Didn't know where the post this - but just wanted ya'll who might be interested in UFO's to know that Peter Jennings is hosting a special this THursday on ABC on UFO's. This is very unprecedented for someone like Peter Jennings on prime time to do a special about this subjt - you may not want to miss it. It starts at 8:00 Eastern Time - 7:00 Central. I'm going to post this on the other forum as well.

Nice, I'll have to watch that, thanks I saw a good UFO special on the Sci Fi channel today, I'm sure they will repeat it. Here is what it was about; There was UFO crash in a small town in PA in the 60's (I think), and anyway the army came and had weapons and stuff and threatened people, so now the town would like some answers. Well the SCi Fi channel is supporting this case with funding and lawyers threatened to sue NASA if they kept blowing everyone off... Also an archeologist from the university of NM is doing a dig at Roswell to find debri from the crash, I didn't see what they found because I was at work (HA!) but it looked cool, I hope to catch it again. It seems like a lot of people are speaking up now about ufos, especially older folk who have nothing to lose and just don't care anymore about keeping stupid secrets.

Yeah, i'm somewhat interested into UFO's too.
Did anybody of you guys ever seen an UFO?
I didn't had any UFO encounter myself, but my father has seen it twice.
The first time was quite long ago - about 20 years ago. It was early in the morning, he was in the forest picking mushrooms when he saw bright orange light coming down from above (he was in a small valley). While he was climbing up the light started to fade and then disapeared. When he reached the top he was standing on a field, however there was nothing special. But when he took a closer look at the field he saw 3 round (they had about 1m diameter) marks in the ground, like if they were made by some kind of landing device. The marks lasted on the field for couple of weeks, so other people saw them as well.
I'll post about the second encounter later, cause I have to do some work now.

LOL! I may have seen one once, but I don't know for sure if it really was one. But I did see something.
Also, when I was a child, I spent lots of time in the woods and there was a clearing in the woods next to our land and in this clearing there was a perfect circle that was about 15 to 20 feet round. All the plants that grew in this circle was a much lighter green and stunted in growth from all the surrounding area. It stayed that way for a long time. We called it our fairy land and we did not step over into it for fear we would step on one of the faries.

I have never had a UFO encounter but I hope to someday! As long as it's not those little grey things - I hear they are pretty nasty little creatures - like to probe around on you.

this is an interesting story, my brother in law lived in the country and one night he fell asleep in front of an open window, he dreamed that these aliens came in through the window and was putting stuff in his ear, his dog was barking the entire time, well I guess when he woke up he was freaked out, becuause it felt so real, and his dog was still barking, he ended up coming to our house to sleep thats how scared he was, I was little at the time so I don't recall this but my sister told me the strory many times, anyway the next day my sister and brother in law went for a walk by his house and found a huge indented circle in the middle of the feild by his house.
but anyway, they told me the story alot , cuz i was always interested in that stuff when I was little plus I think its a cool story and I beleive them completely.

Hi guys. Yes I have had some UFO sightings. After all I live in UFO central. Pilot Mt. NC is well known for its sightings.
The first time I was 16 years old. I was driving down the road with my mother. We saw a big orange-glowing disc shaped thing in the sky. It was low, just barely missing the tree tops. We turned the car around for another look. It only took us maybe 20 seconds to turn around. The thing was right there at us and now it was gone! Just plain gone.
Several people saw it and even the local sherrifs dept. saw it, but that was quickly hushed up and we heard no more about it.
My father and I used to sit out in the yard at night to watch these odd lights just floating around the knob on Pilot Mt. We always knew when something was really up, cause the lights would appear and then so would about a dozen jets. They would come in from every direction heading for our little "lights"
Then the little lights would just be gone. You didn't see it fly away, it would just dissappear. And then all the jets would fly around the area for a little bit and then they would leave.

cool story Martha, I have never really seen anything myself, but one time in the upper pennisula of Michigan, on one of the great lakes, and there was a glowing over the entire water, llike a yellow shimmer, just above the water, I thought that was odd since the ship Fitsgerald sunk in that lake and it was so big, there is songs about it and museums about it, but anyway perhaps that glowing light was coming from the ship.... oh and my sister used to tell me if I ever saw a flashing light outside my window, don't go outside, lol, its aleins, haha, she was just being funny, but I listened to her.lol Ronni

Ronni, that was a cool story about the ship. You never know... I watched the show last night. I learned some things I did not know.
The triangle shaped vehicles. I believe I have seen one but was not sure. There were no lights on the one I saw. I was coming into the house one night. The stars were shinning and I "felt" a shadow coming across me.
I looked up and it was like part of the night sky had been blacked out. I could see an outline of something floating there. There were no lights at all, but I could just tell that something was there.
I guess the most remarkable sighting I have ever had occured during the daylight hours. This was about 13 years ago. My daughter and I had pulled into our driveway. We started into the house and when we looked up there was a silver disc moving across the trees just behind our house. There were no windows no lights that I could tell and no sound at all.
I was glad she was with me so somebody would believe what I had just seen.

I missed the show last night but maybe you guys can tell me about it more. ?? ;D yeah Martha I wish I lived in the middle of no where sometimes, well all the time, hehe, since I live in the city and I can hardly see the stars at night, I think the further away from the city you are the better chance youll have at spotting something unusual.

Ronni,
I was somewhat disappointed in the show last night. It was nothing really new esp. to those who have studied the phenomenon of UFO's pretty well in depth. Although, I do believe it was a positive step at least for the mainstream media to see how many people do take the subject seriously (esp. when I believe they see their ratings - I one will be interested in seeing the ratings last night).
It still gave the skeptics an edge I believe but who knows! We were discussing on the other forum that it would probably take an alien aircraft to land somewhere for everyone to see that they in fact do exist.

good so I didn't miss much! I was watching close encounters of the third kind the other day, thats a great movie one of my favorites, but anyway, I was thinking that us humanss need to see something like that, we need to know there is something else out there, I think it will just make us feel better and also put an end to the universe revolves around us thing. haha, I know that I myself would love to see one, and I hope we do get a huge visit from ufo's soon, lol

Yea, that show was pretty lame The best part was towards the end when they discussed abductions.... basically the abductees were always in sleep paralysis which I thought was cool, I even thought that they might mention obes for a second. Whoever those doctors were that wrote off the abductee's claims as just sleep paralysis were sort of upsetting me because yea, SP is frightening and you hear voices and all that, but it doesn't last long enough for you to fabricate an intricate story of being taken onto an alien spacecraft! Also they did leave you with the impression that roswell was only about a weather balloon!! Please!!! The crash site was a mile long!!!! They didn't even mention the fact that there is an archeological dig going on there!!! Plus, every five minutes you had to listen to Peter Jennings!!!!! I'd rather that cheesey dude from unsolved mysteries ha!

It was Peter Jennings, how much could we expect from him on this subject? The triangle vehicles is the only thing new to me. The one that I saw, I thought maybe I had misinterpeted the exact shape. So Iwas glad to know others had seen vehicles of this shape.
