I just wanted to ask if anyone used reversal readings in tarot??? I find it a bit confusing to use, however I think there are enough negative cards in the deck, so I do not use reversals.. I think they are good to use in yes or no readings but thats about it for me.. I think most often reversals mean the same thing but taken to an extreme level of interpertations of the cards..for example page of swords=bad news, the news will be even worse than you thought it would be, the surrounding cards will effect what type of news it is.. does that make sense to you guys.. I just find it difficult to read reversals since sometimes they are good meanings, sometimes they are only the extreme of the upright card.

No I've never done reversals. I figured I would get to that when I got more comfortable with the cards, whenever that will be.

I do with my oracle deck. Of course I'm more comfortable with that deck. I believe it's only a few cards short of a traditional tarot deck. The oracle deck I have doesn't have the 10 in each "suit". But everything else seems to parrallel traditional decks.
With the reversed meaning I find that if you read what the card would mean right side up and take the opposite of that meaning then it works, for me at least. I'll post my daily spread and explain a little more in that as I got a reversed card today.

I use them. Because however the deck wants to say it to you. And if it was meant to be upside down.

yes but ancient teachings of the tarot are not of reversal cards, however it is up to our subconscious to show us what its trying to get across to us, not by someone else theories or teachings of the tarot, thats why books can be obsolete as well.. If they were like playing cards, than it wouldn't matter lol..well its up to you guys, what ever feels right to you is what matters.

I use all the cards upright because I find it messy that no matter what reading I'm going to do each card will have a fixed upright/reversed position.
But when interpreting the cards I do consider the reversed meaning may be more appropriate. When unsure, I double check with my pendulum.

I just use the pendulum on the card, instead of clock-wise/conterclock-wise for yes/now it picks up of the upright /reverse energy the card gives off.

cool ya know I use an amethyst crystal sometimes to pick out my cards, and the odd thing is I can feel a slight pull when it is above a certain tarot card, that is the one I draw and it works pretty well.

I never tried this but I'm not surprised at all it works so well. I'll experiment with my amethyst crystal next time.
