October 26 - November 2, 2010On to the next chapter, everyone! OK, due to the feedback, I almost changed from posting a thread every week to posting sections instead. I decided to keep this structure for now, since a couple of you said you liked it. Reading ahead: OK, so Derek mentioned he wanted to read ahead, when he came to the end of the chapter. I think it's fine to do that. Some ideas would be jot your thoughts down, if you are reading ahead, and then come back and post them in the appropriate chapter thread. Or when you are posting for a certain chapter, overview it really quick, but you don't have to strictly stay on topic either, just approximately. I'm honestly still very excited about this study. Funny thing is Robert Moss has his own study going online. I didn't realize that. It started October 4th. Anyway, it's $20+ or something similar, which to me seems like a very reasonable fee for an online course, with access to author's feedback. Linda posted those links somewhere in case anyone is interested in joining next time. All right, go on

I like you too Ronni ;D
It's cool that you got this started and that you keep coming back to it, even after some slow times.

Heyyy can I add you then? I don't play games either. I just use it to keep in touch with people. Please do! Nani, it can be as simple or as complicated as you like so don't be discouraged by how big it looks.

Mmmkay...So different reactions from everyone. My own is that I have been just a little uninvolved and indifferent. There, I said it. I had lots of enthusiasm to start up with dreaming again, but I just don't care that much to put in major effort in that direction. I agree with Ronni and Derek too that some of the stuff he is writing in this chapter is a little advanced. I wonder what it would be like to study some kind of pure technique book (I mean here) without a spiritual spin on it, like Robert Bruce's stuff. I guess it comes down to preference. Ronni, I do find Robert Moss quite genuine. I don't pretend to understand your whole post, but *hugs* to you. Really, take it easy on yourself. When I was grieving death of a friend, I was paralyzed for a while and it stays with you I find, but pain transforms into more pleasant remembrance. And finally, I think all of us are dealing with one issue or another, going through ups and downs. I have plenty of issues to work with, but thing is I can never have it all figured out so I do the best I can. I agree with you, that when you are in a bad space emotionally, it's hard to have positive dreams or OBEs for that matter. It takes a relaxed and playful state with no immediate emergencies to attend to. But I do think that dreaming can provide a good healing experience as well. I think dreams guide you to better feeling states too, so just pay attention to that. That's my opinion, Ronni. Take it or leave it, as always OK, so looks like this chapter is at the end. No cool experiences to report so far, although I've been at least remembering some dreams and quickly jotting them down. I find it kind of difficult to get into in-between state. I'm either really passed out or fully awake...I do feel encouraged to keep going with it all, especially cause you guys are here.

Nani, you posted it in Ch. 2 thread and this is Ch. 1 thread. Maybe having a thread for each chapter is too much? We could combine in them in First Section thread, dealing with first six chapters.
Linda, no worries, time doesn't matter. You'll get there when you get there. Sometimes I most important inner work happens in the time of chaos and confusion (even when it feels like nothing much is happening).

Funny thing is, Derek, when I clicked on this thread, I was contemplating how unconscious I am in most of my dreams and how my dreams seem to be on such a different layer from normal reality, that how can I ever become conscious? I think maybe it is a message about how unconscious I am a lot of times even in waking hours. Sometimes I do that on purpose. I thought about this before, and sometimes I become too aware of how unreal the reality is, and then I want to forget it. Maybe that's what density and higher vibration difference is? In density, we are unaware of how unreal things things are and we move up the vibrational scale, we gain more awareness that everything is shaped with our thoughts. For example, with my raw food experiment, I do believe I moved up vibration frequency, but then it was too much to handle, so I wanted heavy things to bring me back down to lower level of awareness. That might only make sense in my head, I suppose ;D But it's fun to let my brain ramble.
So...you know, this goes along with my above ramble, and I think about how my intention, when I get in bed is always to grab as much sleep as I can before baby will wake me up. Of course, with intention like that, I just pass out and don't wake up until I'm woken up. Time to set different intentions?
AND...I think I only experienced sleep paralysis once and even then, I was half out, so not true sleep paralysis, I don't think. I don't see it as a necessary part of the process though, just like noise and vibrations are not, once you are more advanced. Also, Derek, Moss has been dream traveling (I'm sure lucid as well as OBEs) since he was young because he was sick, so I think he wouldn't have too much first hand experience with dream paralysis, but who knows.

OK, I'll go first. Incredible commitment to personal development! Everyone on here actively participates in their personal growth. To get to know yourself is so essential for any success in life. I, of course, use the word success loosely. Success to me is a deep fulfillment and no matter what it looks like on the outside, deep inside each one of us knows how successful we are.
Gotta go now, but I'm sure I'll add some more later ;D
I do have to mention something I WISH for this forum though. As much as I love our private little corner on the Internet and it really lets me express myself without any reservation, I do wish that we would have more active discussions going on and new people participating.

Hey, even though I barely post anything on there and DEFINITELY don't play any games (so forgive me if I ignore you for game requests), I think Facebook is a great way to keep track of people. Anyhow, I remember someone on here talking about their Facebook. Here's mine: www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=3226055Oh, and it might motivate me to finally post some more baby pictures...

Hey, I'm about to go post our thread for next chapter. Amy, I love the way you can extract essence out of things and put it in a simple way. Wow, and Indian reserve huh? What would they use you for there? Maybe they'll make you their shaman, could be a good thing Ya know, I've always heard about the whole teethes falling out dream, but wow, yesterday I remembered one of my own and boy, was it vivid. What's that mean again?

