I feel this is a good time for this thread, Since we are having a re-run of the art of dreaming, and since DJ and CC feel so strongly about energy. I am far from an energy guru (i want to be though) but i do feel that with my last few experiances and a nice repitoire of meditations and even failures to go off of im ready to fill a thread like this in for days. So sit back hold on and enjoy. Some meditations will be repetition only for the sake of order, and ease of finding. when i can i will just add the link to another thread. My last experiance is a good place to start. I had a slight displacement of my assemblage point. It started while i had a steady but not crazy amount of energy going. i was gazing into a woods and this condo on top of a hill caught my attention. As i looked at the condos i fealt all funny and so i did a reality check with the condos. As i looked away and than back again and as i did gaze again at the condos i started to feel faint. I could feel my energy being pulled away from the usual centered position and my site began to fade. As this happened a sudden massive flow of energy from the lower self surged me back into the moment. I knew that if i had been experianced enough to stay focussed after the wave of energy i woud have been surprised when i opened my eyes. I have never had any sort of waking dream other than ummm outside influences and daydreams. So it was an amazing feeling and did indeed remind me of my days with acid. it was almost like a flash back but so much more intense. ARE people able to leave while they are awake? Maybe thats my problem i have never experianced dream except while sleeping so maybe thats why the surge.

The first and most important thing too know about energy is breathing. swamij.com/diaphragmatic-breathing.htm In reality if i had known about this i would have practiced breathing before i ever did anything else. This is the exact mothod of breathing taught while i was in martial arts to open up your ki techniques. And also taught in the special forces when going fo long periods under water. The entire web site is phenominal but if you do yoursefl any favors regarding mysticism. LEARN TO BREATHE. Not doing so only slows you down and in the long run will bog you down more than you can ever imagine. Up to and including physical and mental problems from not breathing correctly your entire life.

Wow, Osiris, you have pretty amazing experiences. I don't have anything that exciting to share. I'll follow your lead about learning to breathe, although the description seems a little complicated. How can you breathe without your shoulders moving? I do mind my breathing when I do yoga, and deepening my breath a bit is a quick way to calm myself down too.

The key is just to make sure you start off doing it correctly even if it is a few minutes a day. You have to use your diaphragm and no stomach and very little chest. Your chest should only move on inhale. Just enough that your ribs spread out some. Read it a couple of times and practice until its second nature for you. There are of course other breathing methods used for meditation like holding the breath to a count on the inhale and exhale. But for now just breath like it says in the link and apply other techniques later. LOL trust me if i could undo some of those experiances to make my dreaming a little better i would. But history is exactly that and i will never dwell on what could have been. Dont worry about your shoulders Lena it will come with a little practice. Remember whatever muscular movement you have while breathing can be changed it all about how long you have been doing it one way.

I've been working with the diaphragm breathing now for maybe a week and it truly is powerful. I notice just in a few breaths a drop further into relaxation or trance. Even more powerful than the deep breathing that I normally do. Right away it can be a little difficult but soon you'll be able to do this without you're stomach or chest moving at all or at least very minimal. I found at first that it seemed sort of draining breathing like this but the more I do it the easier and more relaxing it is. I use it know also If I'm having a hard time falling to sleep. Helps put me out quicker.
Yes for sure. The further you progress along with all of this the closer you'll be able to shift your AP at will and do things that would normally seem "impossible". LD's and OBE's are merely the practice grounds for all this. I'm not saying this exactly from experience but I know in my heart that with impeccable intent and energy you'll be able to "reality jump" where ever you please.

The breathing you describe, I have always practiced this, it started when i first learnt how to meditate... I find when i am relaxed I naturally go into this breathing mode.. And when stressed i slow down practice this breathing and viola I am relaxed again.... Pretty powerful stuff. Eventually you will breath like this naturally all the time without consciously trying.. I find with this type of breathing it keeps you connected to whatever you Practice.. for me it keeps me spiritually Connected, Thinking straight, and very Calm... Mind ask My husband and he will say I need to practice it a lot more LOL PS;... I also found when practicing breathing like this I noticed where i found a jerk in breath , it was normally around a chakra area that needed Cleansing and re-spinning..... Once I cleansed and got the chakra spinning nicely the breathing flowed better..

