Just wondering if anyone here has taken the astal travel course on gnosticweb.com? Well, there they teach something to remember dreams. (It might sound pretty hokey to some).. but upon awakening, you supposed to say the mantra RAOM GAOM.. either in your head, or out loud, (I'm sure most people prefer in their head).. like this raaaaaaoooooommmmmmm gaaaaaaaaooooooommmmmmm. At first I honestly thought it was ridiculous but decided, what the heck, and what do you know!! it works!! Sometimes even in the middle of the day I will start thinking raaaoomm gaaooomm and poof, images of my previous nights dreams will start appearing. I told my husband about it and he tried it, and it worked for him too..he was amazed..and he's mr. skeptic about everything!! Anyway. I just thought I would pass this on. If it works for just one person, then that's one more person helped!!

I've actually gotten this to work. It didn't work instantly, but it did work over time.

I tried to take that course 2 times last year and both times I got about half way of the course and my password would get screwed up and not allow me in to get the downloads. The people running it could never get it straighten out. I have no ideal what caused that, but I gave up.
The course is free, but the name is Mysticweb rather than gnosticweb.
I know Michael was taking the course. Did you get to finish it Michael?

Hi Letherea
Yeah you got that from mystic web the moment I read your title of the topic. The mantra is good the mantra is good. It works : ). It has in the past anyway.
Hello CC Yes I have finished the course. They have changed the whole website and made it even more complicated.

Glad it works for some;)) Yes it's true, the whole website has changed. And really not for the better. And it's gnosticweb now, not mysticweb anymore. The actual courses are on video now instead of text. Some might prefer it, but I still prefer the old style. But I'm still plugging away. I'm in the journey to enlightenment course. I'm not quite enlightened yet though,,hee hee:)

Heeheehee, at first I was like RAOM GAOM...and I couldn't stop giggleing and feeling silly. But the more research I do on these mantras, the more I find they resinate energy into our centres. I have tried it, but I said WANG GWANG! lol So I will try it again. hahaha. Thank you Letherea, for posting this!

I use this mantra for quite a long time now and it always helps, even when I wake up with a completely blank mind being sure that this time I won't be able to recall anything, after repeating this one eventually images start appearing in my mind.

Interesting....I've been it seems without memory of my dreams for sometime now. Even if I will myself to remember them it seems to cascade into fleeting images that bely any attempts to consciously visualize them.
Am I too tired or is it something else ?

usually it is lack of interest that will cause us not to recall our dreams, however I think some folks get into sleep patterns where the rem stage does not end in waking in the morning, so therefore, what happens is the rem stage(dreaming) will occur a few hours prior to waking..this makes it difficult to recall anything at all.. also some people just have to work a bit harder ,honestly sometimes I think it has to do with the way we think...yep as in patterns of our thoughts.and how much we really reflect within ourselves..and how often..but this does have an impact on the subconscious mind..because in introspection, basicly you are having a discussion or some type of communication with your sub/inner self/higher awareness..and this is a perfect way to not only grow inwardly, but your dreams will show themselves to you more and more.. but I think if anyone works at it a bit..I think this can be changed, and dream recall would just come natural... I think again it is the will within us to want to discover them and listen to them..
I just thought of another possiblity of lacking dream recall, I think some people have blocks or perhaps some kind of wall that is due from a childhood or some other fear/anxiety that will grow over the years if not let down..this can be the result of no dream recall..or hardly any.. but this is due to many things, and could be mental and emotinal detachment to themselves..which I seem to meet more and more of these folks everyday.. but even those that have suffered tragedies can breakthrough these walls and start to build a connection to the subconscious. for me I must say learning myself has gave me even more awareness and wisdom through my dreams and I try to teach others that we all have the ability

My whole life I've never had any problems recalling my dreams but I guess that's just me. During the last year I've been working even more to remember dreams and I've gotten to the point that there's never a time of waking and not being able to remember if I intend to remember. Even if I don't intend I normally will wake with memories, feelings, and visuals anyways. The problem that I have is that when I'm lying in bed remembering the dream intending to write it down I will often enter right back into the dream and wake later and then it's a bit harder to record the previous dream. For the last month or more I've stopped recording in my dream journal and just record notes from dreams and I notice that I don't get even as much dream recall because by writing down the dream you'll remember other parts as well but the up side is I've been having more Ld's by re-entering right back into the dream I'm remembering.
