In most of the dreams I've been having lately, it is as if I am "sleepy" in my dreams and it hinders my ability to go lucid. I've been attempting to go lucid in many of my dreams, even tried to obe once (I was too scared, different topic...), but every time I close my eyes in my dreams to rest my eyes I snap out of being lucid. Does anyone have any suggestions? - I've actually thought that maybe getting more sleep, by going to sleep earlier might help.

I have the same problem when I get out of my routine of going to bed earlier on the weekdays, to going to bed late and getting up late on the weekends.
It happens especially Sunday and Monday nights. I have dreams where I'm laying down and too tired to get up and do what I need to do. Even in the dream, my body feels like it weighs a ton.
What helps, besides sticking to a bedtime routine of course, is getting regular excersize. It rejuvenates the body. Also, avoid caffeine and heavy meals at night.
Also, you may have some unresolved emotional issues that are haunting you in your dreams, draining your energy. I also have this problem. I tell myself that I will resolve the issue during the day when I'm more alert.
You may also need to take a little break from trying to go lucid. As for lucid dreaming, for me, it occurs naturally on its own. Your body in the tired state in the dreams may be telling you that you need to shut down and let nature take its course. Then try it again when your energy comes back.
Hope these suggestions help!

I will have to agree with Mandala. Trying too hard to do something can be very draining. Get some proper rest and the other will come when it's time and when your body is rested. Tell yourself before you go to bed that things will be resolved when you are awake and sleep time is for rest not for problem solving. Hope things work out and hope this helps.
