2am-9.27am
i had two dreams last night.
1st One:
I dreamy I was in a huge white room surrounded by lots of white objects, some on stands and some suspended. It was sort of like a museum. I was walking around touching things and trying to figure out what they were. My dog Jess was with me on her lead but unlike normal was walking at a normal pace.
We came to this huge white ball and managed to make the door of it open. Inside was a control pad with enough room for one person to sit comfortable and do the navigating. (All the controls where in chrome with no markings or instructions/symbols whatsoever). I starting pushing Jess by her bum to get into the ball and sit in the foot well.
Once Jess was in and laying down I got in and shut the door behind me. Inside was roomier then I first imagined and all the shiny buttons where irresistible. i started pushing and flicking switches at random and then...... we took off. Was truly scared by the noises and the motions the giant space ball was making that I woke up.
2nd One:
I can only remember from half way through. Jo, Gav and myself where staying in a hotel. Gav had gone off to go and play golf or something so I decided to knock on Jody's bedroom door and ask if she wanted to go down for drinks in the hotel bar. She agreed on coming so we both went back to our rooms and got changed and dressed up for the evening.
As we walked into the lobby I noticed there was water splashing around our ankles and the closer we got to the bar the more the water seemed to rise. By the time we got to the bar we could see the whole room was under water with the door blocked off by tape. It was about then that i realised how odd the hotel was with nothing in the right perspective and pictures hung upside down etc. I sort of woke myself up in the the dream that is to say instead of being me I started watching me from afar. It was strange seeing how autonomous I was. Jo and myself descended the stairs not bothered by the water at all and took a seat and started chatting. i could hear clearly and had no problem holding my breath or talking under water and was even able to watch the drummer in the corner of the room banging about. (He looked like the English bloke off of Lost). I can't remember the conversation properly but i know at one point I got up to do my make-up in the ladies and was frustrated that my hair kept floating about.
That's all of the dream i can really remember.

Can't remember much of my dream. I was arguing with my eldest sister who I haven't spoken too for a few years. I don't have a clue what we where arguing about but I ended up hitting her over the head with something and walking out. Woke up with the alarming ringing which interupted my dream.

Couldn't sleep last night. No position was comfortable to sleep in. Too hot under the covers and too cold outside them. Ended up getting most comfortable at bottom of bed with pillow near Gav's feet! Fan kept blowing on my face and couldn't be bothered to turn it off because kept hoping that if i stayed still for long enough would eventually go to sleep. lol never happened.
Eventually got to sleep at 9am and had a horrible dream/nightmare. Will write about it later when i've collected my thoughts on it.
Feel that i'm walking around in a bubble at the moment and not quite connecting with anything. Will take the dogs for walk and try and bring self back to life with fresh air and exercise.

Just had a cat nap. Well maybe about 40 mins kip. for the past few days I've been really too tired to sleep (if that makes sense), then about 45 mins ago just fell asleep. The dream was so vivid but i don't think I'm going to give it much justice in my write up. The dream: I went round to my friend Tweaky's house for a cup of tea. When i was sat down she brought out a massive cake vanilla sponge and chocolate which was absolutely gorgeous and smelt fantastic. (i could still taste it when i woke up!) i ate half of it and she ate the other half. We sat in silence eating and drinking when the door knocked. She went to answer it and came back saying it was a man to see her husband Tim. She showed me a book which the man had written. It was all about healing and uniting mankind with the use of a very powerful purple/pink stone. The stone had a name but i can't remember it all i know was that it had hardly any vowels in it and it was a long foreign unpronounceable to me word. Tim and the man walked around the garden talking then Tim came into the house and said he want to create a website for me that would appeal to both young and old a like but i had to go out to find what i should be about. Tweaky and myself left the house and got into her car. As we where driving down the motorway i suddenly remember that she didn't have a car and couldn't drive. I asked her about it and she told me it was amazing the things that could happen in dreams! After questioning her about not being able to drive her driving became erratic and the car swerved all over the road mounting curbs and not taking corners properly. We arrived at our destination which was a supermarket. We left the car and started towards the building i saw people using a pass to get in and out of the shop and worried over the fact i didn't have one. Tweaky told me not to worry has she would swipe hers then pass it back to me to use. We got to the escalator and as you went up it you had to swipe your card. She swiped hers and as agreed passed the card back to me. I swiped the card and the machine bleeped and didn't register so i swiped again and alarms went off all over the shopping centre. Security came and got me and i thought to myself that if i was older i could claim it on memory lapses and my being older. (This is where it gets strange - lol) I consciously morphed myself into an old women and made it that to everyones mind i was a feeble old lady. The security guards walked me to their desk and started questioning me about my card. I opened my handbag in a pretense of searching for my non existent card and was flustered by the fact what was in my bag was appropriate for an older lady. I had a huge box of tampons and a blue denimish kinky bra in there instead. In my bid to prove i was an old woman i reached into the depth of my bag and pulled out a huge pair of belly hugging white knickers with purple flowers on them lol. The embarrassment of the situation woke me up with a start.

Just read it. If you weren't so far away I'd probably suggest there was something in our water. lol
Is it just me or is there a huge amount of insomiacs doing this experiment? I've looked through some other peoples dreams and there do seem to be some similar connection. Nani and you with eggs, people being persecuted in different ways. Even down to hitting people on the head because there annoying you. I might just be going off on one... ;D ...but let me know what you think

One thing I noticed is that Gav dreamt he was playing golf (twice?) and you dreamt that he had gone to play golf or something. That was an interesting coincidence. I noticed the insomnia as well as the head hitting but as for my dreams, you will probably continue to see a lot of fighting. I don't know why because I'm not a violent person or anything but I always fight in my dreams a lot. Most of the time it's in self defense or defending someone else, but luckily I always win : )

Hiya Nani & Blake
What's it they say about great minds thinking a like... wonder if it applies to dreaming too lol.
I become aware in dreams loads but when i try to test things out it all back fires on me. I once dreamt I was in a car with people i didn't want to be with realised i was dreaming so sat in the back seat and started making strange noises trying to prove it was a dream. All i got for my efforts where the two people in the front seats turning to look at me as if i was a nutter.
Hey Blake your right about the golf thing just told Gav about it. I don't know.... so times you just don't see the wood for the trees.
Right thats it, I've got an experiment to get on with now. Might meet up with you all in the Land of Nod sometime.

