elvinlady sounds like you are a sensative, with mediumship potential.. Sometimes they dont mean to hurt us like this and some have no idea that is what they are doing to us they are just desparate, and want to move on. The 1st spirit going around in circles probably knew only one way to get its message out, through you unfortunatley.. Might be an idea next time you visit a graveyard you protect yourself in a beautiful silver or blue bubble. I have never had a graveyard experience as i have never been to one at night .. creepy !! LOL.. Yes Kronic girl those negative spirits are the ones i think i am being educated about at the moment, encountering them a little bit more than i would like at the moment.. They are a fear of mine so guess what "that which we fear wreaks havoc" LOL!! Will i never learn So i am gathering courage and hopfully am armed for the next time *bracing self & biting fingernails* LOL!!

I've heard strange things when I'm home alone, like footsteps or tapping on walls. I've had things that look like orbs show up in photos. I once watched a shadow move from the wall by the doorway up onto the ceiling directly above my head over the course of about 20 minutes. While doing energy work I once saw what looked to be a shadow figure right at the foot of my bed. I've woken up at least twice over the last year or so to the sight of a flicker of red light moving away from my head and into a wall and one of those times it was a moaning sound that woke me up. None of this is really proof to me but it all does serve to freak me out a little. I've never encountered another person or being while having an OBE.

how can I protect myself with a bubble? I have some stones that I take with me that someone told me would act as protection. I haven't had much happen since I started taking them but then I haven't been back to a graveyard in awhile.

Ok DB, Ghosts don't exists, they are just figments of the temporal collective consciousness.

LOL Benhangen Fair enough!! Elvinlady to protect yourself with a bubble or sheild surrounding you, is to imagine and visualise covering yourself from head to foot in a beautiful clear blue, silver or white bubble or sheild whichever you choose to call it. Believing it works is the key to eventually knowing it works. Carrying around gems are also a good way, Jet is a good one. I do both..

No, seriously DB I don’t believe in ghosts, not in the normal context: “1ghost \"gÖst\ n 1 : the seat of life : SOUL 2 : a disembodied soul; esp : the soul of a dead person believed to be an inhabitant of the unseen world or to appear in bodily form to living people 3 : SPIRIT, DEMON 4 : a faint trace <a ~ of a smile> 5 : a false image in a photographic negative or on a television screen — ghost•ly adv © 1995 Zane Publishing, Inc. The Merriam-Webster Dictionary © 1994 by Merriam-Webster, Incorporated”.
What I meant to put in was an incursion of the astral into the collective temporal unconsciousness’. They are living memories of caporal beings in this present life. Not saying that what everybody has said isn’t a fact, but what flues them is the energies of a living person or thing in this present consciousness. These are the times I’m not sure I’m making sense to anybody. I’m even sure that what I know is a fact but if I had all of you in a room I’m sure I could manifest something that could make you lean toward the thoughts I have.
Most here would believe in poltergeist and here is a typical hypothesis: Poltergeist activity tends to occur around a single person called an agent or a focus. Focuses are often, but not limited to, pubescent children. Almost seventy years of research by the Rhine Research Center in Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina, has led to the hypothesis among parapsychologists that the "poltergeist effect" is a form of psychokinesis generated by a living human mind (that of the agent). According to researchers at the Rhine Center, the "poltergeist effect" is the outward manifestation of psychological trauma.
If a person were to have a psychological event in their life strong enough to cause a ripple effect in their collective mind it might be possible for this memory to surface in the unconscious mind in many life-times. It could manifest in many different ways, déja vu, unknown attraction to someone, or classic phoebes, or the more traumatic nightmares. When a person is asleep it is possible that these unconscious memories are being replayed and that they are making that bridge between what was and the now. It’s like raising your energy level and octave and creating a portal to another reality.
A submission for your approval; it’s a dark and stormy night on April the 15th and you have to get your taxes filed before midnight. The lights flicker off and on then finally off but the paper work has to be done and soon. You find that old oil lamp you keep around for such emergencies and get back to the task at hand. In the darkened light of flickering shadows you feel the presence of someone behind you. But you know this can’t be because everyone in your house knows not to disturb you at this time for fear of life and limb. But you still feel them there and they are getting closer.
Fearing the wrath of the IRS greater than the presence of an intruder you keep working away, trying to remember how many deduction you really have. Still you can feel that presence there ever closer, inch-by-inch. With the heightened anticipation of a hand be place upon your shoulder you turn to face them. Your gaze is only met by the darkened emptiness of flickering shadows.
Many years later and many yoga lessons later you have managed to overcome your anxiety problem and have learned the bliss of meditation. In your evening trance you have managed to or Om to a dimly lit room much like a hobbits borough with some kind of clerk filled with such aggravation that you think this must be Bob Cratchit and you wish you could help. You float there amazed that they seem to actually notice your presence. Slowly you come closer to see what this person is agonizing over. Closer and closer you go only stopping when you think they may actually see you. Their grief is so great that you wish you could touch them to give them comfort, just to reach out and put a hand on their shoulder.
In the middle of these thoughts they have stopped and looked up from their work as if they have heard you. They begin turning slowly as if in fear that they might see someone standing behind them. Ever slowly they turn where you think your excitement has stopped time itself. The excitement of maybe this time someone will see you as you are and not the emptiness of where you are.
Who is the ghost, you of the future or of the future? This is based on my own experience and the names have been changed to protect the guilty. Also the events were changed as H & R Crook does my taxes.

