Great article, I have done that myself already. I have all kinds of friends that I have been easing into the idea of Wicca by just discussing religion in general and my views of it without actually using the words Wicca or Witch and so on and so far most people view my ideals as good and nothing to worry about. it also works with the family and the inlaws, although some may never like the idea it does work for a majority of people.

Oh good, glad to know it is ok. Actually without realizing it I guess I have already been doing this kind of easing into the subject. Family is going to be the hardest but if they don't condemn me outright I will feel fortunate. Thanks for the post Silver

Thanks for the post Silver Unless your family happens to be very strict in their religious upbringing I would think they could be supportive. just slowly start easing them into by discussing general views and avoid terms like Witch and Wicca for now and avoid talking about spells and magick, save that for after you think they might be accepting of it.

Good advice. I think my husband will be ok, in the 22 years we have been together he has not gone to church or anything like that. He had religion shoved down his throat when he was growing up and it kinda soured him but my Dad and sisters and brothers are a different story as they are biblethumping Catholics thru and thru, as is my son in law and daughter in law who live very close to us. But I will continue to pray for strength and keep using the suggestions in the article. It really helped me with a starting point. I think that was my biggest obstacle how to get started. Most religions don't have that problem. If one blurts out "I'm Christian" no one looks at them as if they have lost their mind. Thanks again Silver
