I've read about that guy before and even joined a sungazing forum to learn more about it a year or so ago. But lost interesting when I didn't find the instructions on how to go about it. The website you posted gives good instructions, I wonder what the purpose of having to be barefooted is though. I know I use to stay out doors a lot more than what I do now. I think I just might experiment with this sungazing and see what comes of it. Thanks Michael for posting that.
I usually go bare footed most of the day when I'm home, but put my shoes on to go outside. I stepped on a dead snake skull out in the grass one time and I think it still had some venom on it's fangs because a weird sensation went up my leg and felt numbish for quite awhile. So I'm a little leary about walking around on the ground barefoot, but I guess you could pick a spot and make sure it's safe before taking your shoes off.

It's good to have members who do the research + experience and later share their results on the forum.
Personally I can't do the Sun Gazing experiement because where im located on a hilly side where I can't see the sun set or the rising sun.
Remember this sun gazing is only to be done when rising sun or sun set not when it's high in the sky where it can burn your eyes.

Hehe! is the hill too high for you to climb? I live in flat country, here and yes I did read the instructions. I will keep you informed of my results from time to time.

I used to sun gaze alot as a child and teenager. But then I didn't know it was bad to do while the sun was high in the sky. I even sungaze nowadays somtimes but only when the sun is rising or setting. I feel it brings in direct energy from the sun by focusing on it though maybe just looking around it without focusing on it may help as well. I have floaters on or in my eyes now and I believe retina damage even though I've never been examined but I'm pretty sure. I see black smokey lines that float across my vision and move with my eye movements along with these things that look like tiny black bullseyes that move along with my eye movements as well. It's weird cause I can sometimes go along time without thinking about or noticing these lines and bullseyes but as soon as I focus on them (especially when I'm looking into a blue (like the sky) or white background) they dominate my field of vision though i can easily bypass them and look at what I want to see. Not sure if this was from the sungazing or what. When i first noticed the floaters I was about 18 years old (now 26) and I really don't know how long I had them before that cause it could had taken me years to finally notice them. When I did I was in a room with a big white wall and I just was overwhelmed with seeing them. Very weird. Does anybody else on this forum have floaters or see these tiny bullseye looking things?

I do have some eye floaters, as well. I also asked the eye doctor about them once, but can't remember what he said caused them, but he didn't ast like it was a big deal so I've never worried about them. www.allaboutvision.com/conditions/spotsfloats.htmHere's where you can read if you want and it's pretty much what I thought. Nothing to bereally concerned with. They are not caused from looking into the sun.

Hey CC thanks for the link. That's weird how it says that these floaters and specks normally occur in middle age cause i started seeing them at 18. Though it's not direct retinal damage I still see it as not good due to it saying it could be the retina detaching. I've always had really good eye sight though it's been awhile since an eye check up plus I've noticed in the last couple years that I'm no being able to read things from afar as well as I used to. Still have really good vision though. Hey for you can you see these floaters anytime. As in wheneve I focus on them they are always there. It's not like they come and go but are always present. I read about these floaters years ago but the link you sent has more info. Back then they still had no clue of where they came from. Interesting though. Good, I won't stop sungazing then

From what you have said and the fact that being nearsighted causes them to form, I would say that is the reason you have them. I did began getting them in my late teens when I began to become a little nearsighted. Since you can't see thing far away as good that means you are becoming nearsighted. You really should have your eyes checked just to make sure though.. I even had the sparks for a while and the eye doctor I went to did not know the reason why for he said my eyes checked out find, in other words no retina was detaching. I was worried about that then.

When I got back from my walk this afternoon, it was just the right time for sun gazing and decided I would for a while. As I looked and meditated all the colors of the rainbow/chakras began forming one after another. I did not know you would be able to see all the colors like that when you sun gaze. It was really cool. When I came in, it was kind of hard to see properly and I looked in the mirror and there was a golden color surrounding my head like a halo and a big blue dot in the middle of my forehead. I feel like, even now, that I have been in the outdoors all day. This has been a great day for me. I feel really upbeat right now. Oops! I didn't realize until just now that it is already tomorrow from when this all happened. hehehe~

Ya I nead to get it checked out though my eye sight is fairly good but I believe is and will be getting worse in older age cause of my parents who had good vision until they got older. Hey I did some sun gazing too as well today and wasn't even planning on it. I went disc golfing with some friends and on the drive home the sun was about to go down so I took advantage of it and sun gazed for a few minutes. The sunset was awesome as well!

wow Osiris your post has made me remember a dream I had this morning that I may had not remembered otherwise and it involved my favorite teacher from elementary school and disc golfing. He made a super long hole in one and it was his first time ever throwing a disc. In the dream I was so jealous cause I was having a bad game. Crazy but for me dream recall isn't just about right after waking but I recall dreams all day mainly by coming across symbols and subjects that were in the dream. I can be riding to work and see a cat run across the road and it will trigger full dreams just because a cat was in my dream. I find linking the physical and sleeping dreams together like this makes it much easier to recall many more of the dreams that would otherwise be forgotten.

When I spend a whole night at the internet caffy. It's good to look into the sun early in the morning. It re adjusts my eye focus.
But I don't know how the heck, this can, be very beneficial. Over exaggeration. I must be skeptic or somthin.
Crazycat have you been practicing this practice?
Tell me if ya got any benifits

I have been doing some sungazing, but probably not enough to do much good. It has been cloudy a lot here lately, of all things. I really do like it for some reason though. As you are gazing all the colors of the chakras and some others colors happen. There doesn't seem to be any order of when each color shows up. The colors are very vibrant and clear. I do feel very energized and have a sense of well being afterwards. It has not done any harm to my eyes...maybe even cleared up a few of those floater thingies. Hehe! When I first started after I looked for a while and then looked away, I would see these blogs of colors in front of me, an imprint I guess. It would stay for quite a while. It's getting were it doesn't stay as long anymore. I don't know what that means, maybe I'm just got used to it and am not noticing it as much. Anyways, I do like sun gazing and will continue whenever I can. Hehe! The only thing is I have to be in my front yard to be able to see the sun in the afternoon and I have a lot of neighbors who mostly live in their garages. It's kind of hard to disguise sungazing. I don't know what the deal is with them staying in there garages night and day. They have couches, TV, refrigerator, table and everything out there and park their cars in the street. LOL! Crazy people. Hehe... and there is the crazy woman across the street who sets and stares at the sun every day.

I wish my eye floaters would clear up. They've become annoying espeially when "sky gazing". I love looking up into the blue sky especially as the sun is going down and just loosing myself into the darkening sky but the floaters can be distracting sometimes. Didn't you know CC the garage is the coolest place of the house. You're just jelous huh. You must not have a garage ;D At first I thought you meant "another" "crazy" women that lived across from you but then it hit me. You know I'm just playing with you.

Hehe! You know I don't have a garage anymore. Years ago we turned it into a craft room and now it is more a game room...air conditioned. (Fragments of my craft stuff still linger there though.) Yes, I am the crazy lady across the street. ;D

yea I have floaters that I see alot. I have had them for as long as I can remember and I am very near sighted. I have never tried sungazing maybe I will if I can find a spot where I can see the sun rise or set.

Hehe, one wouldn't think that would be such a problem finding a spot to view the sun set or rise. There is only one small spot in my yard where I can do that. That's city life for you. I am not so sure that helped clear up my floaters, yeaterday I experienced them a lot. I guess they come and go.
