To me, it is simply the wonder of dreams and intuition. Recording my dreams and keeping a journal is my spiritual practice, or magick if you will.
Sometimes I feel I may have live a past life. I've caught myself on a few occasions saying, "I miss not having money." Funny thing is, I never had it to begin with---at least not in this life.
My sister does tarot readings, but they scare me.

Magic is the creation of the moment, that lies in the moment. It is the awareness of will and intent, and the manipulation, or shaping of. Magic is when an idea become real.

Hmmm..magick to me is communing with spirit and asking for a favor when you could really use one, to me it is not much different than what conventional religions do when they go to church and pray to God.

Magic is the wonder of the world around us and the forces around us. It is the ability to use these forces to create.

magick? it is part of what "we" are, words and whispers from a world beyond earthly knowledge. Influence not control over life-force. Transferred through touch, not incantation. So spells that are cast, must be first placed on ones-self before it is past to others......hince the use of the "dark" arts "damns" the user.....and the use of "white" magick "exalts" them.

Some would say any majic condemns you. Magic is our perception of energy. As we percieve more and more and become SENSITIVE we see the negative and the positive sides to what we are able to do. There is always an affect but you must weigh the two and decide for yourself. It matters little what you practice.

It is the changing of the structure of energy....but what I'm getting at is the cost to the user. Don't take the words damned or exalted literally...for the holy can fall, and the cursed can be released. I say what I do to warn Michael, not to chastise him. He knows to well the affects of neg. entities.

yes I would like to know what magick is to all of you... ? how do you see it in your lives or as a part of your life? Hello LilacSky...long time no see. Magick....that spelling stems from Crowley's writings. Magick is the manipulation of first matter though intent. First matter has been coined "The Living Garment of God" and it is the manifestation of our imagination...our dreams and ambitions. The smallest quantum particle conceived. All things are basically one substance at a primordial level. This first matter or some call it ether is everywhere at our whim. We have the freedom to make order out of this chaotic substance. For good or evil. Our spirit acts upon this first matter, which our bodies are essentially made of....we make it so. Everything has spirit and this spirit makes order out of chaos and structure is formed. The Earth has spirit.....it’s what makes things go. It is why plants grow. It is the big why.....understand?

To me, magic is that invisible energy that binds everything. If I do a spell, it is like a prayer, and I use specific herbs and such to help my spell tune into the magic (energy) that it needs to work.

To define magic it to deny it, that is saying that it no longer exists. Much like faith, which is based on something that doesn’t exist or hasn’t happened yet. Then when this act of faith comes into being the faith is gone. Much like magic, when once explained the magic is gone.
Rick a friend and professional stage magician used to amaze me with his dexterity and seeming magical ability to transform objects while even in my hands. And calling the cards in a deck while I or someone else had them in our hands. He was a truly magic man. Then the magic faded one day when I asked him “how did you do that” and he showed me.
Don’t think I’m calling Bell, Book, and Candle a hoax, not in the least as I had an instructor in that too. An excommunicated Catholic priest that gave very clear meaning to the rituals and the uses of “magical” ornaments. But with all things when logical functionality takes hold of the mind the faith of something to happen and the magic of it happening fades into work.
But don’t take despair at what I have said as I do see magic, things I don’t understand why they happen and really don’t look for those answers as I always want to see the magic in others. The light in the eye when they see something they don’t understand. The radiant glow of the heart when someone feels things beyond this world, maybe there is still some magic left within me, Abracadabra: Alakazam!
What, you still here reading this?

Ha Ha!! Yes i was still there reading LOL!! I still stand by my first initial response many moons ago Magic Happens Small things are magical to me.. Life and to ba alive is magical.. For me there are many many magical things in life... and they are personal and may not be magical to others.. But for me they are what makes it all worth it. magic is what makes me feel good, what makes me feel the awe, its what makes me feel elated to sense.

hi fellows,
magic to me is mainly the synchronicities i can perceive, sometimes that makes me almost crazy cause i can not directly analyse and comprehend it, but the feel and the existence of that is so strong that i always seized by awe. what also arises is the feeling of being a grain of sand and a big thankfulness

I love that Awe feeling Nani. Isnt it just the best I have thought about this question again a little more .. and thought not only the Magic in life .. But all that stuff that imagination is made of also is Magic.. Harry Potter magic is just so cool Obviously not real, But cool stuff to let the imagination go.. The Magic Kingdom of J.R.R.Tolkein.. The Magic Film makers acheive, the magic writers and Artist acheive.. to take one to another world full of fantastical magic has got to be up there with all this too!!!

thats right DB, all stuff what imagination is made of is magic. And what makes me wonder and think about over and over, is that all our thoughts do have an magic effect too, but in both directions, good and bad, and i still have to struggle at times to stay positive in thinking, cause if not, i know, that i somehow do create and manifest all kind of things/thoughts, bring them to life so to say. So i guess that is why meditation and sort of "mind-controle" is very important on our path, at least on my path. I know some people who seem to just think less, in a way thats better i find. Ahhh anyways, it is as it is, and best of all is acceptance of whatever is, right !?! Best wishes to all you magicians!
