Other Worlds Dream dictionary...

Hey everyone I wanted to start our own dream dictionary, if anyone has come up with any definations please add them to this!! I know everyone is differant, however some things in the world remain the same in the dreaming world...if that makes any sence to you guys...

Shoes-lol, okay well I came up with this on my own, shoes usualy represent in our dreams what direction we are headed in our lives, if you find yourself trying on shoes, it means you have many options(goals) to choose from in life and you need to make a decision..also of course shoes are a symbol of growth as well and where your growth may be taking you,just some things Ive observed..
School- well we all should know that when we dream of school, we are usually going through a learing period of our lives, this could be literaly going to school,learning something new, or it could be a lesson you may be teaching yourself at the present time in your life, of course it still depends on the factors going on around you while in school...most of my school dreams are showing me that I will be teaching as well as learning something new, and that im a growing as a result..
I will be adding more to this, I hope everyone contributes!

I have always thought water represents strong emotion.
Water is also said to be an element of the psychic plane.

yep thats true as well, the brighter the water, the more intense and higher the awareness in your dreams..

flying-freedom,sense of self worth,strenth of will,power,mind power,control over life,letting go,wholeness,contentment,higher awareness,new levels of consciousness.

food-abundance,plate is full in life,nourishment,obsession of food,overinduldge,eating=fullfillment

hmm yeah it maybe croat not sure, I think it depends on other factors of the dream..and of course how the dreamer views dirty water!lol

White-Pure in thought, you will be forgiving others of their past mistakes, your own path ahead is bright and clear,you will shine provided you will not allow others to sidetrack you from your beliefs or goals.
Yellow-In your own life and the lives of those you meet, your keen intuition shines an optimistic light in the darkness..also very positive color for changes...

note that of course the color interpretation changes depending on dream themes and what is going on in the dream.
also the more vivid the dream, the more psychic it is..bright blue for example is said to be highly spiritual and perhaps a sign that your awareness is growing.

batgirl yeah cars can deal with control as well, thank you, because sometimes we lack control of the wheel, =control of our lives.

I was wondering if running in your dreams has anything to do with fear. Maybe a fear of something that you may have to confront one day or are afraid to confront. Not facing problems or situations head on. Specificly speaking, it might depend, of course, if you where running from something within the dream.
Within the projection of the dream I do know that feelings are also present and that could be a clear cut indication of what the dream's intent might be.

arivis I see running as mostly trying to escape problems or yes we are not facing somethng.
Our feelings in a dream is the biggest clue we can get most of the time, we can determine the dreams meaning by our feelings. I do this alot myself.

Sorry but I'm getting back to the water thing.
I am on the understanding that water is to do with our emotional state, or others emotional state.
Dirty mirking water if you are swimming in it or fallen in, denotes you are going through a rough emotional time, If you just gaze upon it you have decided either not to go along that path or you are watching others go through a rough patch. The dirtier Mirkier the water the deeper the issues, The cleaner, clearer the water the more happier, blissfull the emotions. also to take into account your reaction to being in the water, are you struggling, or are you finding your way easy. What obstacles are in there. ie.. fish, sharks, plants, nothing? These aspects reflect on the interpretation. LAst night i dreamt my husband was helping the kids dig a hole in the back garden, i knew there would be water in the hole and assumed it would be mirky,And i was quite cross, It was crystal clear and so i relaxed knowing my children were in good hands. (shame on me to think this of my husband) forever being protective.
I am sure there are other aspects of water but these are my experiences with water.

so what does it mean to fly from the ground thru many levels of clouds and into space where I come to rest on the outer atmostphere, look down in awe at what I can see and what I've just done, before flying into space so see more, all in perfect color, by the way there was a magnificant yellow goldish castle (open allowing me in) which felt like some kind of grand masters school, I did stop and investigate for awhile, no one was there but I did feel their presence, I didn't go to far in before flying off into the many layers of clouds, then space etc as I was all excited about what I've just done.
This happened about 1 - 2 yrs ago

Often in understanding a dream, I write it down and then read it back to myselff as if it was a story. - it is after all my own words and way of expressing.
The words you have used to describe this dream expereince actually show you what the dream is about, how much you have acomplished and where you are headed! Hope you have enjoyed the journey since then!! :)

Car/vehicle

In my own dreams I find that a car often represents my own body - my physicalness, incorporating body emotions and thoughts. My car is important to me, it gets me around and has to be in some sort of working order. The language we use in association with "car" and the things that go with car are often interchnagebale with the language we use describing what is happening "inside" of us.
Cars also show me how I am "moving" in my life. Different vehicles car/bus/bicycle/truck.. all have meaning associated with them as to movement and the vehicle (body mind soul) that moves.
Generally I find that dreams can be quite literal, the subconscious is rather literal - its the different imagery we have that makes out dreams different one from another.

Buildings

In my dreams buildings show me my extended 'body' - the enviroment I am in and what is happening there in relation to myself. There is much imagery in buildings and structures and in the language we use daily to relate and describe how we are feeling, where we are, and what we are doing.

Water

For me water is pretty much "water" - again i look to see how I use the image and language associated with water to understand what my dream is telling me. It would relate more to my emotions and feelings, whereas buildings (above) relate more to the structure of my enviroment, and car/vehicle to movement within that enviroment through the different levels of it.

words don't truley exlpain the details in anything I say or write, the words just get in the way. So I try and keep it short, sweet and simple.
It was a good dream, I was energized afterwards.
I found that all my dreams relate back to me, what they mean, is the puzzle
