Can anyone tell me if Dream-walking and OBE are the same? I have dreams that people I know are in and later they tell me of dreams that I am in and its the same dream.

In doing some research and talking to others I have come to the conclusion that I am dreamwalking. Now, how to control where I go and how long I stay. Or can I? If I can't then any suggestions on how to not be so scared? It is fun most of the time but when I want to leave I can't. I can give examples if anyone needs them.

sounds fascinting, I would like to hear more, what happens when you dreamwalk??? it is possible you are leaving the body, but if you are having dreams of leaving the body some say that is dreamwalking, oh its a bit confusing lol..maybe we can figure it out together, have you ever had an obe?

I cannot say that I have had an OBE or not. I think that if I have I would attribute it to dreaming. Yes it is confusing, lol, but I am willing to learn more. It's scary also. I just know that when I am with someone else in their dream I can talk to them about it later in detail. I get the look like "how in the hell did you know that?" ;D

I will be asleep and dreaming and the next thing I know I am in someone elses dream/thoughts and I "hear" them trying to work out a solution. Then I just start talking to them about whatever is going on and we talk just as if we were in person. Sometimes a conclusion is met, but more often it's just a bunch of ideas that are thrown around. I don't remember if goodbyes are said or not, I just know that I wake up and say uh oh here we go again. I try not to say anything to the person but when they do mention to me I was in their dream (and they always do for some reason) I can tell them what was said, what was the problem and other details that I would know only if I was there. Sometimes I don't say anything if I catch myself first because most of the time we are talking and I say "yeh I remember and then I told such and such don't you remember?" I forget it was a dream and not an actual conversation. The person always portrays it as a dream to them but who knows....

It sounds like AP to me. In the book "Astral Travel" by Gavin and Yvonne Frost the tell about this couple who actually met each other in the astral before they met in the physical. They ended up getting married in the physical and went into the astral together many times. When they finally met in the physical they already knew each other from talking and getting to know each other in the astral. If they were able to met up and talk in the astral, it certainly should be a possibility that is what you have done, as well. I believe it's possible.

This sounds rather fasinating, Yes i reckon this could have happened re; Visits from others, I have not spoken to my Ex brother in law to confirm it though, he is also the type that wouldnt talk about it though. i will have to wait for another experience with someone different before i could confirm it. As to putting a label on it to understand a bit more i have no idea, what it would be. Sorry cant help, but keep posting about your experiences and maybe one day we can all figure it out. I have never kept a journal of these type dreams but I have started to. I am curious to see if they are noticably different than what I would call and "entertainment" type dream. Like what starts them and such.

I've been reading your dream journal, Lady Bleu, and I think that after a while you may be able to see a pattern or something there. Or at least see if there are certain themes or symbols that always start popping up. With the three you have in there now I would say that travel seems to be a common theme right now. One was with a car...the next with a bus...and the last on a train. You may see less obvious connections as you put more in there.

First things first Ladybleu, please try to defeat your fear surrounding your "gift", for not all of us can do what you can. And control can be lost when fear is involved. Try to focus, during these dream-walking sessions, on where you want to be, what you'd like to do, and how long you'd like to stay. I too am not sure if there is a "label" for your gift, but I do know if you are to hone it you must trust in yourself. Good luck.

Hi Ladybleu,
The experiences you are having are what we would term shared experiences, and these kinds of experiences always seem to come easier when both parties involved are sleeping.
Dream walking can seem confusing when it is thrown into the OBE pot. Dream walking actually comes in differing levels, and covers lucid dreaming, dream induced astral projection (Your experiences), OBE and somewhat beyond.
So to generalise dream walking is astral projection, only we enter through a medium of sleep rather than trance.
Excellent experiences! I met with my wife a few times before we ever really met in ‘reality’. I knew her just as a face at work.
Ever tried approaching a topic like that with almost total stranger? Lol
Kind Regards Gav

Well I really did it this time! I called my girlfriend yesterday the 6th and asked her how the talk with her son went? There was this long silence and then she said she never told me she was going to talk to her son, and I said sure you did, you told me yesterday that you were going to tell him to get his s--t together or he was out of here. She said no I did not talk to you yesterday, the 5th and I said with a big sigh, yes you did, don't you remember we talked about this dang weather and work and then we talked about how you were going to tell him this was it, he was old enough and had to get on with his life. She said with a bigger sigh that she never talked to me yesterday but that she had a dream that she and I talked and she said "what's going on?" and I said Oh crap.

Wow Ladybleu! This is fascinating! Do you have more expereinces of this? I don't do 'dreamwalking' but I do sometimes dream of talking with friends and then the following day or so I see we are talking about the same thing we were in the dreams.. sometimes i feel as if the dream is kind of like a 'trial run' a possible potential of waking life, and then some materialize, but your dream walking seems to be that of the same thread.. so to speak..

Yes Daphne I have had other experiences like that, not many thank goodness! They seem to happen in times of stress when someone I know needs me or my opinions. Glad that isn't very often! Do you remember your dreams like this?

Hi Ladybleu - my dreams are different.. sometimes I dream something, a particular setting, conversation, event, and then within a day or so, often the next day, I suddenly catch myself thinking: hey! this is like my dream! Its not the same feeling as a deja voux, its more like a surprise. I have only recently become aware of it and so am still in the process of observing it. Kind of like wondering about it.. It doesn't seem 'precognitive' as I have understood precognitive, its also not lucid dreaming, kind of like ordinary dreaming but with awareness of me that sometimes isn't in the ordinary dreaming, although i am 'me' it doesn't occur to me that i could be 'not-me'.. It doesn At the moemtn i haven't connected it to any particular emotion, but it is kind of like if I were to look today - in waking mode - at tomorrow, its like a scenario from tomorrow that plays it self out. Still pretty wierd. With my one friend, when we discussed about a recent dream I had that combined ordinary dreaming, lucid, OBE and a sort of remote viewing (in a way), we saw that also "time' was sort of misplaced - ie was not "current" in this case, but possibly "past" - though not too much past. These expereinces now seem to be "future".. Time fascinates me and somehow we get into a stream of 'time' that we call our 'reality' and it appears continuous and linear. In dreams we expereince it differently and so I am exploring that for myself.
I would like though to expereince the dreamwalking you do! Very cool it is - though would like it without the times of stress! Perhaps we all do that anyway, just don't remember? especially with people that are close to us..

I wonder if something similiar is happening to me on occasion. I don't remember my dreams but there have been times when I will talk to a friend and we both look at each other and it feels like we have had the conversation before but just don't remember when. ;D We just say haven't we had this conversation before? It sounds fascinating.