I have just a bit more about breathing and than will move on. A point between a butterfly being born and a moth dying. A space where the moon is not waxing nor is it waning. The ‘no time’ between inhaling and exhaling. A place where choices of realities are, and a place where worlds are assembled. This is the Assemblage Point. A point where cultures are born and children are set forth. Go there and meet the gods with their shells giving birth to the darkness and the light. Ok my point in this is the breathing i cannot stress how important the point between breathes is. But i think the above explains it. Dont pause to get the "point" just breath normal. But focus on that point. Its a moment of clarity a moment of perfect meditation.

I have a book on breathing techniques, I should read it!lol I sometimes focus on my breathing in order to fall asleep..I have told many people this tehnique and it has worked for them as well.It really does help me to relax.

Once you breath right you will find many differant breathing techniques to work with. One clear and simple one is to tune into your heart beat and breath in and out until you find the rythum (spelling) between breaths and your heart. Ok time to move on. After breathing correctly you will see that you can use thos any time (or all the time) to bring your focus and attention back to the here and now. Rid yourself of daily stresses. They are a waste of energy and can be easily overcome by forced contemplation. now for the next area and the last boring one before we get to the heart of the topic. Although i must admit if you breath good your in the heart already. Diet, i had many issues and still do splurge in this area often. I love food but to open yourself to larger amounts of energy and to make yourself more sensitive a good diet id very important. Some would say you must not eat meat. This is an on going argument that meat hinders astral travel. Well for energy i have found the only hinderance is eating anything that you order by number. If your getting a number five for lunch or dinner than that needs to change. A good diet and good workout are important to keep joints lubricated and energy flowing good. Anything "fast" is always a bad idea unless its a salad. Ok so the breathing, the diet and the continued need to exercise and or workout regularly. Next we will move onto meditations, and energy building and also recovery of spirit and energy thats lost from trauma or other critical moments in life. To heal yourself and others makes you much more sensitive and much more intune with energy and awareness of energy. More later.

Most basic and primal energy i have found i can pull directly from the earth. I rarely even use a meditation fotr this. Its just a matter of tuning into the primal nature or the "chaos" of this planet. The more intune you are to nature and the wild the easier this is. Simply breath in the earths energy. If you need to be in a place with many trees or a park or whatever. But after a while even your urban dwellers that never see the woods can use this. Picture any and all energy of the world. The oceans the trees the animals and us. It is all a shared cycle. Now visualize (if need be) all the energy used to create and keep all these things healthy. Its there just breath it all in and as you exhale exhale toxins, fumes, any negative energies. continue to practice this daily until you can physically feel the energy flow from the earth and from above into you. Some of you already do this im sure and may not even be aware of it. Actually we all do this but being aware of it and actually feeling it as a physical sensation makes it so you can direct this vital energy anywhere it is needed. If you have problems finding the physical sensation of our shared earth you need to work with you lower three chakra more and also this is a good point to fast. More later.

Yes we (our physical body) is just part of this world. So manipulation of energy and lower chakra work come easy when tuned to the planet. Your lower self as some would say. Thanks Nani.
The same applies to the upper or higher self. Tune yourself to the points of light from the stars and the sun and the moon. Any astral energies can be focused along with the earth energies. again this is normal but the feel of the energies as you breath and the focus of these two energies is very powerful. Yet the simplest to work with. Practice the physical feel of both entering you and leaving or going where needed. Once you have a sensation from the breathing and these energies you are well on the way to focusing these for healing or other purposes. Ok next we will apply this energy to the chakra and kundalini work.

Thanks, Our energies have to be the most powerful thing ive ever encountered. Just the energy of one human being is so crazy i cannot even comprehend. You can use other peoples energy also. Just dont Vamp the energy. As you continue to be outside the box and have an aura of authority and aura of self control. You realize that you can feed off energy to an expent that its too much to handle. More energy than kundalini more than even the sun has to give. The human is by far superior to any of these. Lets just look at ourself and than we can apply this to every human and in most cases every living thing. We have past lives and alternate "bodies" that reside in the other realms of existence. These realms are not so far away they reside here and now. A slight movement of the assemblage point will verify this. All these have dormant energy that can be used. We not only "feed" off of the food we eat we feed off of the sun the moon the stars we can share the energy of nearly everything. Now multiply that by how many lives we have lived and by how many alternat live that exist right here right now. Not to mention the sources of energy change from plane to plane. There are differant suns and differant foods and differant ocean currants in places we just have to visit. Learning to dream is important for energy It allows us to see energy and allows us to realize the potential that we have. The pheonix has seen this and so we must as well.
