You may have seen this in another thread but I decided to put it here as well.
This post was inspired by a post from Potential. I'll put a link to it later.
It basically takes the concept of the original WBTS (wake back to sleep technique) but adds a bit more. In the original concept you wake up after about 5 hours of sleep and stay up for an hour either reading, recording dreams, or getting up and doing something for about and hour and then go back to sleep. Doing this for some reason makes it easier to have lucid dreams after falling back to sleep.
In this advanced method instead of sleeping for 5 hours you sleep for about 3-4 hours then get up and record dreams if you remember any. Then get out of bed and take a shower and basically pretend and convince your physical body it's time to get up. Do some exercising that involves leaving the house (bike riding, walking, running,etc.). Eat breakfast (I like to eat out because it makes me feel like I'm staying up). Do some meditation and yoga (preferably outside but it doesn't really matter). Then read about dreaming or read from your dream journal for awhile. After about 3 hours has passed lay back down and go back to sleep using whatever technique works best for you to LD. I normally wait till I'm slipping further into falling to sleep and give my a suggestion to LD.
It's very easy to fall to sleep because your body is tired from only getting 3-4 hours of sleep plus from the excercising. The thing that happens for me when I do this is that my sleep is very conscious and it's very easy to gain lucidity. I've only done this for a few days now but with incredible results. Even if you can only do this a couple of times a week I highly suggest it. Plus it's very satisfying to get out early in the morning and exercise and meditating.
Post about your experiences with this technique if you try it. Plus this would work great for OBE induction as well but I'm better at LD'ing so I use it for that though I'm going to start using for OBE induction soon.
