I agree with alot that has already been said. I don't use rituals as a rule but if I do it's because I need extra focus, they help keep me on task. No long drawn out rituals either, my patience is not the greatest. but mostly just cleansing my mind before a spell is enough to get the job done.

I do believe you can have passing through familiars or helpers. I don't see why not.

I don't know what my familiar would be if I chose one or a totem so to speak. I have never dreamed of an animal/favorite at all. I'm sure this will come to me when the time is right but nothing has so far.

I agree with you totally bezjak, that's why I said what I did. If my cat won't stick around thats just the way it is. I know familiars are their own entities, we cannot control them nor should we ever try. I think that is why I was so surprised when it was mentioned that he may be my familiar, I didn't even think about it being the case.

I just found this thread also, it's strange I should find it today as I just posted about my cat maybe helping me with my dreams, seems when he sleeps with me my dreams are the vivid easy to remember type, when he is away from me the dreams are what I call entertainment dreams. I have posted the whole thing in the dream journal and the dreamers guild. I am going to see if he will stick around while I do a small spell and see what happens.
Everyone has great input!

And a chapter for rituals. And be sure to make a disclaimer kinda about that anything in the BOS is not a guarantee.

make that the main board and sub boards can be like spells/rituals, then healing stuff like stones and such like that. make the sub boards like chapters

Casting a Circle (beginners)
Ingredients: You can use your athame, wand, finger, etc.
Setting: A circle is created with energy. Make sure you know where the boundaries will be beforehand and have everything that you're gong to use inside the area, because you don't want to have to leave it after you have cast your circle. It can be inside or outside, Day or night. Whenever you need it.
Clear your mind. Visualize the energy of nature and the universe mixing with your own (building up inside) you can visualize a cone of blue fire funneling through the top of your head or simply see a ball glowing a bright purple. I like to use white, use whatever is comfortable.
Now, pick a quarter at which to start. some pick North, some start with East.Point your athame or finger etc, towards the ground and see the energy flowing out. Begin to walk clockwise and walk the circumference of the circle. While doing this be sure to imagine a circle forming. Don't see it as a circle on the ground, instead as a sphere with you inside. Half of it is above the ground. You are walking on a plane through the diameter and the other half is below the ground. The Circle is Cast.
If you want to say a spell with it:
By the earth that is her body, and by the air that is her breath, and by the fire of her bright spirit, and by the living waters of her womb, the circle is cast.