As you already know i do not believe everything i read.. With this interpretation above it is going by a popular concept that Spirit and Soul are one in the same, the way i see it they are separated Once Our body dies. I see the word Ghost is a popular word that to me is the apparition we see of the living energy of a Spirit once the body has died. Spirit being the individual personality of a once living person....Ghost being what we see....Soul has already moved on..(incarnation another subject) Yes collective energy from living persons can create energy that seems like to presence of a spirit and most certainly can manifest into an separate energy form altogether, this type of energy can be found in places that are used for conjuring and creating energy, ( devil worshipping and spiritual centres) and also when a couple have an argument and an astmosphere (energy is created)a good medium or sensative can tell the difference. some can walk into a room and sense the thick air.. There are many different types of energy..Some we see literally or with the minds eye either way not any less important than the other, some energy we just feel. My husband believes ghosts are a figment of the imagination, But Spirit is completely different! I will get him to explain that one later to me . This say's to me we all have different beliefs regarding this and all are valued and respected, coz this is what makes us all unique and special. I dont quite understand what you are saying in the first half of this but in the second half, i do not doubt you for a moment that you could create an energy that seemed like a ghost, but to a medium or sensative this would be obvious. Why ? because there would be no form to this energy and even if someone was good enough to create a form there would be no history attached to what you have just created nor an individual unique personality. PLus once experienced in the different feelings and visions to all types of energy, it is an automatic knowing what type of energy that is present. whether is just be an energy created by the living,by your imagination, whether it is just residual energy created by a monumental or not so monumental but an emotional event/s. Whether is is a lost Spirit energy unable to cross over, or an resident who cannot or does not want to cross over and are earth bound. Not completely true!! Potergeist activity is the movement of objects from a misbehaving spirit energy which for whatever reason wants to be noticed... who can attach itself to a place and any person it so chooses .Pubescent people are not the popular attachement places are. That is another popular misconception, maybe triggered by the movie Poltergeist. The word poltergeist is used to describe the type of activity the spirit energy is doing. and also not all poltergeist activity is a bad energy, sometimes it can be a loved one trying to get your attention by moving things. I do not dispute any of this whatsoever.. But once you are visited from the spirit In dreams or otherwise and literally see them you know the difference.. The eyes!! Your attention is almost always drawn to the eyes!! Speaking to many mediums on this one! and from experience. it seems to be a common experience as i found out after my first experience many years ago. This has also happened to me, on the recieving end and i knew this was not ghost.. I knew who it was. whether intentionally or not it is an invasion of privacy, unless the receiving person knows prior that you are going to visit them and touch them. .. Whenever in this situation it is ethical to keep your distance. I understand what you are trying to say that it is all figment of imagination because so much can be disproved, and i agree alot can be disproved, But I still believe

