Heres a good lbrp that i wll use. There is also the opposite the lhp lbrp (left hand path lbrp).
Lesser banishing ritual of the pentagram
Part I: The Qabalistic Cross Visualize yourself getting larger and larger, taller and taller, until you tower above the room you are in. Continue this growing visualization until the city you live in is small beneath your feet. See the continent as tiny compare to your majestic body. Now even the Earth is small beneath your feet. However, no matter how small the Earth is, it is still firm and solid beneath your feet, anchoring you to the ground. You will not float away.
Next visualize yourself growing to large that the planets of our solar system are like tiny toy rubber balls spinning near your feet. Soon they are too small to see as even the Milky Way galaxy becomes a small dot of light at your feet. Now visualize a dot of light coming from somewhere far above your head. Know that this is only a tiny bit of the light from this source, and if you saw the full brightness of this light you would immediately be blinded. This tiny bit of the endless, limitless light forms a brilliant white sphere of pulsating light just above your head. It is nine inches in diameter, about the size of a dinner plate. It is brighter than 10,000 suns but still only a tiny portion of the source of this divine, spiritual white light. Point to that sphere above your head with your dagger or finger and "bring it down" (by pointing) to your forehead, just above and between the eyes (at the third eye). Next, visualize this brilliance filling your head with divine light. While pointing to your forehead vibrate: Ah-TAH (capitalized syllable denotes emphasis).
Bring the pointer of the dagger or your finger firmly down your body until you are pointing toward the ground. Your hand with the blade is covering your groin. As you do this visualize the light in your head coming down along with the blade or your finger, down through your body and beyond your feet down to eternity. Vibrate: Mahl-KOOT.
Now bring the blade up to your right shoulder. As you do this, visualize the beam of white light running down the center of your body forming a beam from the heart area out to your right, past the blade at your right shoulder. See this beam of light extend to the end of the universe, and beyond. Focus on this beam and vibrate: Vih-G'Boo-RAH.
Move the point of the blade horizontally to your left shoulder. As you do, visualize the beam of white light now extending through infinite space to your left. As you focus on this beam of light vibrate: Vih-G'Doo-LAH.
Clasp your hands at your chest as if praying. If you are using a dagger, the point should be up, not pointing away from you, nor to the sides or down. Visualize within your chest, at the point covered by your folded hands, a brilliant golden glow. Vibrate: Lih-oh-LAHM, Auh-MEN.
You have visualized yourself as the center of the universe with only the divine light coming through you. You may wish to remain in this position for a few moments to feel its power.
Part II: The Formulation of the Pentagrams Going to your left, move around to the front of your altar, so that you are at the east, facing east. Here, draw a banishing earth pentagram (here is an explanation on how to do this). Visualize the pentagram as flaming gas-jet blue as you draw.
Inhale through the nose. As you do, feel energy flow from the ends of the universe through your nose and body, and down and out of the bottoms of your feet to the center of the Earth. (You are no longer at the center of your magickal circle and thus at the center of the universe as in the first part of this ritual.) As you inhale, raise both hands to the sides of your head by your ears. The dagger or right-hand index finger should be pointing forward. Your left hand (which should have remained at your side until now) is drawn into a similar position by your left ear, the index finger pointing forward, the rest of the fingers closed into a fist.
Step forward with the left foot. At the same time thrust your hands forward so that they point at the exact middle of the glowing blue pentagram in front of you (this position is called "the sign of the Enterer"). As you do this, exhale and feel the energy come back up your body, out your arms and hands, through the pentagram and to the ends of the universe. Use the entire exhalation to vibrate the God Name: Yud-Heh-Vahv-Heh.
