Hello all-
I'm new to the board today, but I have visited several times in the past. I routinely practice dreaming, meditation, sungazing, etc...yet I am definitely a still a novice. I am also a college student at Shenandoah University in Virginia (absolutely beautiful here) studying classical guitar performance. I look forward getting to know many of you and sharing our unique experiences with one another.

Hi 1endless9, Pardon my ignorance, but what is sungazing? I have a feeling I know, but I'd rather not jump to a conclusion. I took guitar lessons last year and have been struggling with making the time to learn, but today I had this push of energy to pick it up and I'm about to strikes some chords. I'm trying to make it a routine, to play at least 15 minutes a day. I'll get there. Classical...yummy. I go to this Spanish restaurant around my neighborhood at least twice a month to listen to classical Spanish guitar--oh it's so wonderful to my little ears. I'm glad you joined:)

I'm glad you joined:) Sungazing is pretty self explanatory in the name...but its benefits are definitely not. You should just google it probably as I could write a book on it. Practicing on a regular basis is the only way to do it really...it's just about motivation. That's awesome you go just to listen to guitar music. There is though a difference between classical and spanish guitar...there are spanish composers for classical gutiar as you could imagine. But flamenco as you would call it and classical guitar are very different. You should check out the differences on your own...tons of wonderful music. Thanks for the warm welcome everyone...sorry I'm not around too often...just always so busy.

Hola, I welcome yours as the first post that I have read since I've become a member. Odd though I wasn't quite sure how I got to it, until I got to the part about guitar. You see, I also play but not quite the same style. Bluegrass is my love. I've also acquired a taste for the fiddle, which I hadn't quite mastered when I decided I HAD TO learn Flamenco. I felt that this part of my ancestry was unaccounted for in my style ( I'm a MEXIBILLY, 1/2 Mexican 1/2 hillbilly) so it's almost like I'm learning to play all over again. The only difference now is that I'm not a teenager with all the free time in the world so practice time is slim. EVERYONE DESERVES MUSIC