DB I used only that one example to further my example, it I used the more understood meaning of poltergeist it would be an example of a ghost behaving badly. Trying to explain the concepts on an electronic board is very hard for me as so much is lost. Also this is my theory and may not be true in that many cases but a few of them I know it to be true. I’m not acquainted with the Seth books as I have only skimmed through Seth Speaks but I did manage to find a quote that applies to what I’m trying to convey.
“The ego at any give time in this life is simply the part of the inner self that surfaces in physical reality; a group of characteristics that the inner self uses to solve various problems. Even the ego as we think of it changes constantly.
Ego consciousness is a state resulting from the third creative dilemma, which happens when consciousness of self-attempts to separate itself from action. This involves a state in which consciousness of self attempts to perceive action as an object... and to perceive action, which is initiated by the ego, as a result rather than as a part of ego's own existence. This is impossible since no consciousness or identity can exist without action.
Each of you exists in other realities and other dimensions, and the self that you call yourself is but a small portion of your entire identity.
Within the self that you know is the prime identity, the whole self. This whole self has lived many lives and adopted many personalities. Personality may be somewhat molded by the circumstances that are created for it by the whole self but the prime identity uses the resulting experience. Personality and identity are not dependent upon physical form.
Your prime identity is an energy essence personality, which is composed of energy gestalts.
As each individual consciousness grows, out of its experience it forms other "personalities" or fragments of itself. These fragments are entirely independent as to action and decision, while constantly in communication with the whole self of which they are a part.
These "fragments" themselves grow, develop, and may form their own entities or "personality gestalts".
You have constant contact with the other parts of your whole self, but your ego is so focused upon physical reality and survival within it that you do not hear the inner voices.
No individuality is ever lost. It is always in existence.
Consciousness is the direction in which the self focuses. Action implies infinite possibilities of focus.
What you call death is rather your choice to focus in other dimensions and realities.”
Guess I also tied the ego thread to this one with that statement but if you can see how you are a multidimensional being existing in many planes at one time, then the idea of ghosts being a sentient person in this plane is not that hard of a concept to accept as something to further investigate. It is that the “I am” is learning what it was and what it will be.
Amazing that I even found a Seth quote where he even talks about this temporal ripple effect that I was trying to describe.
By no means am I trying to say that there isn’t something there, shadows of things past mostly from what I have read. It’s the one that knows you’re there that you got to watch. Oh, in my story the two people are the same person temporally experiencing a single moment from a dual viewpoint.
Did I ever mention that I was a necromancer?

I know many of you already know I work in an assisted living facility. Unfortunately it means there are some deaths that occur. There are spirits that stay and can be bothersome and freak some of the gals out. There is one gal I work with that it doesn't bother but she is sure to tell me that so and so is up to no good or so and so is crying again etc. She and I know how to deal with this but the others that work there sometimes refuse to go to a certain room or certain area of the building and they seem to naturally gravitate toward me or this other gal for help. One day I asked one of them why do you keep coming to me for help? And she couldn't honestly give me an answer. After a bit of blubbering and stuttering she finally said that she feels comfortable around me and maybe I can deal with whatever is going on. After she went home (we were changing shifts) I had to laugh and say to myself if only she knew the half of it. The times that I have to laugh at is when one of our cats looks at an area of the house and hubby keeps going over there to see what the cat is looking at. I tell him don't bother but he insists. And there are the times when the cats are rubbing like rubbing on someone's legs. Our resident cat at work does that or he will look at a blank spot and run like hell. Anyway I will stop rambling. I have many experiences but none bother me so far.

While cursing the net radio channels I came across a talk program on the paranormal. It has a web page and has a lot of good stories and other places to look. www.magickmind.net/index.php darkartsmedia.com/UFO_CAM.html The UFO isn’t real but it’s cute and has some stories and links that are real so enjoy.

I believe in the spirit world but to me I have to experience it first before I'm a 100% true believer. So many stories and info on it that it sure puts you into that perspective of being a believer without having any first hand experience but there is always a need to have confirmation of that uncertainty that holds you back. Whoa....I felt a chill in here....lol. I think I may be called the tentative believer.

I know they exist. Tooooo many experiences. Some are true ghosts (the departed lingering); others spirits (multi-dimensional beings that were never human). The apartment I grew up in was haunted. Horrible experiences there that built to violence (it through a dog cage with a medium sized dog in it across our living room. thankfully the dog was alright) and illness (my brother's "imaginary" friend, Jonesy, seemed to be causing my brother's stomach ailments, and I was having horrible visions and becoming quite ill). I've worked at many haunted places, the most popular was a Hallmark that had a little girl ghost named Abigail that liked to play with the stuffed toys and hum. I sense them, though I have never seen a physical apparition (mainly shadows). I think part of me is still terrified of seeing one. I block it. Something I've done since growing up in that apartment. I instinctively know when a place is haunted. It freaks me, and others, out because I honestly don't know why I say it is. I just say it...and well...it is.

Hey trish I am totally with you.! I work with spirit often, helping those still living to connect to their passed over loved ones.. I also blocked as a child , but i am unblocked now LOL! It doesnt frightened me as much any more.. I only see in my minds eye,or a just knowing.. or as you say as shadows.. I swear yesterday whilst gardening, i kept seeing a little shadow kept shooting out from under the bushes and scooting off into another section of the garden... I had a chook who passed over , after being attacked my a python. she was too big for the snake, but she must have had a heart attack and died.. It was so so sad as she was a pet.. It has been about 2-3 months since she passed and i was wondering when she would visit... I guess i have been answered LOL!!
