The text on the parchment? Yeah I can read it no problem the links show up as white though and that's a bit hard to read.

Hmm try #cd853f...sometimes colors appear differently on different backgrounds. If that isn't what you are looking for I'll see if I can find something else.

I love the icons. However either the parchment or the text needs to be darker. The words at the bottom of the site blend in too much as well as the words showing you where you are within the site (aka breadcrumbs). Also the dark red may be a little too dark for some. If you do change it maybe just one shade lighter.
I can't wait to see what else you have come up with. If you need any help let me know.
How about the text (not the post text) but the text that shows up on the parchment...in a saddle brown (#8b4513) or sienna (#a0522d)?

I like it...Heh I was working on something myself using parchment. I'll have to keep looking around and whatnot to see how it all works together.

Welcome Fae glad to see you found the forum.
Lilac is absolutely right. Focus loving energy and light his way with a photo. Just remember when doing so not to think negatively. When we "lose" loved ones we don't really lose them at all...just their physical body, the soul lives on.
I too will send my prayers and energy his way.

Happy Thanksgiving all.
We had a wonderful day with lots of great food and company. My husband and I spent th day with my mom and her husband, my brother and his family, and my sister. It was a real pleasant day, we don't all get together like that often so it was nice.
I was/am thankful for a loving family and opportunity to spend the day with them and loving friends (online and offline) and all the love I can give.

I too agree. Excercise (any kind) keeps us in harmony with our body and soul. It helps to teach discipline (in that by excercising we train our body and mind), responsibility (in that you are responsible for your own body), commitment (in that regular exercise becomes a part of you) and peace (in that excercising helps to relax your body and mind, which in turn makes you more peaceful).

Yay for one year anniversary. It's amazing how time flies sometimes. You've done a great job here.

Ok gotcha. I do like the overall "feel" to that site design.
Sorry I've been out for a few days...my internet has been acting up off and on (more off than on) and then my computer messed up. I think everything is back under control now. I'll see what I can do with the design an intergrating the colors you like. I like the fall/autumn colors too. They are so rich and vibrant.
I don't know how long it will take with the holiday and various other things going on. But I will work on it as much as I can.

Hmmm I think something that resembles dreamy and mystical will look good. I'll play around with a few things to see if you like any of my ideas. Might take a few days though, depends on my creativity.

That wonderful news about your son. Wow 153 that's amazing.
I too have been feeling extremely tired and just run down lately. Being sick doesn't help matters much either. I don't have a fever, yet, but I am slowly getting worse it seems no matter what I do. Of course I have been stuborn and forced myself to stay up and active during the day. I don't know why but when I get sick I feel guilty for staying in bed.
I hope we all get better soon.

I signed the petition. And I will pass it along to others that I think would share our concern.

Happy Halloween everyone.
My husband and I got dressed up in medieval (everything we wear is handmade, from his chainmaille, shield and horn tankard to my dress and headpiece) and handed out candy to all the trick or treaters. We had 72 kids this year. That's about 10 less than last year (half of the unaccounted for kids are related to us lol).
Anyway, I'm off to do some meditating for Samhain.

Thank you all for the lovely comments. She does have big kids and they are still big. Her two year old looks and acts like he should be three and the one year old looks like she could be two. You can tell they are fed well lol. The little girls nicknames are bear and buda. Sometimes I wish I had a baby but I know I can't afford that right now. I told my brother I was going to take Sydney home with me...he said sure as long as you bring her back. That just killed all the fun in it, plus I think as soon as I got one of my headaches I wouldn't mind giving her back.
I have another nephew and niece on my husbands side of the family too, Varick (nephew, 6 years) and Reanna (niece, 4 years). They live in Colorado so that is a bit far from us here in Virginia. We see them maybe once a year around Christmas time.
We (my husband and I) are very blessed to have such wonderful families. There is no added in-law stresses either. Of course there are times when his mom irritates me but I think that's because we have lived with her for so long and habits tend to bother me. I don't let it get to me though I'm just grateful she accepts us staying here.

Yesterday at 9:09 am my sister-in-law had her third baby. It was a girl and her name is Kaley Michelle Love. She is so adorable and tiny compared to the other two she had. Of course this one came 2 weeks early while the other two was at least 2 weeks late.
There has been much excitement around and we are all so proud and happy. Her first baby was a boy (Wayne Edward Love now 2 years old) the second was a girl (Sydney Ann Love now 1 year). Wayne weighed 9 lbs when he was born and Sydney weighed 10, Kaley weighs 8 lbs.
Right now I'm watching the other two while they are in the hospital. She could come home today but I think she is going to stay a little longer to make sure she heals before coming home to two clingy kids.
