Not every dream you have has a hidden meaning behind it, does it? Sometimes I dream really dumb stuff. For example, last night I dreamt that I had a pet goose. I brought him to the water and he didn't know how to swim. So in my dream I was trying to teach him to swim. Now that's just a silly dream and I have tons of them. Is there a hidden meaning or just a plain ole silly dream?

Hi croat! hmm, well I would say that 99.9% of my dreams have meaning, because they are silly and make no sense they usualy are the ones telling the most information that is going on around us/within us, but everyone is differant..now the subconscious will pick up things during the day that will lead to such silly dreams, but they hold many truths to them..so I try to pay attention to all of my dreams.. I would say teaching an animal to swim can say many things..but perhaps this is an actual person in your life or you yourself , are you learning anything new at this time or are you looking into learning/starting something new.. ya know it could be many things, this is only a guess.. water=emotions..perhaps the goose is symbolic to you/innerself..and the emotions.

I feel the same Ronni. Sometimes it's hard to find the meaning behind dreams so you have to take the dreams apart and look at each piece then put it back together to get the whole picture.

I think they all do have meanings to them. Sometimes they are deep subconscious meanings trying to teach or warn. Sometimes they tell you like it is and the meaning is exactly what they are telling you. I think the way to figure out which one it is, is to look into your life and put the dream into context based on what is going on. On occasion it will be full of metaphors. On others...if you constantly lose your keys and get frustrated, then maybe the dream about losing your keys and getting frustrated is just that.

I've had my share of really dumb dreams lately, but I do think there are still meanings within the dumbest of dreams.

lol goodboy haha, yeah me too, my dreams have been just boring lol but I have had a few insights with them, like one of them I recall being in my car and the wheel shaking to the side, I lost control for a second..perhaps I will loose control in my life soon, or sway off my path or something..lol

Ya I agree, all dreams have meanings. It's a way of getting information from your unconcious mind. Advice on things happening in your life, ect...

I agree, I think all our dreams have meaning, even the one that are not even understandable. I have had some dreams this year that I could not under stand anything, like it was in some foreign language or something.
Hehe Croat, maybe there is a situation in your life that you are being a "silly goose". Maybe some emotional thing since water represents the unconscious and the emotions.
