In light of Michaels thread, A big Lucid dream question, it has inspired me to submit a poll, and just see how many of you whether you are in a normal dream, Lucid, meditation or OBE'ing, How many of you can see or have seen your Body? Have you seen yourself at all? Or are you a shape shifter....and take shape and form of others .....(human and or animal bodies)? Please explain your vote as we are all intrigued and nosey DB

Well I guess you know what my vote was DB. Now just tell me how nosy are you? My answers depend on how many oatmeal cookies you have as to how much I’ll tell.
Ok in astral projections and RV I am a shape shifter and in OBE’s I hold a human form, not that it is human but have all the senses of a human and more. When RV’ing I would be more like a shadow being, totally 2 dimensional and it’s hard to gain a self-perspective when everything is on the same plane. Or another way of doing this is going orbital, and when doing this one can be seen as a bluish purple orb. Again it’s almost impossible to perceive yourself, but others can.
In the astral projection I can see my body but it is spectral and very ghostly in form and action. Everything is fluid and to me much like being in water. It would as this is as emotional state and within the body element of water. In lucid dreams and OBE’s most definitely as to seeing the body. In lucid dream I don’t ever remember looking in a mirror to see what I look like but I do see my body as I normally do. It’s hard to pick up a cup of coffee without an arm, and when being chased by the blue meanies, you got to have legs to run. I also fly in LD but usually I take off running first.
In this type of OBE that happens I’m not sure what to say except that I do see my form but it is translucent.

Though I can mostly choose what I look like, or what shape I take on.....most of the time I am a blue translucent being with multiple large "wings". As far as features are concerned there are not many....-BEZ

I've never OBE and I don't control lucidity when it happens. So, in my dreams, if I do see myself (as an observer in the dream,) I don't look exactly like me--I may be a child or a female that looks quite different but I know it's me. So I picked the last option.

I've seen my self as a blue light form in the astral and I have seen my HS when looking in a mirror in the astral and I have aslo looked back and saw my physical laying there asleep. I'm also like the others and have seen my self as various characters in lucid dreams and knew it was me being that character. So I am going to vote yes... for it's me I'm seeing no matter what form I'm in. ;D

I go into a million different perspectives when I dream. Sometimes I am in first person, others I am watching myself go about my dream in third person. There's a great deal of times in my dreams that I am someone else even though I know its me. I don't understand it. Can anyone explain that to me?

I see myself, in my dreams, the same way as mostlyharmless does.
Often I am in third person with different perspectives. Also, I sometimes look through my eyes at normal height and I have peered in first person at different heights. Whenever my perspective through my eyes is at an abnormal height I am usually short and struggling for a higher view.
