Now I'm going to go and buy a Ouiji board this week. Does anyone know anything about them? Since I have this ability to see people at a certain time, that 2-4 a.m (which I'm up now so I'm not seeing anyone, and I'm happy about that right now), I just want to know if anyone has had any luck with the board? Or is it just myth? I'm even wondering now where this board came from? Lots of questions. I found two magic stores in the city that I'll visit this week, maybe they have some info on this board. But right now I know zilch.

Hi astralanchor. My opinion on the Ouiji board is it is an invitations to any spirit to enter into our world. You never know what you are going to get. It can be a good divination tool, but I would only use it in a well protected circle. I would not harvest any fear or negative thoughts while using it. Your mind frame and level of awareness will dictate what kind of experience you will have. Spirits are present all around us, including our own. Have fun!!

Yeah years and years ago me my mom and my husband (we weren't married at the time) used the Ouiji for a while. It was fine at first, we were able to contact past relatives but then we got a message that we were in the midst of opening up a portal to evil spirits. Weird things began to happen and the messages got more urgent so we stopped using it. Haven't used it since and it's been about 10 years.
If you do go ahead with getting it I warn you to be extremely careful and like Incubus said do not hold any negative thoughts while using it. And be careful in what you ask for, make sure you word it clearly and specifically.
Other than that have fun with it and let us know how it turns out.

Now I'm scared to use the thing. I'm glad you told me all these things. Maybe I should just be happy with the spirits I have now. I experience these negs that I don't like, but I'm dealing with them. I don't have any experience with dealing with such a thing and don't know anyone that does. I'm going to hit the magic stores to see if they have anything interesting to say about them, but it still leaves me curious.

I don't mean to scare you away from it. This is just my own experience with it and at the time me and everyone else who used it wasn't very informed of it. I'm sure there are people who get good positive use out of it.
When we used it, it was during the winter months and depression runs in my family and my husband has dealt with it too. At that time there was a lot of darkness going on within ourselves, you know the basic teenage struggles, a three way depression feast at it's height. I believe our mindset at the time had a lot to do with the outcome of our experience. Just to let you know some pretty stupid things were done with it. Like take it to graveyard and a graveyard that had a sacrifice alter (believed to be a witches graveyard/alter of somesort). It wasn't until after this we experienced negative feedback from it. I never did use it while in the graveyards but others did. And what's more scary in they used it On TOP of the sacrifice alter and gravestones there. I wasn't present at the time they did this but I was told by several people that were there that the gravestone broke. We had a lot of stupid friends who didn't didn't listen to warnings of using it in places such as that.
Do your research and use common sense while using it. You will find that are a lot of people that will tell you not to use it and it's evil, but you will also find there are people who say it's not evil. It all goes back to the fact that the negative always gets reported while the positive doesn't get reported as often. This is how it is with anything I mean not many people take the time to write or talk about something that works, but just about everyone will talk or write about something that doesn't.

I agree with anise, I also think that the talking board is for opening your subconscious, which is a bridge to the other side, not always dealing with spirits but with your own inner knwoledge and wisdom, I think many people have the wrong idea about talking boards, however if we project negativity towards something it will usualy bounce that energy back to us, that is if we believe in a negative fashion towards something. so its basicly a tool just like tarot cards.. that is how I see it anyway. I had one for a while, an old one, I think I had an authentic one It had a unusual box, I found it at a flea market years ago, an old woman sold it to me for a buck. but I used it many times, and honestly It didn't do anything because I did not believe in it really I was also more afraid of it..due to movies or bad reps about the board.. but anyway, nothing bad ever happend..I think if you feel positive about it go for it, if not ya know its up to you.. heres an interesting site you, the history of talking boards..its pretty cool www.museumoftalkingboards.com/history.html

Haha I was going to post that same link haha.
But yeah I agree 110% with Ronni on this one. Just remember whatever you give to the universe you will get in return.
Don't be afraid of it.

