okay here we go to the depths of the high priestess guys, Im gonna try to keep this study moving along so we can get to spreads soon..lol well soon enough!
he High Priestess II
The High Priestess represents inner knowledge and wisdom. The card often shows a woman seated or standing between two pillars, wearing a crescent Moon headdress and sometimes bearing a scroll. She is wise, pure (virginal), and possesses "hidden knowledge". Receptive and composed, she prefers seclusion to the limelight, but she is willing to share her knowledge should the student seek it. When you get this card it suggests that you already have the knowledge necessary to deal with what faces you. It may be buried deep within you and may be difficult to call to the surface, but it is there. You may be more receptive, intuitive, or in touch with yourself at this time. The High Priestess is associated with the Moon (mystery, intuition, compassion), the color blue and the musical note G#.
Inner wisdom. A time of withdrawal making time for meditation and inner renewal. A time to rest in order to absorb the lessons that life is teaching us. Reflecting on life's problems. Can indicate an intuitive person with heightened psychic powers or a time of psychic and spiritual development. Let your intuition be your guide as from where you are at this time you cannot see the whole picture. Represents the feminine side
When I draw the high priestess it usually means to trust my instincts, and usually the question I am asking the cards I already know the answer to..lol also the card may show that something is hidden from you at this time and that further info is needed to make a clear decision.usually she is telling us that if we need to pay attention to what is going on within us, and also to our dreams.
I see her as a person who is psychic and can use her wisdom to see the path ahead of her, she sees both worlds, this reality and the next..she is one who embraces both dark and light and is not afraid to face her own demons or truths.
she is also mystery, and can represent the mystery of life and death and the truth that we seek for ourselves.
I have done an indepth mediation on her a while ago, I will add this here as well..
if I can find it!lol
