and what I should focus on at the time, which I think is important to any reading no matter what the question is.
here is the next major turning point spread, you may ask a question if you want to but also you can just think about what is going on in your life while you shuffle the deck, than lay them out into a fan, than choose 11 cards, take the 11 cards shuffle them as well focusing on your life or question, than from top of deck lay the cards out in a pyramid from left to right
1.surrounding circumstances 2.something you need to know about the present circumstances 3.Beleif patterns that have led to this point 4.Bridge event that leads to turning point 5.Turning point 6.unexpected benifits of turning point 7.what you learn from this turning point 8.what evolves from turning point 9.Windfall 10.A possible outcome 11. another possible outcome
Pay close attention to card 5 this is the most important card, for it shows exactly what will happen and how it will effect the outcome. This could even be a change in beleif or something or someone may create the turning point , remember that the 9 of cups is the wish card, if you get this card it rules out all negative cards by saying everything will work out, and you will get your wish. Enjoy the spread guys!! Ronni

I'll most definitely try that!, the placement of number 5 is interesting because that also sends me back to astrological tarot.
Good advice. Thanks.

yeah and numerology, it is quite accurate, I use the turning point spread alot if not most of the time, because its very clear and like I said it shows things you may not be aware of. Again with the 9 of cups known as the gypsy wish card in ALL decks is a key card in any reading, it always fortells of good things to come and that what every you want to happen most likely will manifest, if it is reversed it means that you will probably get a watered down versoin of your wish , which means you may not get all your hearts desire. But I do not use reversed cards at all, there are enough negative cards and meanings in tarot, reversed is just more complex, and I make sure all my cards are upright when I do readings, its just much more easier that way, I think most people would agree that we don't need to read reversed cards. Your welcome silver and you can post any spreads that you like as well!!! Ronni

Thank you, lilac! I have a hard time with the Tarot, for I know what I want the cards to say, and I have a hard time being objective. Maybe it is time to give it another try.

I learned that you need to browse through the decks and pick out which one seems to call to you the most.

Thanks for the spreads Lilacsky I will give them a whirl when i have some free time. Question- in the Turning point spread you say the 9 of cups is the wish card, can this card be placed anywhere within the spread to take this effect or does it have to be in a specific position? And also being new to Tarot does the 9 of cups always take on the Wish Card status, regardless which spread you are using? Dancing Bear

hi dancing bear, good question doll.. I beleive the 9 of cups can actually mean our deepest wishes/secrets, something we don't tell anyone but keep to ourselves, it is usually something we want to manifest, so when the 9 of cups shows up it can mean that these wishes/hopes/dreams/desires are taking shape.I think in spreads the 9 of cups should show what is coming into fruitation for example if it is a job we get it will usually show ace of pentacles with it. if you do a spread with the 9 of cups showing up post it and maybe we can go from there a bit further about the 9..

Thanks a ton!! i will keep doing spreads now until it pops up again, LOL I did do a spread for someone the other day, i use my willing clients as guinea pigs. LOL ( they love it ) The 9 cups followed the 5 of cups up in final position in the celtic cross spread. 9 being the last card. How would you interpret this final outcome. The rest of the spread was rather positive not remembering all cards laid, except the final two. Thankyou so much for all of your help. it is nice to have guidance. Dancing Bear

hmm well the five of cups in that position in the celtic has a major influence onthe outcome card(10), I would say that perhaps the person will get what they want, however it will be in another way than they have visioned or hoped for,so this is probably going to be a bit of a dissapointment, but on a more positive note it will turn out to be a blessing in disguise, perhaps the person will realize that sometimes we get exactly what we need and that turns out to be what we want.. does that make sense?lol good luck with your readings, and if you want to do a practise reading for those that request readings here on the forum feel free to do so and I will help you out a bit with it! I think bezjek requested a reading and I think one of you gals should try it, maybe see how it go's..

Thanks Lilacsky, I think by your interpretation of these two cards, it is similar to what i thought, but did not say in as full detail as yourself. I think i am getting to know the influence cards have on others. I would love to start reading, where do i go to pick up some readings? Dancing Bear