Bring your hands back to your ears while bringing your left foot back to its original position. Put your left hand down by your side and point to the center of the pentagram with your right forefinger or dagger. Now trace a line in the air at the height of the center of the pentagram as you move in a clockwise direction around the edge of your circle's space. Go 90 degrees so that you end up in the south, facing south. As you trace the line in the air, visualize a brilliant white light emanating from the tip of your finger or blade. At the south, repeat what you did at the east: draw a banishing earth pentagram, inhale, make the Sign of the Enterer, but instead vibrate the God Name: Ah-Doh-NYE.
Repeat as above, but move to the west and vibrate: Eh-Heh-YEH.
Repeat as above, but move to the north and vibrate: AH-Glah.
Complete the circle by connecting a white line from the north to the east where you began. Then moving in the same clockwise direction, come back behind the altar. You should once again be facing to the East.
Now visualize the brilliant white circle expanding up and down to form a sphere above, below and all around you. What you have done is created a sphere in brilliant white all around you with electric blue pentagrams at the quarters which have been charged and sealed with names of God.
Part III: The Evocation of the Archangels Spread your arms straight out to the sides, so that your body forms a cross. If you have a dagger, the point should be up. Take a second or two to once again feel the energies flowing through you and making you a brilliant cross of light at the center of the universe. The cross also represents the four archetypal elements: Air, Earth, Fire and Water.
Visualize a figure on a hill in front of you. The figure is dressed in yellow robes which have some purplish highlights. The figure carries a caduceus wand (the symbol used by doctors, a wand entwined by serpents, which represents the life force) and the figure's robes wave in the wind. "Feel" a breeze coming from behind the figure. Say, "Before me, Rah-fay-EL." (Vibrate the name of the Archangel.)
Visualize a figure behind you, dressed in blue with some orange highlights. The figure holds a cup and is surrounded by waterfalls. Try to feel the moisture in the air. Say, "Behind me, Gahb-Ray-El." (Vibrate the name.)
To your right visualize a figure dressed in scarlet with green highlights. The figure holds a flaming sword and you should feel heat coming from this direction. Say, "On my right hand, Mee-chai-EL." (Vibrate the name. The "ch" is a guttural sound as in the German "ach" or the Scottish "loch.")
To your left visualize a figure dressed in greens and brown on a fertile landscape. The figure holds some sheaves of wheat. Say, "And on my left hand Ohr-ree-EL." (Vibrate the name.)
Move your left foot out to your left and visualize another blue pentagram all around you, outlining your body. Say, "For about me flames the pentagram..."
Visualize a golden hexagram, a six-pointed star, sometimes called a Jewish star, or Star of David, within you, right where your heart is. Say, "...And within me shines the six-rayed star."
Part IV: Repeat Part I, the Qabalistic Cross. Here is a summary which gives a schematic of the LBRP without any of the explanations.
Touch your forehead, vibrate Ah-Tah. Point down, covering the groin, vibrate Mahl-Koot. Touch right shoulder, vibrate Vih-G'boo-Rah. Touch left shoulder, vibrate Vih-G'do'Lah. Fold hands at chest, vibrate Lih-Oh-Lahm, Ah-Men. Go to east, draw pentagram, point to center, vibrate Yud-Heh-Vahv-Heh. Carry line to south, draw pentagram, point to center, vibrate Ah-Doh-Nye. Carry line to west, draw pentagram, point to center, vibrate Eh-Heh-Yeh. Carry line to north, draw pentagram, point to center, vibrate Ah-Glah. Carry line to east, completing circle, return to center. Hands out, say, "Before me, Rah-Fay-El, Behind me, Gahb-Ray-El, On my right hand Mih-Chai-El, And on my left hand Ohr-Ree-El. For about me flames the pentagram, And within me shines the six-rayed star." Repeat steps 1-5. The instructions for the LBRP may look complicated, but once the ritual's been practiced a few times and memorized, it usually just takes about fifteen minutes.

