Here's a spread I use that mixes both the Tarot, runes and Numerology. The latter is more for backing up the cards and runes if needed. If the info desn't shed more light on the particuliar issue, I leave it aside.
Past : 1) Rune 2) Card 3) Previous personal year Foundation of the problem : 1) Rune 2) Card 3) Karmic lessons Present : 1) Rune 2) Card 3) Current Personal Year and Pinnacle Challenge : 1) Rune 2) Card 3) Current Pinnacle and Challenge 4) South Node 5) Karmic lessons Best Approach : 1) Card 2) Life Path, Current Personal Year and Essence 3) North Node or Part of Fortune Future : 1) Rune 2) Card 3) Next Personal Year and Essence Outcome : 1) Rune 2) Card

So you don't use a rune for "Best Approach" position?
I'm just trying to get a visual here. It seems like an interesting in depth reading.
Do you have a sample layout of the spread? or do you do "two" reading (in a sense) and apply the numbers later?
I intrigued but a bit confused. Well not really confused as much as interested in more info on this type of spread. This is something new to me, and I'm drawn to it.

Hi Kelly,
Here's what I do. There's nothing written in stone. It's more of a guideline to me.
I draw the cards, then the runes which I place on the cards. The I sort out a mixed interpretation pointing out how they support or complete each other. Finally, I look up the numero/astro data to give the context of the situation, how it stands out on the querent's journey and the inner energies they can tap on or should be wary of.
The layout is based on a celtic cross spread.
..4.....7 2...1...6 ..3.....5
1:present 2:past 3:foundation 4:challenge 5:best approach 6:future 7:outcome
I usually don't add a rune in best approach position because advice can usually be figured from the rest of the reading alone. I guess most readers with a little experience don't even need this position but I still keep it because it's good for some querents to receive the info from inanimate objects.

Ah I see, I kinda had a feeling that's how you basically did it.
The first thing that came to mind was the "missing rune" in best approach. Then all the other questions came flooding in. But I see what you mean, and understand. I'm going to give that a try once I get my runes and get acquainted with them. I already do the tarot and numerology seperately.
Thanks for this new spread idea.
