I was thinking about this a few days ago and thought it could be a fun (and legal) way to share music that we like with each other. Right away I was thinking about trying to make it to where the music had to be somehow dream related but felt that much too limited so any music you like feel free to share. But we should maybe have a 1 or 2 song a day maximum sharing limit per person. So that it will encourage more people to share and actually listen to what others post. Too many songs at once and it may turn someone away from wanting to listen. I feel this would be a great way to learn of new music or music you've yet to find and to see the differences of musical tastes between all of us.
One problem I found when figuring out how to do this is I wanted to figure out a way to post songs from my collection that aren't exactly mainstream but not sure how we can do that legally here. So another option is to post music video style from youtube or myspace. Which cuts out a lot of music I'd like to share since it's not on youtube but still there's a lot to choose from.
So how bout it. Feel free to post a song or two a day in this thread of music you love and come back often to listen to what others are listening too as well. I'm interested to hear all the different kinds of music you guys listen too. We may even find new favorites by dong this.

Russian oldie from a movie
Translation (a bit rough)
I asked the Ash-Tree
I asked the ash-tree, where is my loved one The ash-tree didn't answer me, shaking its head So I asked the poplar, "Where is my loved one?" The poplar only covered me with its autumn leaves
So I asked the autumn, "Where is my loved one?" But autumn only answered me with its pouring rain So I ask the rain, where is my loved one For a long time rain was pouring tears, under my window
So I asked the moon crescent, "Where is my loved one?" The moon crescent hid underneath a cloud, didn't answer me So I asked the cloud, "Where is my loved one?" But the cloud only melted, into the blueness of the sky
You my only friend, I'm asking you, where is my loved one? Tell me where she's hiding; do you know where is she? Loyal friend answered me, honest friend answered me She was a loved one to you, was a loved one to you Was a loved one to you, but became my wife.
So I asked the ash-tree…

Wow, Such a neat video CC! That's what I'm talking about. Who knows when I'd ever run across that one if you hadn't had posted here! Ended up watching some other robot music playing vids that were in the side bar as well. Crazy stuff! CC, the way you get the video to appear here is after pasting the link here. Just highlight it and then press the youtube icon at the top of the page. It's where all the icons are. You can't do it in quick reply mode though. You have to actually click the reply button and use that page. But if you want to change it to where it appears on this post of yours then just click modify, highlight the link, and click the youtube icon and that'll make it appear here.
Lena, I really enjoyed that song/video. I've actually listened to it several times now. I hope people keep posting songs and others join in as well. I'm really liking what I'm hearing (and seeing)!

I love this Eagle River album. I find my whole body positively responding to it. It helped me to heal from pain before.

OK, here's a very beautiful song, that comes from my FAVORITE TV show from my childhood. I couldn't find a descent translation, so I think I'll tackle it myself a little later. But for now, you can guess what it's about