In your lesser banishing ritual Osiris have you created a sigil for yourself yet? In lbrp as in quantum mechanics you must note that you are not only the observer but also part of the equation.
This is an interesting thread and I hope you get a lot of response. BTW did that link to IFDAWN help in showing you the relation of the tarot to astronomy and the third pillar? In this understanding the major arcana could be used as the controlling or filter the mutable fifth element, while the minor arcana are the four elements.

Yes it was excellant. Its amazing to me how closely related dreaming, energy work and these are. How much the tree of life comes into play in the second pillar.
Nope no sigil i have only just started to read and study the two. How do i go about it?

Some just come up with a design out of their head, the first impression. It’s a glyph, something you recognize as something important to you, much like you personal signature.
Mine is based on astronomy and the way in which I use or have transmutation of energy. Sounds like a task but not that hard. Try sitting down with pencil and pad and draw shapes and think of what they mean and how they pertain to you and the energy that connects to you.
When you do your magic all these symbols pertaining to deities are sigil’s, a signature to which is recognized to be that angle or whatever. You are giving yourself a magic name. It can be changed or modified but the changing completely is like disconnection your phone and getting a new number, what a hassle.
It is not uncommon to have more than one sigil either.
Another question, do you do this on a mat or rug when doing LBR's, it's a thought and has a prupose behind it.

Thats about it and I have a link it’s kind of a goof place but there are things to discover there. A lighter look at sigils. www.sigilgarden.com/ www.sigilgarden.com/chaosintro.html From this site you’ll find your up against some stiff competition to create a good one. lol And then there is the Wiki definition. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sigil_%28magic%29#Charging_the_SigilYou could conclude the seals of Solomon are sigils. www.wisdomsdoor.com/wb/hwb-sigil.shtmlRose Cross Sigil Creator Reality Creator Reference Book This article is from the Hermes Reality Creator Series Books and or upcoming books. It is © copyright by Tom DeLiso / Hermes Trismegistus. Please follow the copyright link for additional copyright information. Sigils are magical keys that can pull you toward a certain energy, nonphysical place, or a nonphysical master or archangel. The idea is to focus on the sigil and then use your dreams, meditation, invocation, or out of body travel to connect with this energy. For example the sigil of Malkuth can help you to travel to the Tree of Life Sphere Malkuth by focusing on it. You can also make a card and put the sigil on it to help you acquire certain energy. For example you can make a sigil of Geburah put it on a card and carry the card with you, to pull toward you strength and courage.

I mentioned a mat or rug when doing hexing, have you ever looked into this? If this mat is made on a diagonal of M=tan 60 then the four corners will match four points within a hexagram. If this sort of device is utilized then one might think of it as being a magic carpet ride, “flying carpet”. Also look into the history of prayer mats and ancient cabbalistic magic. It has great psychological implications and gives you a better understanding of Empirical Separation of Realities. That’s a term that I came up with but I looked on the web for that term and what I found are confirming ideas that I have formed with that term.
I am still on the idea of a sigil in that this mat would be a portable sigil and an operating platform from which to operate magic. As a matter of comment a business card is within this same ratio of M=tan 60 of about 2”X 3-1/2”, that can be an interesting thought.
When I would do this I would have the indigo light pointed North and the dark red in the South with the mat running East to West. Then I would place the pentagram in the direction of the Eastern Star.

I will have to find one of these. And you would use that to replace the circle?
So in actuality the lbrp and the middle pilar are just ways to raise energy useing ritual? And of course adding the names so your utilizing the gods. I saw recently the lbrp and the middle pillar used prior to astral projection. And it included ways of astral projection with them.

