Yes, these are named just like all the other cards (The Fool, The Magician, etc.). They use chalices instead of cups (not really a difference). Each one was drawn to be as historically real as possible. The Major Arcana each represent someone.
The Fool - Aken-Aton The Magician - Sethi I The High Priestess - Tuya The Empress - Nefertari The Emperor - Ramses II The Hierophant - Nebunenef The Lovers - Lovers The Chariot - Menna Justice - Maat-hor-neferu-Re The Hermit - Khaemwese The Wheel - Heb-Sed Strength - Bent-Anat The Hanged Man - Hemew Death - Osiris-Nefertari Temperance - Hathor-Nefertari The Devil - Seth The Tower - Ramesseum The Stars - Isis-Sothis The Moon - Opet The Sun - Merenptah Judgement - Moses The World - Shen
I think I have to look over in my Who's Who in Egyptian Mythology book to get a better understanding of some of these people. I know of some, but my studies haven't covered all of them yet. I think the history of each one would help me learn these cards as well.

Yes, this should be an interesting study. Especially since it sort of revolves around part of my belief system and something that I enjoy. I think these cards sort of tie it all together. And these cards were nicer than the other Egyptian sets I've seen (those were just symbols and stuff...didn't really have a lot of imagery).
