Thought
A freshman at Eagle Rock Junior High won first prize at the Greater Idaho Falls Science Fair on January 26. He was attempting to show how conditioned we have become to the alarmists practicing junk science and spreading fear of everything in our environment.
In his project he urged people to sign a petition demanding strict control or total elimination of the chemical "dihydrogen monoxide." And for plenty of good reasons, since it can:
1. cause excessive sweating and vomiting 2. it is a major component in acid rain 3. it can cause severe burns in its gaseous state 4. accidental inhalation can kill you 5. it contributes to erosion 6. it decreases effectiveness of automobile brakes 7. it has been found in tumors of terminal cancer patients
He asked 150 people if they supported a ban of the chemical.
One hundred forty-three said yes, six were undecided, and only one knew that the chemical was , , , ,
Water! The title of his prize winning project was, "How Gullible Are We?"
Well the conclusion is obvious.

Merry, Merry Christmas to everyone!!! I know happy holidays is the politacally correct thing to say these days but I still say Merry Christmas!!!!!!!!!! Look what my kids left for Santa. My fifteen yr. old doesn't believe in him anymore, obviously. Her brother just turned 4 on the 20th. Great age for Santa. He totally believes and we all put on a good show for him. It's great. My son just tried eggnog yesterday for the first time in his life. He loves it and wanted to leave some for Santa.

How are you all liking the shout box here? I put one up on my board and it seems like I'm getting a lot of trolls posting on it. Is that happening here at all?

I think that happens a lot in the summer. Who wants to post on the computer when you can be outside. I'm sad that summer is ending and cooler weather is coming. I'm going to miss my pool.

My prayers are with you. Stay safe. I couldn't believe it when I heard on the news yesterday that Rita is a category 5. Yikes.