Hey, it's a final day, and I haven't done my exercise yet. Good thing I decided weekly chapter was fast enough pace for this. The chapter did encourage a lucid dream and got me thinking about optimizing my habits again. Looking forward to going more in depth with next one. Oh, and apparently I just got an intuitive hit that I have a new shamanic guide around. He is trying to keep me on track. Apparently, it's very important that I'm consistent in my intuitive work right now. Plus, I plan on giving lots more distant reiki healings (you're welcome to ask for yourself or your loved ones), so gotta keep that energy flowing or actually more correctly, gotta put more awareness on it, since it's always flowing Oh, and a few minutes later, when I tried to check in with my new guide, I didn't feel him around anymore, so I guess he comes and goes.

I'm pretty sure I see what you are saying Derek about the randomness of dreams.
Seth talks a lot about the fact, that any events that happen in real life first happen in dreams and that we join in with everyone else to decide on the fate of our world, for example. I wonder if he is talking about deeper dreams here, and that what we end up with in our dream journals, are more surface dreams. Our dreams are also translated into things that we understand too. So maybe if you are dreaming of something you often encounter in every day life it's not because it randomly got in your dream, but because it is a good analogy for a concept, that otherwise would be hard to understand. As much as I like the literal interpretation of dreams, in reality I rarely encounter that in my own dreams. But I think you are on the right track with trying to relate your dreams to everyday life, even in small little details. I think there is something to that...

Hey...I'm done with the chapter and there is a lot packed in, I think, so I was thinking about some daily habits to want to keep constant to allow me to progress with dreams.
First and foremost, I've been trying to weed junk food out of my diet again. Yesterday, I did have some home cooked popcorn, but ate really well and mostly raw the rest of the day and was rewarded with a pretty vivid lucid dream. So I'd like to keep going with lots of raw fruits and veggies, especially cause I LOVE shopping at farmer's market this time of year.
Second, I'd like to go ahead and start my morning yoga routine back up again and I've been slacking on exercise too. So both of those, yoga routine in the morning and then some kind of aerobic exercise later in the day. The trick for me is to get up early enough before the rest of the house is waking up, which means 6am or earlier. Also I can do any kind of meditating or energy exercises in the mornings too. It's really the only time I know I won't be disturbed.
So yeah, just thinking allowed with some changes I'd like to make.
Third, I gotta relax a little. I've been so hyper and anxious. Gah...I gotta chill ;D

OK, so I only read a little bit. Been so busy with my other project, which I will share later.
Just wanted to share a quote I liked: p. 7 “But we must do more than interpret dreams; we must manifest their energy and insight in our waking lives.” Wow, good stuff, especially when we are having pleasant dreams, but also when we are having trouble too. Just bringing those dreams out into the open can help resolve some of those things bugging us.

That's funny—about the heightened presence of energy and empowered crystals—Lena and crazycat, because I felt drained today. How about you? /quote] Same here. I had to watch myself carefully, so I wouldn't be slipping into a downward spiral. Basically, I just focused on things, that I was excited about to take my mind off everything else. Oh and my last Seth book arrived yesterday... There is a meditation course starting tomorrow. I'm signed up and I believe existenceisadream is as well. www.gnosticawakenings.com/gnostic-courses/gnostic-meditation-online

OK, I'm actually running a little late with this, but I wanted to make it a point to start on 10.10.10 and not post anything before 10.10 - 10.17All right, I think just about everyone, who is signed up, has a book now. 1. Read Ch. 1 and post your thoughts, experiences, and anything you liked in this thread! 2. Do the exercise on p. 18 Calling in Light at least once or daily if you have time. It might be basic for those of you, who are regular meditators, but it's good to try different things, rather than just to read about them. That's what this study is about. We might know a lot of different theories and techniques, but now we make it a point to practice. Next Ch. will start on 10.15. I'll post a new thread every five days or at least I'll try this pace and see how we like it. Actually, I decided to make it a week per chapter. It's less confusing this way, plus, it seems like we all can use those extra couple of days...The hardest part will be not reading ahead, but it seems that it's pretty packed with stuff. It'll be nice to have lots of time to practice as well. 3. Also, if you haven't started a dream journal yet, please do. For those, who have it, but might not use it every day, try Ronni's keyword technique (please somebody link to that thread, too tired to find it now). This includes me. Sometimes I remember some dreams, but will just walk around and think about them without writing them down, thinking I will remember, but dreams do fade quick. Let's make it the best dream study ever!Who are we, if not scientists of our own minds?

Oh hmm...I don't think it's supposed to be bitter. But in some cases, for example, when eating greens, your taste buds come to like different tastes. Seems to me like my quinoa with some carrot is a bit on the sweet side.

So I got my book wooohoooooooooooo!!! You can tell that I'm excited cause I'm up at 1am, although it's not because of the book Of course, I had to peek in it after I unwrapped the package. I read a random paragraph and it was about how your final state of mind before you die matters just as much as what kind of life you have lived, as to what kind of after death experience you will have. Wow...cool stuff. So in essence we are preparing for death here I guess, which is kind of ironic because I imagined always that while in-between lives, we are also preparing for next ones. Death has been on my mind lately, especially with killing animals for food discussions. I'm feeling restless... ;D My goal for today is to write down a bunch of keywords after I wake up. Going to bed as late as I have been messing with my remembering dreams.
