I girlfriend of mines husband has a recurring dream and it bothers him.
He dreams his wife is cheating on him with a guy names Shawn who lives 2 houses down. not only is she cheating but in the bed while he is there. Shawn does not penetrate all the way because she complains of a stomach ache.
OK, in real life neither of them know of a Shawn and she would not cheat on her husband. She is 6 months pregnant right now too. Any help would sure be appreciated, I am not good at dream interpretation. Thanks all!

Do they have other children? If so, Shawn could be the name of one of the child's friends. Does the child's friend have a disability of some kind?
Which leads me to the other point. The strange man having sex with his wife could mean the husband fears an "invader" such as autisim, mental retardation, or some kind of condition that the unborn child could have. The strange man represents something unnatural coming into the unborn child.
Is there a particular disease or inherited condition in his family history?

They have two other children. One is not his biologically and that child does have problems. I dont know if the dad has history or not. I did learn later on that she used to work with a guy named Shane. The way I looked at this was that the husband was putting a name to his fears as this is someone he does not like. They are very young and now have a third child on the way. The having sex seems to me a manifestation of intrusion, which this child is. It was not a planned child she was told she couldnt have any more kids. So I believe he is worrying in his sleep and this is how it is coming out. What do you think?

You are probably correct. You know the couple and if he feels a third child would be a burden, then the dream fits. Also, since one child is not his biologically, maybe he does have subconscious fears that this one on the way may not be his and worries about it having a disability. She may not have cheated on him, but maybe he thinks otherwise.

Thanks Mandala for your input. I know for a fact that he knows its his child I don't think that is a worry. The child that is not his was from before they even met but he accepts it as his. So I think I can safely tell him to try to stop worrying. As if that is possible, raising a child is difficult enough let alone an unexpected one.

I have seen this many times, to be a true message, delived from the depths of our subconscious, that is connected to 'our' mate's. Our dreamer can find this information quite easily, what is even easier is to disregard it as a fear, and ignore as a possiblilty. If it is not a factual event, that has happened, it is one that can happen, and so is showing warning. It is a good idea to 'validate' the relationship, lay to rest any fears by building trust, and overcoming insecurities. Insecurity is a strong energy, that can manifest fears, and surely be projected to others. It can lead to fears manifesting, and cause others to view this insecurity. Self-knowledge, as to where these fears and insecurities come from, is crucial work that I recommend.
Interesting that the 'offense' occured right in front of him.......

So I believe he is worrying in his sleep and this is how it is coming out. What do you think? Sometimes dreams are rather simple - images of the language of the mind. I think you are right.

Thanks Daphne, I have talked to others on other boards and they seem to agree with me. Once I talked to him and her together, he was nodding his head in agreement the whole time. He said he was worried but didn't realize it would come out in his dreams. I think things will be better now. What was surprising that I found out later was he asked his wife if she would ask me to interpret his dream. I didn't know he had that kind of faith in me.

Good for him that he had faith in you, Ladybleu!! heh..
At some level I'm sure he understood his own dream. Sometimes it is difficult to face our fears and worries - easier when someone else shows us that it's ok. From there, he (and his wife) can now approach the coming changes in their life openly and with understanding.

Shawn isn't a "real" person you said that yourself, right? I looked up its root meaning......can you say YAHWEH? Changes the outlook on his dream just a little huh?

I had a dream that I was shopping for hot dogs in the nude and this man came up to me and said he knew me. I did'nt realize I was naked until he came up to me and I saw him. I told him he must have me confused with someone else and he said I know you. Well I noticed the music in the store and it was the Doors and the cash registers were the old metal kind!! I freaked out and thought I was dead!! He told me I was'nt dead, but he did know me! Jim morrison died when I was 3 years old!!! I woke up sweating! I've never forgotten that dream. O.K.,so no one laugh k??!! LOL
