Login to SpellingCow: (why?) Login: Pass: -or- hi.i just had a weird experience five minutes ago. i was sleeping but all of a sudden i was in a dream,i think i was in my grandmother's old shop ,which she shared with my mother before they got mad at each other, anyway i could see my basketball ball,my soccer ball etc i was sitting on the floor, and the floor was full of animals a cat,a wild animal very small similar to a i don't remember it's name in English,it's that animal that uses an disgusting smell as a weapon,so i was there playing with the animals, when all of a sudden a woman i don't think i saw her face very well gets near me,and i think" this is a dream" i think i also tought" I'm going to leave my body " all of a sudden my field of vision(i was with my eyes closed) changes from a dream to,you know when you close you're eyes all you see is black, well instead of black i was seeing extreme white my body was shaking in a medium level,it could be from the cold, but damn i was inside of allot of bed clothe ;D and this was a weird shaking i think my arms and chest shaken the most,i also heard a faint rushing(?) noise in my Right ear,it's funny,i wasn't thinking about anything when i was shaking but then i taught "I'm going to leave my body" something like that, the details are getting clouded and i think i payed attention to the weird shaking incident all of a sudden it stopped and my vision went back to black. was this a lucid dream?

not sure about this darlin, I mean it sounds like you altered your awareness, or was in the hypnogogic state, inbetween sleep and awake..hmm, this doesn't sound like a dream though..you may be creating these things to happen due to the fact you are reading so much about astral projection..

sweety usually when you leave your body you will know, also it is hard to detach from your subconscious(dreams) ir order to fully have an obe..to me this is you trying to leave your body in a dream which is actually good, because your awareness is growing..

I've never done it, but my thought (my opinion) is that maybe you'll have an easier time astral projecting if you relax and not think about it too much. I'm not trying to be discouraging or offend you so please don't take it that way, but it just seems that when someone wants something to happen (whether it is ap or something else) then just stepping back from it my help. Good luck and keep us up to date with what happens!

Hey Leannain It sounds like you were in sleep paralysis to me. Maybe you were experiencing the astral vibrations and I've read people often hear noises like wind during this as well. Did the shaking feel sort of like energy rushing through out your body. I've experienced sleep paralysis a lot and this is where I normally project from so if that is what you were experiencing then you are very close to projecting. The next step is to leave the body. Andid wrote: I think when it comes to OBE'ing there are so many factors to success. For me It took awhile of working at it and over time the more and more I do it the easier and more natural it comes. I feel for beginners though that You have to have great intent to want to do it but also go about it in a relaxed manner. Think about OBE'ing often to drive it into your sub-conscious and think about it and how you're going to leave your body (what technique you want to try, a plan of action) right before sleep but then let your mind go bland or think freely and let yourself fall to sleep. Don't force it. By doing this you can slip faster into trance or sleep and and then your sub-conscious mind will remember while asleep or in trance and you'll gain awareness while in sleep paralysis ready to project. Like I said though the actual projection is a different matter but to get to the launching pad should be your first goal then worry about projecting. You should still have a plan of how you plan to leave your body from sleep paralysis but getting to the state of awareness to project from is the first step. I remember my first OBE's were from sleep paralysis after losing visuals during a lucid dream and ending up back in body and then I projected. I'm not sure if you lucid dream yet (I haven't read any of your experiences) but lucid dreams are the easiest way to OBE from so if you're not very experienced with lucid dreaming then I highly suggest working with that more before attempting OBE's. Again I don't know your level or where you're at so hopefully this helps.

Sounds like the astral vibrations to me and closer to projecting. Like Ronni said you'll know when you project because you'll feel it. When I first began feeling the vibrations back when I was a rookie lucid dreamer I didn't know what they were so I never learned to project till I started reading about OBE'ing and found out I had been experiencing these vibrations. Now I can actually control the intensity of them through pure intent.

Login to SpellingCow: (why?) Login: Pass: -or- ,when all of a sudden a woman i don't think i saw her face very well gets near me,and i think" this is a dream" i think i also tought" I'm going to leave my body " all of a sudden my field of vision(i was with my eyes closed) changes from a dream to,you know when you close you're eyes all you see is black, well instead of black i was seeing extreme white my body was shaking in a medium level,it could be from the cold, but damn i was inside of allot of bed clothe ;D and this was a weird shaking i think my arms and chest shaken the most,i also heard a faint rushing(?) noise in my Right ear,it's funny,i wasn't thinking about anything when i was shaking but then i taught "I'm going to leave my body" something like that, the details are getting clouded and i think i payed attention to the weird shaking incident all of a sudden it stopped and my vision went back to black. was this a lucid dream? When you came to the point in your dream where you became aware you were dreaming, the dream became a lucid dream. A lucid dream is a dream where you realize while you are dreaming that you are experiencing a dream. I would say that because of the vibes and the sound in your ear that you almost projected...maybe partially, but when your mind went back to the awareness of the vibe, it stoped the process from completing. You did right by mentally thinking about leaving your body at that time, but instead of thinking "I am going to leave my body" change that to "I am out of body." Leave out the "going to" or you will be forever going to but never getting there. Do try to have a plan for once your out. You have to think in present tense , not future at all times are you will not go anywhere. Think I am this or I am that, I am at(name what ever place you want to project to). Advoid future tense words such as I am going, I will, I want, etc. You are on the right track and you will experience projection. Happy traveling.
