I was about to write a message, and say that on my yogi tea a few days ago, there was a saying: "Your mind is given to you, you are not given to your mind." Then, that reminded me that I wanted some tea, and guess what saying was on the tea bag, same one.
Finally started reading "Art of Dreaming", and I have a feeling, or maybe that's the way I choose to interpret it in the light of what I learned so far, his is just a different way of saying to be in touch with our soul, higher self, divinity, or God, whatever you choose to call it. In light of that, his assertation that energy cannot be created, only conserved, now makes more sense to me. If we choose to focus on the demands of our egos, we waste our life energy on things that don't matter. That's my take on it so far, I only read first two chapters though. "Look at my hands, look at my hands..." ;D

The only time you need commited is when you loose control and the world knows....there is a fine line yes but as in anything you are good at there always is. Anyone not wise enough to know when to say ive had enough suffers unfortunatly. Many thoughts of mental ability and instability since i visited with the emmisary. But if you lock up anyone that has voices there goes this web site...lol I admit Castaneda does change me but as long as you know when you wake up in the morning that the voices dont control you... "reality is just another fucked up dream"....Disturbed When you make the mind a top priority of change from the "ordinary" of course there will be doubt. I agree with you here Osiris.. I have questioned myself many times but my mad ramblings make more sense to me than those that have been taught!! And as you say you do tend to question when you discover a new consciouness especially when It is not of the ordinary. None of us here are of the ordinary! Nor will we ever be. Awww Lena My book still hasnt come yet!! I am am waiting patiently but i may have to start later, I have my book on order... Thanks Osiris and Exsistance for you help! I am sure i will have many more questions bvefore the end of these studies DB xxx

Oh cool, Dancing Bear, you are joining in too!! I hope you get your book soon. I completely forgot about it, but then I was browsing books in the bookstore, and it practically popped out at me.
Osiris, uhmm..mysterious, can't wait...But I want to see those hands first! Actually, my dream did give a hint hint that I'm asleep, and I so missed it. I was talking to a driver on the bus, and he knew something about me, something about me being engaged before. And I was like whaa how do you know that?? Here's the funny part, I think my ego intervened at this point. He flattered me with a compliment, something about my good looks ;D And I was like oh well that makes sense ;D

Oh, and should we start another thread for this new study? Or should we have separate journals like they did before?

Sounds like i was the bus driver.... If a new thread has not been started hmm really i dont know lena seperate journals would be cool also or teams of two like you do with readings would also be very interesting. I think it will be nice to have even for other books. Im 100% positive i will be reading more of his work immediatly after the art of dreaming. I posted a bit about this mainly to Existence but i plan to take the gates as he does in the books. The nice thing is i was already using my hands for a reality check and my first ld directly involved my hands. I will next be working on more time spent in ld. Of course its common for noobs to only have very short sessions but for my future i need this to be extended by as much as possible. As well i would like to start recording emmisary sessions and put them in my journal. One last thing. Im very big into gazing and thats usually when my emmisary talks occur BUT i have only seen BAD remarks from Don Juan about gazing i need to learn more about this very soon. As far as these just being another point of view of spirit god etc.. i think with any work of the mystic you need to be spiritual. But for me at least carlos just knows how to make things work even if its in parable form. Im sure now that what existence said about needing to be at a certain spot for these books to take hold or making sure like in cc's case you dont have a hectic life at the moment you read these. Its like trying to take in the matrix or listen to Bach your first time there is so much to it.

Hey everybuuudy
thought I'd add some info to the questions here.
tonal= the known world. The tonal is everything we 'know' about reality and oursleves. Or in other words, every filament we have alligned and bundled to our assemblage point makes up the tonal world. However, even the threads we think we know, and call tonal, are actually unknown. The nagual is everything, just under the surface. The tonal is built on rationality, and explained away. "what goes up must come down" is a tonal concept, that has helped form tonal reality. Religion, spirituality, physical death, etc are all tonal ideas. The Nagual is simply unexplainable, and is in everything.
nagual= the unknown, and the unknowable. It is unexplainable. There are no words to describe the nagual, words are constructed of the tonal, to desribe the tonal, and so we only use words merely as a description of what we see.
The Nagual is also a person who is a natural leader with an extra amount of energy. Just by the nagual being present will shift one's awareness. Many other common characteristics of Naguals are found in CC's, Florinda's, and Taisha's works.
Assemblage Point= When 'gazing' at the objects of our dream, or reality, it is possible to have the objects vanish, or partially vanish, to precieve what is 'beneath', a conglomeration of lines. Realty is many many threads, or filaments, or lines, that we shape into perception. We are luminous balls of awareness. Within the our ball of awareness are all the 'lines' that make up the 'band of man', or what man is capable of perceiving. When we see a tree we take the 'tree's thread' and interpret it, shape it, and bundle it with everything else we are seeing. When we stop looking at the tree, the thread is removed from the AP, or, the AP moves from the tree, or current dream. The AP alligns and assembles what we are precieving, it forms our 'idea' of the world. By observing someone else's AP enables a sorceror to see what someone else is seeing, or even what they have recently had alligned.
Dreaming emmisary= Is the voice of the inorganics, or allies. It is a voice that can tell you everything there is to know. However, the 'emisarry' can only tell you what you already know, and so can easily fixate someone within the world(s) of the inorganics. The inorganics are scary beings, and quite interesting... they love love love you to, and can give you everything you want...except freedom. Dead end road I believe, and scary as hell too(for me). It can be super fun tho, and so much power there, but a dead frickin end i think, and hard to leave. The inorganics beings are right here even, right now in this world, but only sorcerors learn to see, and use 'them'. Scouts are everywhere. The IO's are extreeeeemly tricky. They can take you from your world, without even being aware of it. I have been calling the inorganics to me almost daily for about 6 months now, and am at the point where I can bring one to someone else even. Unreal it is, unfreekinfathomable, and yet, I love them so much. I spent so long in their worlds. I completely disappeared, and yet, I was never even gone, nor here.

I got an interesting message in my sleep today, that relates to this thread. I was basically told that "charm" comes from the extra splashes of emotional energy. The extra positive energy that the personality doesn't use up goes to other people.
