I find it amazing that it's so easy for us (or me, but I use us or we as for in general) to totally accept the dream world as reality. Most of the time it doesn't matter what's happening but we just accept it as real. Now while I've been getting better at seeing cues in dreams and using them to become lucid, it still amazes me of what kind of dream content can go on and and how easily it's accepted as reality. In the morning when I do lucid dreaming techniques to have LD's I tell myself that at this moment I'm in bed and that I'm falling to sleep. SO if I find myself anywhere other than my room in the next few minutes or hours then for sure I'm dreaming and to become lucid. Well I fall to sleep and I'm in a dream in which I'm maybe 10 years old and living back at my old house or any number of things that wouldn't be possible or what's going on in my current life at this time but I just go along in the dream believing it's 100% real until I become lucid or wake up. It seems most of my LD's are just spontanious as in I just become aware in the dream much like coming out of a day dream in waking life and realizing I've been in a semi trance and I become very lucid to the physical world around me. (I work on levels of awareness on a daily basis and this really helps me to get lucid in dreams and in waking life; I'll explain more on this in another post)
Maybe in dreams our souls can really feel the element of there being no such thing as time and can live in the past, present, or future as we think time to be and believe in it because it is real and doesn't find anything strange about it.
Anyways, all these years of working on LD'ing and it still amazes me that when something is happening in my dream that in waking life would make me question if it's a dream or not is something I just believe in in the dream and accept it as real.
