Howdy, ya'll, just me! Surprised to find so many of us already here. You guys have done a fantastic job here. You must be proud of yourselves. Ronni, I love love love this gorgeous blue. Makes me feel good. Well, who am I? A Texan for more years than I care to admit to, I write, I paint with oils and watercolor, sketch and draw with whatever I can find that will make a mark, have even used my eyebrow pencil when nothing else was available. I love to grow things, am working hard to create a beautiful garden, was sooooo thrilled to find my first crocus bloom yesterday. Fabulous little orange/gold blossom, soon to be followed by snowdrops, dwarf red tulips and other assorted early early bloomers. Soooo exciting cuz I never had flowers in Feburary before. Also keep a dream journal, OBE journal and I'm real interested now in meeting the Little People. That's why I chose my Fairy Queen avatar. Not that I resemble one but that I might attract one. So I guess I've bored you enough already. I mean, who can compete with Nightrunner's intro? Honestly!! I didn't KNOW he was born in the jungle!!! Explains a lot, doesn't it?

Hey Sandy! Thanks for coming! I didn't know you painted and stuff, that's cool I watched a bunch of Bob Ross episodes for a while once then got all the paint and did one painting. He makes it look so easy! Mine actually turned out good because I follows his example so closely, but it took me 7 hours! lol He does his in like 20 minutes! Yeah, that's all Ronni's doing. I am the lazy one lol

haha, Thanks Sandy!! Glad you made it here as well. Im glad you like the work Ive done, That is cool that you like to paint and draw, I myself love to paint , I like oil pastels the most, I just like the effect of them ya know, I love to paint pictures of the moon. which reminds me I was supposed to make Blake a picture, Sorry Blake you know I will get on that asap!!lol but yeah its fun to create and I enjoy creating many things, mostly music but I do like painting as well, I did take an art class once in college I did pretty well, but I found that if you can write your name you can draw, that was my teachers theory, and he was write I never thought I could draw , and I did pretty well, but Im still not that good, I would rather paint anyday...lol I hope you can show us some work Sandy I think I did see some which were really good! Thanks for the support guys!!!

Thanks, everybuddy, for the welcome. Martha, I'm glad you like my fairy. I love your self-portrait, too. Blake, you done good if you did a Bob Ross in 7 hours. I did a lot of that, it's actually where I started. I still like the first painting I did. Still have it hanging in my bedroom. But it took me 2 or 3 days. Yeah, I used to be awed at how fast he and others of his type were, until I learned how they were cheating. They did every painting before they did it on their training video. They got it all worked out so they knew exactly how they were going to do it, and even had it hanging outside the camera's view so they could copy it. Kathryn Jenkyns freely admitted she did that, and showed one of the paintings she had done and was following, demonstrating. They had to do that in order to complete a painting in that brief time span. Ronnie, I love oil pastels too but have done very little with them, mainly because I haven't really learned how to use them. I've mostly used them to add depth and color to a few of my watercolors. I really wish I could do music. I envy you that talent.

Hey guys, that's how I started out painting, sort of. I did take a course in drawing and one in painting at college. I learned a lot in the drawing class, but not much in the painting. I went and got me a Bob Ross book and painted up a storm. LOL! I did try to learn to play the guiter and I took a piano course at college for one semester. I didn't get much good at either one and gave up on both. LOL!

lol, yeah I began doing everything I am into now around the same time when I was 19, my firrst guitar was given to me, and I just began painting on my own, and I was also reading my first OBE book too "out of body adventures" by Rick Stack I think he did a great job, and he included many self help guides and ways to face our fears. Oh and guys I never really focused on one skill or talent, I like to do multiple things, perhaps a jack of all trades master of none type thing I have going, but I would like to be master of all someday!lol Sandy I love oil pastels, maybe better than paint, becuase they are so diverse, and I just like the colors, how they can blend really well. I usually wipe and rub with a tissue or paper towel to add a nice touch to my work.CC maybe you should try oil pastels, I think there easy to use to, but thats just me.

Hiya Sandy,
I wish so much that I could paint, I once tried to paint a cat but it looked a bit more like a giraffe! ;D
Do you remember ages and ages ago you posted a link to a friends website that had some of your paintings on? Would you please be able to post it again, I remember really liking your pictures and I would love to see them again.
Love Megan xx

Hi Sandy, Thanks for comming, It's funny how many people who are into OBE are also creative. I do wish I could paint, I can imagine the most incredible pictures in my minds eye but when I ask my hand to convert them to a drwaing or painting, they kind of get lost in the translation. I have painted a few blobs in my time I once made a good job on a painting by numbers master piece, but thats not really very creative, but it may show a potential to hold a brush steady. One day I will endevour to take some painting lessons. welcome to the forum Kind Regards Gav

Thanks for the welcome, Gav. I do think creativity and OBE kinda go hand in hand because creative people are looser and more open. Also more eager to explore and discover new things, new possibilities, and all that. I'm sure you could paint if you just get a bit of instruction. Maybe try watercolor where you can just let the colors flow into each other. That does half the work for you. Megan, dear, thanks for loving my paintings. That would be a quick way to my heart if you hadn't won it long time ago! Oh, and I LOVE your avatar. What a darling! The site with my paintings is www.frankwestcott.comYou have to click on the friends button and then scroll way down to find my name. I used to be at the top but he decided I'd held that position long enough so now I'm at the bottom. However, those are such itty bitty pics.... If your laptop can handle email attachments and colored pics and all that, I can send you some larger pics, and more than what's on that page. I haven't got digitals of my latest works. Got to get my own camera instead of depending on somebody else. I just keep putting it off cuz there's always other things I want or need. Anyway, let me know and I'll send them if you want them.