They would be components of the circle. They are defining properties and areas in which to work.. I’ll explain it later, bit under the weather and what I’m taking is for head colds and makes me drowsy and it takes more than a min to explain this concept.
Ok I'm better now it's much later so here is more on my concept:
Somewhere we discussed tesseracts Osiris and the glyphs within a seal of Solomon are like tangent points in tessering, mentally folding time and space. The magic is not rigid but very fluid much like riding the wave on the ocean of life or floating in the eathers on a magic carpet. It’s all intuitive and learned it at a very early age, at an age when others were playing cowboys and Indians I was learning magic. Didn’t know what was going on then but in my play I was learning basics concepts of understanding the world of the occult.
First of all if this feels good when you try it then you should look deeper into these aspects as it is all intuitive magic and intuition is the bigger part of magic. There are no set rules only basic concepts and to understand one has to be adaptive in mode and have the ability to change.
Do you remember I think it was A Separate Reality where Carlos was in a vast corridor between two great dimensional walls? Try the imagery of the north and south edge of your mat being these walls and your able to move along this corridor in safety. Think of that mat or whatever as something like the Tardis of Dr Who fame. So when you make the circle you are symbolizing eternity, infinite with no beginning and no end but not boundless as it is encircled and your world.
This is very much related to the three pillars of the Sephirot the blue indigo is one sphere related to female, the infra-red the male, and you are the third pillar operating in the world of vibration in the space where the two opposites overlap. They are the absolute cardinal and the absolute fixed in thought and form and you are the mutable.
Hope I haven’t confused you or anyone magic is having a flair for imagination, learning connections and having a good super ego with an attitude of no fear. Not knowing where you are in these things I would say that when it starts to become a reality with you there will be shadows. Not to worry because it is just a matter of your perception, it’s a metaphor of psychology; usually people bring forth the shadows of the past. That is something we are acquainted with and have knowledge of so it is a natural path and easier to work with. There is the possibility that you are a latent magi and everything will pop out in techno color but that is not the norm. If you saw shadows on your first try, you are truly amazing and blessed.

Recently my level of energy and the talks with my aethereal friend have been more vivid and real than i ever imagined. I have not actually ritually performed the lbrp or the middle pillar yet but is it possible just from studying these that i have done something? I know that many times while ive been in meditation i have seen myself makeing pentagrams in blue light in each direction of the compass. I dont even know if its right but at the time is feels ohhh so natural to flow with.

The best thing to do in meditation and any work in spirituality is to trust yourself and your natural reactions... Sounds like you are doing fantastic... Blue is also a light of protection and obviously the pentagram is protection too... SO i think your natural intuition was at work... I did a small part of your excercise above .. Like WOW how huge did i get LOL!! I will try and continue the excercise when i have a bit of spare time.. I have printed it off Thanks for Sharing DB xxx

You are right Osiris it is part of the Lesser Ritual of The Pentagram and Hexagram.. It is customary to project a pentagram of blue flames in the cardinal directions to banish lesser elementals and to give the magician predominance over situations.
Sefirah (סְפִירָה "enumeration" in Hebrew). A lot of kabala doesn’t use the 11th sefirah Daath and they don’t really call it a sefirah but a place holder. I use it as it is the abbyse.
Tiphereth ("Glory/Beauty"; תפארת) is usually the place where I center myself and the circle usually has six points which corospond to the lower hexagram in the tree. Then sometimes I do ritual from the position of Daath or working out of the abbyse, not recommended for a newbie. Tipheret's planet (body) is the Sun. Tipheret is at the center of the Tree. It is the point where the personality, moving up, first ventures into the realm of the soul. It is where spirit, descending, first 'splits off' and becomes physical. Tipheret is at the summit of the personal realm, as Keter is at the summit of the Transpersonal realm. It is where the mundane world meets the spiritual.
There is more to add to this but at a later time and if your dreaming this then you are doing very well. I say that because you would be dreaming in reality in that you may be remembering these things from some other time.

Awesome thanks. and Db i hope this helps to energize any work you do. It has for me and as i said ive only read them and studied them. Ill post the middle pillar on a seperate thread. Anyone interested in the lhp or left hand path versions of any of these let me know i can post those also. It is said to be contaminating and bad to mix the two so i spent most of my time so far just figuring out what direction i would choose. Ive always been sort of on the fence as far as that goes but now it has come down to choosing. Since i have yet to perform anything i feel i still have time to decide.
Strange that you mention that. On another forum whare i spend time one of the people there had told me the same thing nearly. He said that if im haveing reactions to just reading these there was surely a magician somewhere in my past. Also from a reading i recieved from DB she had mentioned that im here to do what i want. In this life i have nothing to accomplish except to live it. Now im very interested to start finding out more about my history.