We used the ouiji board for a while when I was in my early teens, but I remember stopping because things got a little bit strange.
Its just wierd communicating like that, especially if you enjoy a nice face to face conversation before a warm and cozy fire...
Once, we made board out of cardboard and used a black marker for the letters. It worked, but started getting freaky so we decided to throw it away. Apparently there was some myth that you can not throw a ouiji baord away, but must either give it away, or burn it.
We rolled ours up and threw it into a sewer. When we came back to my house, the center triangle piece was sitting on my front porch.
That got our eyes open. I still wonder if we dropped it by accident, but how could we be so clumsy? I don't remember dropping it.

I personally wished I had never played with one. Just be careful and expect the paranormal to happen. My sister and I played with one once and the room turned icy cold. Another time I was playing it with several friends and the lady's christmas tree lights started blinking. She could not stand blinking lights and did not have any of the blinker lights bulbs. She had to unplug the tree to make it stop. This began about an hour into playing with it. Later one of these friends began to have weird things to happen around her home. This same friend, who was well balanced, having a nice life began having all these medical problems and she ended up killing herself, because the doctors could not find anything wrong. She was in horrible pain and they sent her home saying there was nothing else they could do for her and her went home, straight to her bedroom, got her gun and blew her brains out.
To me it is kind of like the inorganic beings in the "Art of Dreaming" book. You get hooked on the excitment and thrill of what they can give, but then you will have to pay for that thrill.
Sorry if that scares you, but that is the way I feel. If I had it to do over again, I would not play with it at all. The Ouiji board I bought was purchased after reading the Seth books. In my inmaturity, I thought it would be cool to learn to channel with one. We can't go back and change things that have already happened.
The way I got rid of mind. I gave it to my husband. He said it would work perfect for something he wanted rigged up in a work truck. He had to cut on it to do this. Later that truck caught on fire and burned. They could not figure out the reason why.
Just be prepared for the paranormal, that's all I've got to say.

LOL! Ronni. He doesn't believe an any of that kind of stuff. There is no way he would believe that truck caught on fire because of that ouiji board. I'm just glad he wasn't in it, or caused a wreck while he was driving it. I did not even mention that the ouiji may have been the cause. It would have just made him mad. Even, One time I took it with me on vacation to visit his family in Tenn. and his sister and brother played with it with me. Actually we were all in the room. His sister and brother and I were the ones with out hands on it. The board kept insisting that I let my oldest daughter be the one to have her hand on it, but I refused to allow that. When I refused it just stopped speaking and would not move anymore. So that was the end of that. Of course my husband just thought it was me and his sister and brother doing it, but he would not put his hands on and give it a try. HeHe!

The only reason why I got curious about the Ouiji board was of all the paranormal experiences I had this summer. I'm averaging them at least twice a week and I just wanted some answers. I thought it might help this ability. I have to take a step back and think about all this. I've been putting off going to the magic shops. I thank you for your advice, awareness, and caution.

Reading this thread has made me want to get an ouji board, but I think if I did my roommate and I would just end up opening the gates of hell into our apartment so I think I'll leave it alone. hehehe

I'm going to see if there are any Ouiji/talking boards groups out there in this city. I would prefer to be around other people that have a tad more knowledge on this subject than I do. I wouldn't bring one into my house. It's too small and I feel claustrophobic as it is. Too bad I can't bring it upstairs to my noisy neighbor's house.

Ok, I went to the magic(k) store today. I was disappointed with the place. The workers, the owner, the appearance of the store. I don't know but I think a magic/witch store should be fun, not dreary. I like dreary too, but not this type of dreary. I like cemetaries that are dreary. They really never spoken to anyone that sees spirits, so I guess I just was looking in the wrong place. I have two more magic shops to go. It's like going to a furniture store looking to buy shoes. I just have to keep on searching.

Wow you have three shops to choose from? I don't have any near me.
Good luck with the searching and trying to find a group that has experience in your area is a good idea too.

I'll give them a rating after I visit the other two. I don't know too much about witchcraft. Perhaps I'll learn that too. The first spell I would cast would be for those witches to clean up their store. I'll visit the other two tomorrow. Thanks Anise.
