Recently when I hav been having lucid dreams it will take me a moment to realize Im dreaming. Once I realize it my body seems to be trying to wake up. And in the dream I know it. I can keep myself in the dream for a short time but doing that takes, surprisingly, alot of energy so if I concentrate on keeping myself asleep I cant do anthing else. But sometimes I can still be in the dreams in a sort of awake sleep if that makes sense. But usually if I can concentrate a little and still live in the dream but that only lasts for a few minutes before I wake up. Is there anyway I can stay asleep and really get deep into the dream.

well it sounds like your body is trying to get your attention, also it sounds like you could leave your body at any time..thats what its seems anyway..what happens is your shifting your awareness a bit too much perhaps, causing confusion or the focus to lack..but I think that this is good, because your awareness is shifting, you are also gaining higher awareness here..I know what your going through with this, I do this too..I also just end up laying there for a moment listening to my body sleep..now when this happens you have two choices, you can began to apply out of body and try to get out...or you can shift your awareness again back to the dream world..I would suggest next time this happens say to yourself "I have power" and try to focus a bit on that..the feeling of power itself will allow you to do what you wish here. but for me, it just happens, I remain calm and in control..I do this by focusing on my awareness alone..and I usualy end up in a lucid dream or astral projecting..maybe also try body techniques , meditations to get your focus away from the body..so the body can just rest while you take control over the mind..
