I have been looking for work for a bit over a month now, I cast the Runes and asked if I would find a job soon. I drew Ingu, I took this as a new turn in my life and took it for a yes. Two hours later I got a call from a place to come in and interview! I had submitted an application there a month ago. I felt good about the interview very confident. Yesterday late I got the call to come in to do the paperwork needed to put me on the payroll. What can I say, I am hooked now.

Excellent Lady Bleu !!! Runes are like that aren't they? What are your Runes made of? What books do you use? I have a poem here from the book of Ralph Blum, The Rune Cards. copyright 1989. 1995 Ralph H Blum, Eddison Sadd Editions. Harper collins Publishers. This is the Poem that goes with Inguz. The Butterfly emerges still moist from her cocoon. This is how new life comes, softly, secretly, among the green shoots. I Love this book!!! Good Luck with your new job Dancing Bear I added the details of the book because i do not know the copyright laws within this forum. so thought just in case i will cover the bases.

Mine are made of crystal, I have not used any books yet just the page that came with them and an interpretation from a site I visit. I know there are alot of books out there, I will have to choose one or two. I am very intrigued with this tool.

Yes it is a fasinating medium isnt it. I dont know whether you have this site yet but i found it quite good. www.sunnyway.com/runes/meanings.htmlIts basic meanings, but i found .... if i discover all the types of interpretations...eventually i will blend them and make my own... through life experience and knowledge gained through reading about them. I am still learning about them.... I am on another site also and theres a guy in there who just is a master... full of information, history etc... He just blows me away everytime i read what he has to say. I am learning so much more than i thought i could.... Also makes me feel i know nothing in comparison... a very humbling experience 16 years of working with them is just a blink of an eye and it takes me right back to day one... I just Love the Runes!!...... I am drawn to the Celts and the Nordic regions, My ancestors are descended directly from the Celts, so probably explains the pull. I would really love to delve more into the Celtic Runes. I have only worked with the Nordic version. I am going to do some research on the Celtic version and make them so i share my findings in the Runes Thread. I am finding it a bit of a juggle learning more about Runes, and trying to learn Tarot also. I think I am doing OK though!!! I just find I'm not one to do spreads for myself. Which makes it hard sometimes. Anyways I am babbling now. I am glad you Love the Runes! Dancing Bear.

Thank you Dancing Bear for the site address, I agree that different interpretations can be combined to make them more personalized. I have read different interpretations and while for the most part they are similar they are after all just that persons way of thinking. I have found some that just feel right and some that don't. Does that make sense? In runes I find that the single rune draw works for me when I have a question about myself. I can't seem to do a layout for myself. I wonder if our minds mess up the reading. Well enough for me, I'm starting to ramble, lol. Blessed Be Lady Bleu

You are spot on with your view about the interpretations...They are all just that persons way of thinking. Yes you do make sense to some making sense and some not. Like i am really drawn to the spiritual side of the interpretions rather than just the divination. I thought when i first picked up runes, Why would you just want to predict something , and not be able to spiritually grow also with the meanings. I found a book that is now all tattered and torn with pages just resting inside, It is my one and only now and will never part with it. This book showed me how to spiritually grow with the Runes. I am hoping to convey what i have learnt in the Runes thread. *crossing fingers* Because i am on a favourite subject i can babble for hours but wont. hehe.... Dancing Bear

;D Well I never was one to make sense all of the time but then thats me. I didn't realize runes could be used for spiritual growth. I would like to learn more on that.
