Hello everyone, I have known about this website for a while but never had a reason to join until recently and then I couldn't remember what the site was but finally here I am I have recently become interested in Wicca and have tried to find as much info as I can about everything as I know you can never learn enough and besides just reading the books I know it helps to talk to others who are already experienced in such matters. So, I decided to stop by and stay a while About me, hmmmm. Some of you will know me from other places, though I prefer to remain as anonymous as possible. I am a 37 year old male(for those who haven't looked at the profile ;D) and for the most part of my life I have never been a religious person because I was always turned off by 'mainstream religion' and then one day at the bookstore I happened to pass by the new age section, glanced at a book about Wicca, took it home and read it and was hooked. The beliefs are always something I have felt in my soul I just never knew what to call them. I also don't consider myself a 'strict wiccan' as maybe those who follow the path of Gardner may consider themselves. I consider myself eclectic and follow my own path and traditions though I believe the core beliefs themselves. I look forward to learning as much as I can here and maybe in return can contribute a little something myself. Look forward to chatting with you all, merry meet and blessed be

Hello silvermoonwolf, I too don't trust mainstream religion. It has always turned me off. I have yet to find a religion that feels right. i have my beliefs. I hve to learn more about the different religions to see if any of them fit with what I believe. I am trying to learn as much as I can. There is a lot of info on this site and lots of friendly people. So welcome and hope you enjoy.

Belated welcome, Silver MoonWolf. Some Wiccan authors are really fantastic, and that's partly where my search for spirituality started too. I didn't have the heart for all the rituals though, especially long elaborate ones. Wicca is also but one pagan tradition, which led me to explore more of my roots, slavic paganism. Beliefs that I enjoy are male and female polarity, reverence for Mother Earth and all nature, and life affirming joy.

Thank you Lena! I haven't exactly studied a lot of the other pagan religions but from what I have read so far I think all the core beliefs in most pagan religions tend to be the same. Belief in God/Godess/Spirit and a reverence for nature and the things it provides. Just slightly different rituals and minor beliefs I think.

Welcome Silver Moonwolf! I was attracted to this site because of the wealth of info and the very nice people. I too don't trust organized religion, was raised Catholic and got out as soon as I could. I have been looking into my heritage and have been using all three, so like me my eclectic look at things is diverse. Hope you stay and join us in our learning.

Hey! I've been a part of this site for about 2-3 months now, I went through it a little bit, but then I started getting a lot of homework from school so I forgot about it. I remembered today about it as I talked to my roommate about dreaming. So, to actually get started about my introduction... I've always been attracted to nature, especially herbs. I was raised Catholic, and I still believe a great deal of it, but I don't believe religion should be that strict, but of course because humans are fallible, they are obviously going to screw something as amazing as religion up. When I first realized what Wicca was, I became immediately attracted to it. The whole focus on mother nature, the threefold law, herbs and all about life cycles and respecting everything of the Earth is amazing and I agree with it. I don't like being classified as either, but I infuse both in my beliefs. I discovered and started reading about Wicca and the metaphysical in grade school. I was drawn to it. I believe in witchcraft as long as your heart is involved and in the threefold law. I am really drawn to the herbal part of Wicca and mainly focus on that. I am huge sceptic when it comes to spirits/ghosts. It's not that I don't believe, but I am highly doubtful of it. Yes I get freaked when my friends and I go to abandoned places like schools and such, and I don't think I could ever have the courage to enter an old, abandoned asylum or prison. I read up on it a lot and I am really interested in it, but I think I have more of a WANT to believe, rather than actually believing. My main focus for this website and what I would love to find out more about, are dreams. I am a very powerful dreamer and I remember a lot of my dreams. They are very strange and very realistic. I try to write them all down, but I have trouble in keeping that up....lol...but anyway. I want to understand what my dreams mean and I want to know their purpose, whether they foretell the future, they are your brain sorting out your subconsious, letting things out that only your subconsious knows, or is it pure entertainment for your mind. In high school, I would have flashes of a few minutes of a dream. I knew where I was, though it wasn't familiar to me in real life, and I knew which person was me, and I knew who I was with, even though they weren't people I knew in real life and their faces are blurry in my memory. When I hit college, I finally understood what dejavous meant (previously I never understood it and didn't really believe people when they tried to explain it to me.) Those flashes I had in my dreams all throughout high school are happening and have been happening to me as soon as I started college. Those faces became clear and they are people that I've just met when I went to school and have never seen them before. and I felt a dejavous experience. It's so weird. I love dreaming, and every time I have to go to sleep, I wish for dreams to come. I can't get enough of them and I want to know what they mean! I really want to get my dreams interpreted. I hope someday there's a machine that can record in an actual visual way what people are dreaming...lol so yea...thats why I'm here.

Hello..I am Alexandra and I am 29 years old. I was turned onto this forum, because I am very proficient in lucid dreaming, and I was hoping to find others of like mind. I experience most of my past life recollections through dreaming....I tend to wake up in hot sweats from the real bad memories, or laughing or crying. Also, recently I have found out that I can do aura healings..chakra cleansing, etc. I can place my hands above the body, and can tell which chakra is unbalanced, and what color it currently is. Can anyone else here do this? I am looking forward to meeting everyone.

Thank you for the wonderful welcome.
I already feel much better just reading other's experiences and dreams. My best friend can only understand me so much because she is limited when it comes to dream work. I can definitly share my experiences, as well as learn from others.
