I think that word of mouth is usually the best way to promote any site, however providing a link in signatures is a great way also..

I have already begun "spreading the word" around where I live. I think this site rocks and just want everyone to visit it. But I'll add a link to my sites and sigs in other forums too. Can I use the banner on my other sites with your link?

I just spread the word about this site because I love it so much. My reward is what I learn. Keep up the great work on this site...you've done a wonderful job and have made me and others feel very welcome here.

You may want to add yourself to this websearch engine. Looks promising. In the box on the right it says "List Me!", then you just fill out a form and they let you know if and when it will be added. You may want to check out the FAQ there as well. They have about 1500 entries. It doesn't say how many hits they get, but anything like this could add some exposure to your site. LilacSky, feel free to join up at my board and advertise your site. I've had a few people who have advertised on my site and have gotten some regular posting members.
Good luck. I don't know of any boards out there quite like this, at least none that I belong to. I hope this one sticks around.

thanks nani!! I still promote the sites as much as possible but it can be hard to get out there on the net, beleive me lol..I spent many hours adding the sites to many search engines and it seems linking to other sites/forums helps the most..
