...as it relates to shamanism. Adam and Eve lived in paradise in the Garden of Eden with everything they needed. Then one day a snake came and offered them an apple from the tree of knowledge saying it would make them better and even God-like. Thinking this knowledge would be great for them they gave into the sweet looking apple, getting banished from the paradise of the Garden of Eden.
At one time man was directly connected with silent knowledge. They could do things well and understand things clearly and they had the answers to many questions. One day man was so connected with this silent knowledge that he started thinking he was really great(self-important). The more he thought he was great, the further he fell from silent knowledge. The further he fell from silent knowledge the more he missed it and felt sorry for himself, thus feeding the cycle.

Incubus so great to seeya !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
yeah this snake-story is something really interesting and we could find many allegories, like the kundalini-thing. The Kundalini always is described as snake (psychic and sexual energy) laying convolved at the bottom of our spine. Once awakened its floating upwards enriching all our other centres, till the centre of wisdom the 7th chakra. There are many theories and allegories about the old bible story. To just take one little fact out of the whole - for me the apple has a special meaning and potential for interpretation: The apple, eating and the mouth do correlate with the 5th (throat) chakra, which stands for knowledge and communication, when this chakrra is developped we are supposed to be able to express us well, to have an understanding of the reasons behind the things, but its not yet that we can devide good from bad. This only first happens at the 6th chakra. This may say that mankind or physical existence is an expression of the first 5 chakras - real freedom but starts within the maturity of the 6th, the knowledge of good and bad. But foremost and finally the overcoming of duality is the divine goal. lgn

That's an interesting relation to the chakras, I hadn't thought of that. I relate the stories as metaphores like in dreaming. I figure the bible was written by people through angels/spirits/visions/dreams, and through hieghtened states of awareness. I find some religions are primarily a 'dressed up' form of a more primative religious sytem. I find many different religions have the same concepts and infact were developed and adapted from the same core concepts of religion. Different strokes for different folks. I prefer a religon that is direct, open, and to the point. I would never say the many forms out there are pointless, people truly need to find the path for them.
However, on a different note, I read that the Jehovah's witne$s was started by members of the Golden Dwn, and the Free M@isons... Not that the religon couldn't reach it's goals, but I have heard some strange things.

"I find many different religions have the same concepts and infact were developed and adapted from the same core concepts of religion. Different strokes for different folks." For me too that absolutely seems true. And thats it what makes the study or reading of different philosophical or religious stuff so exciting, especially the thing to find out what they got in common, I love that, cause then my spirit gets inspired and finds its own conlusions, its own mix of truth, its a creative process then, an exciting participation of all thoughts which have been thought about. And also what I love is, when then- while thinking about a specific coherence of different facts- things in reality do happen which relate to the own last thought, like a synchronicity, or like a verification. The freedom of mind really is the most wonderful and most advantageous part of this life. lgn
