ld's and thought patterns

okay guys I put this in my journal, I just wanted to type it over here so you guys can get at it easily, uh, the interesting thing I wanted to address here is my thoughts and how I analyzed my actions here..which leads me to beleive I was in much more than just a lucid dream..take a look..



one word-extraordinary

took a nap today, hopeing to leave my bod, however I managed to land myself in a quit unique place in the inner levels, I know now high lucid dreams are astral projection..

okay at first again I was in my bed, It was dark outside, there were people around my house, strangers, they came in , I managed to get up and hide in my closet for a moment, than I was in a corner and stood very still hopeing they would not see me, I think they did, however they had my door open and I could see the light coming into my room, I had a blanket on me, the strange thing is I kept it on as I flown out the door, to outside..
as I was flying something happend I was flying very fast up towards the sky, I had a sudden fear, however I ignored it and pushed past it and flew even faster and higher, than I thought to myself "hmm, so I can skip levels of awareness and go strait through to the highest one by flying like this" I felt awesome..
I looked around me I beleive there were people flying around me,I visualized my blanket as a protective shield..it was magickal of course..nothing could touch me..
I landed to my background, and I was alone..
I was amazed right away to see my backyard transpired into a sort of magickal land, it had golden street lights that lit up beautiful carved side walks..and in front of me was a tv..I was sitting on the ground, my house is on a hill in reality as well in this dream state, I was clearly higher than all of the other houses in the city, I could see the sky perfectly, however the tv had the image of a universe on it, glowing , glittery golden planets and stars, wow it was so cool, than I realized it was the sky above me on the tv, so I looked up and I was completely in awe..I watched it for a bit to see it move, it breathed and moved on its own..this is not the first time I seen such beauty like this, however I was still amazed by it..
there were people around me, whom I beleive I created for my own enchantment..we decided to take a tour through a house next to mine..
stunning this house was to me because everything in it was golden..I swear everything, even the bugs I saw on a rug lol..
everthing sparkled..
we basicly went through this house just to look at the intricat things in it, this include appliances that could walk, like a blender lol, again it was golden, and beautiful..
so I was a bit afraid in this house, but my fear was overtaken with beauty..
this was indeed a fantasy land..
but see I can't recall everything, of course, however I knew that my awareness was at a level beyond ld's..
so Ive been waiting for this feeling of power,awareness and to see something unuasual..
so Im happy!

That sounds like a really cool LD/OBE Lilac. Sometimes it's not really the content for me but more of how I feel in or after the LD that determines my outlook on it. I'm getting to a weird stage of OBE'ing where for the fist time I'm actually becoming leary and almost afraid to leave my body. Yesterday I took a nap (I've been napping nearly everyday) and found myself in a dream that wasn't even formed yet then My awareness took me into sleep paralysis in which the vibrations were very strong but I told myself with lots of intent to not project. Normally I would want to but I've been getting freaked out because of freaky experiences so I actually told myself not to project. Today I became lucid during another nap and I was in my apartment (lots of Ld's where they've been starting in my room or apartment lately) and I quickly leave out the front door because I treat the LD more like and OBE because I'm just waiting for some entity to approach me. I fly outside working on my flying control but I'm still on the constant look out for any kind of negative being which In never used to worry about in my LD's but now my Ld's are beginning to all feel like OBE's.
Anyways I thought this maybe is kind of what you experienced except take out all the freaky negative stuff.

lol, hey derek..yeah I hear ya on the negs, but for some reason I am starting to realize it is only in the hypnogogic state(spelling) that I fear the most, and in fact I have been going over my obe's and ld's to find that most often I was afraid only in the inbetween/launching state..for some reason I feel the most in this state and hear the most as well..and the interesting thing here is most people have the most fear in this state, and it diminshes once we go "in" or "out" of the layers of consciousness..
so I am suggesting something crazy here..but please this is only from my observations that the inbetween state is actually the link to perhaps death itself..and that our highest awareness is in fact in this state..because once we choose and make an exit..things(thoughts) usually interupt us, or our bodies do with our attachment to them..
about your fear of obes, this happend to me as well, in fact the last few times I was ready to leave, I told myself I did not want to..however this happend over and over, so maybe we are creating these fears for hmm, lack of spirtual balance or something we fear that we know we must face sometime..Im not sure, right now I am working on defining astral projection for myself lol..and of course reaching/stretching boundaries of my own thoughts..so far it has been going well..
Im also putting together new theories and trying to come up with new ways of figuring things out such as obes and if perhaps they are not what we should be focusing on afterall but rather the state in between and ld's..so yep thats my plan lol

Interesting Lilac,
I agree that I'm the most freaked out while leaving the body due a lot to the blurred vision that happens right away plus dealing with negative beings, but like you said the further you go out away from the body or through the levels of consciousness the fear seems to subside. Plus I've been slipping back towards depression and negative thinking lately so I can see how this could be affecting my OBE's. Your're right about wanting to focus more on the state between dreams which i call the void or what's normally refered to as sleep paralysis. I've been actually focusing more on this state because I joined a group recently that its main tasks and focus is with visualizing and learning to learn how our visualizing works to the point to where we can go from awake right into an Ld at will. So far the group has been going good and I've learned a lot about how I visualize and different things that affect the way my visuals go like my breathing, thought process ect. Plus lately I've been very tired all the time and I always take a nap after work and I can slip right into sleep paralysis often with in 20 seconds when I'm really tired. It's like the body shuts down must faster then my mind. Lack of sleep I think is one of the easiest and best ways to go quickly into trance without lying in bed for an hour wondering why you can't slip under.
I think after I finish the group which still has many tasks left I think I'll bring some of the info here to share and maybe even try to do the tasks as a group here as well. It's very interesting but can be very challenging.

hmm, sounds good derek, I know for sure that for me that is where my focus lay..and so far its been quit easy for me to get there and not have to leave my body, I think for me I tend to go strait into the ld's, that seem to capture exactly what I need or am looking for at the time..I plan on doing more studys to see what I come up with..I think it can be difficult to arrive at conclusions with obes/ld's because everyone is so differant and we are all experiencing them in differant ways..
but an indepth study with focus could not hurt thats for sure.
