Is it common to awaken during a dream, but not being able to open your eyes until the dream is over?

I often awake, but that is when I become lucid really. Like I become aware of my body. And I have experianced paralizing too. But I don't think it is common. I hate it most when I am 'going away' and I forget to breath, and BAM I get rushed. lol ! 100th post...sweet

I become aware of my self and I know the difference between reality and my dream, but the intense emotion of wanting to leave a dream happens whenever I am having a really bad dream. Trying to open my eyes isn't common for me, but the memory of my first time trying to open my eyes is very vivid to me.

Yeah thats normal..who wants to stay in a nightmare! But if you become aware in your bad dream, you can leave it, and go somewhere else. Fly up in the air! But your dreams are your subconscious, and are trying to tell you something.

I have changed dreams, but I haven't learned to control the transition between them or what occurs in them.
I have thought about dreams (my subconscious) teaching me, but I have a hard time figuring out what they mean...

The latest dream I've had is a bit too weird to post... anywhere. I'll be sure to post a dream journal when I have a dream I can actually explain with out shuddering.

Do as you like. When you will find the time to read over all those dreams which have been posted here already you will realize that there are also shuddering dream-posts, of course besides wonderful good-feel- and insight dreams. Here is the place for all of them. It can be an easement to write terrible dreams from the chest so to say, especially because those terrible situations or figueres mostly just only do represent our fear itself. Amazing also is that there often is shown a solution or a hint for freeing in the dream itself too. Im not a professional dream-interpreter or what lol, but truly I must say that I almost always can find such a helpful hint in dreams of others. In my own dreams I often dont see it, cause Im too overwhelmed and trapped in emotion, but so I also was helped many times by others to understand what my subconscious or Higher Self wanted to tell me and how it tried to help me with its `language of pictures and emotions`. And if there is really nothing one can see in it or answer to it, then the writing down itself often does help and clear up some things afterwards on its own. Just wanted to mention this, so you can feel absolutely free. lgn

Thank you nani, but my last dream isn't something I like to talk freely about. It was a bit... too "personal", if you know what I mean.

hahaha so now you know you just should have said "personal" instead of "weird" - so you could have avoided to be over-flooded by my "liberation-advices".. LOL lgn

I have had better dreams since then and only till today have I had enough memory of one of the two to write it down.
