I had this dream about a decomposing dead body. This body was in a casket and I could see the person in it. The person who was in it is already dead. Why would I dream this anyway? I could smell the rotting body in my dream and I kept telling the people that we had to hurry up and bury this person. It was really bothering me that they were taking long to bury this person. Any thoughts out there?

Hi marilyn,
so what relation does the person who died have to you? and how did you feel about this person? was it the person that bothered you or the smell of them? perhaps it just means you are trying to put something to rest, to forgive and move on, but for some reason somethiing must be dealth with first, the smell could even be a way of telling you that something is still up in the air, not dealt with, but I would just ask yourself some questions about this dream, like perhaps "what significance does it have to me and my life"? maybe ask this before you sleep and than write everything down as soon as you wake, if you feel that is dream has a strong impact on you, than it is an important dream and it should be looked into further.

Ronni, the decomposing body I seen was my dad's. It was 3 years this February. That is what I don't understand. I knew my dad was dying (he had liver cancer), so I read everything there was on liver cancer and found out how towards the end, it could be very painful. You don't know how many times I got down on my knees and prayed to the Creator to not let my dad suffer. By the way he didn't, he developed pneumonia and his immune system was too weak for him to fight it off. He died within 5 days. The good Lord answered my prayers about him suffering. I held his hand until he took his last breath and talked him to the light. My hand that was holding his lit up in the middle just before he took his last breath. I loved my dad and I know he completed his mission on earth. I miss him but know I will see him again. He is definitely in my soul group. That is why I am wondering why I would have such a dream. It's always good to chat with you's. Have a nice day.

yeah Marilyn maybe your right about the soul groups, I kind of beleive the same thing, that my family and everyone in and out of my life are from the same soul group as well. I think you already have the answer to this dream and why you dreamed oh your dad..It could even mean that your growing spiritualy. It could even be he is sending you a message, if you have fears of death , or something in your subconscious is showing you something about death, perhaps your true feelings. sometimes dreams just say what we allready know, and sometimes they tell us something new. Its up to you to come up with your own answers,. I am glad your dad did not suffer Marilyn, but I am sorry to hear he passed on.

Ronni, I am not afraid of death, I am only afraid of how it's going to happen, but I don't worry about it. Usually I am pretty good at what my dreams are telling me. Sometimes, I guess we remember bits and pieces only, that is why some of them don't make sense. I had a visit from my dad one night. He gave me a message that I will not tell anyone. He believed that he could tell me because he knew that I wouldn't freak out or get scared. My other siblings probably would get scared. They don't have OBE's. I talk to them about them though and it is kind of hard to explain to them unless you had one. I am still grateful to our Creator for giving me this gift.

yeah I agree it is hard sometimes, and I think the dreams that stand out to us most, we end up figureing them out later in life, sometimes we don't figure them out right away, they just take time to understand. My family is pretty openminded, and I talk they listen, which is a blessing to me, and I am thankful for that and having the abilitie to project as well!