1.30am-4.30am
I had the most horrific and mentally destroying dream last night.
I dreamt I woke up beside Gavin curled up in ball around my pillow on my left hand side (how I normally sleep). I was completely paralyzed almost as if my whole body had pins and needles going through it. I couldn't move no matter how hard I tried and I couldn't wake Gavin up. I layed beside him and tried to speak but all my vocal chords wouldn't work I could only make a weak sound in the back of my throat. I could hear him breathing deeply and feel the warmth of his body.
I started to rotate round the bed against my will. Frantically I started making more noises and trying to scream to wake him. When I got so that my head was at the bottom of the bed I started to be pulled out by something. Gavin woke up and grabbed hold of my lower half and tried to pull me back. I felt something grab my left breast and start squeezing really hard. Gav could see what was happening to me but not what was doing it. He tried brushing it off of my breast and the whole thing let go and allowed him to pull me back up the bed.
When he returned me to the top of the bed I felt that I was starting to get some movement back in my fingers. I hoped the paralysis was stopping and I was returning to normal. I felt so weak. He pulled me up further and put his arm around me and started talking to me to ask what was happening. I still couldn't speak.
I looked to the bottom of the bed and saw a dark shadow there about the size of an 8 year old child stood there facing us. I gestured with my head and Ga\vin looked down to it. My paralysis came completely back and any movement I had regained disappeared. Gav shouted at it to go away and leave me alone as it was scaring me. The shadow ran across the lower half of the bedroom and disappeared through the door. All the floor boards creaked as it ran on them and it did sound like a child running at a demented pace.
I looked up to the corner of the room and saw it staring at me again from the top of the wardrobe. Gav shouted for it to go when he followed my gaze and saw it there. I felt my body returning to normal again and my throat start to unfreeze.
I asked Gav if I had really turned around in the bed and if that thing was really there. He held on to me tighter and told me not to worry he'd look after me. With that the pins and needles returned again. I looked around the room frantically as by now I knew that when that shadow came near me I froze like this. It was stood on my side of the bed.
Slowly it reached it's arm out and plunged it into my solar plexus. It began to drag me out through the whole it had made with its arm. The noise and the sensation where awful and the fear I felt had nothing to which I could ever compare it to.
I passed out and woke up stood opposite the shadow. I was still in our bedroom but the room had stretched so it was longer and the walls had been painted white.
It pointed to its chest and said in a halting voice '-ruso'. I took it to mean its name and repeated back what it had said. It shook it's head and said it even slower '-rus'. It was almost like the shadow had a speech impediment. I tried to anticipate what it was saying and said 'Bruce'. It nodded it's head I knew that it wasn't its proper name but was happy to make do with how close I'd got to it.
I pointed to my chest and said 'Kirsty' it nodded and repeated my name. I realised it wasn't the spirit of a child or a ghost of any sort but something completely alien to what I'd ever seen before. Even being in a room with it made my skin crawl. I also realised that it wasn't a speech impediment it had it sounded like someone talking for the first time who'd only heard a language but never used it or someone who hadn't spoken for a very long long time.
I pointed at Gav who was on the bed holding my inert form and talking to it, but i couldn't hear what he was saying. 'Bruce' looked and said 'Gavin'. I pointed at my biggest dog and he said 'Jess' and stroked her under the chin as she had come over to see what was happening. Again I pointed, this time to my puppy. It moved its head and whispered 'Jasper' it reached down and tried to touch him but Jasper back away and up against the wall. The shadow looked at me and said 'but he is frantic'.
We stood staring at each other and it hit me that although it was moving it's lips when it spoke to me no sound was coming out. The words where appearing in my mind and that it was only making it's lips move in a pretense of normality maybe to try and make me feel more at ease with the situation.
It put an image of a blonde woman with really short hair in my mind and said she needed my help. Then an image of a very brown haired woman with her hair in bunches in my mind and said i needed her to help me do this.
All of a sudden i was gone and back in bed beside Gav. I could move and talk again. I told him what had happened and said to put the light on as I was scared of being in the dark now. We discussed the situation and with that I woke up properly.
This really confused me as a felt as if I had already been awake.
I lay in my bed looking at the walls waiting to see if the shadow came back and started scaring myself even more as I tried to put sense to the dream. I prodded Gav to wake him up and tell him about my experience and to ask if he didn't mind putting the light on.
The light stayed on for the rest of the night and I've only just got round to turning off. (Poor Gav lol). We laid in bed from about 4.30 to 5.30am trying to dissect my dream/obe. With me drinking water and smoking like a chimney. Finally it transpires that Gav had seen a shadow last night in the front room moving around but had for some reason decided not to mention it.
As for the whole being pulled down the bed I don't believe that really happened but my mind had put it there to scare me. I have had problems with being pulled down the bed and also it vibrating before in Bristol where we use to live a shadow thing was there to only I really was awake when then happened (v. long story). So maybe I chucked that it there just for the hell of it.
One thing is for certain though.... tonight the lights stay on. I still feel completely freaked out by the whole thing no matter how many times I hear the word 'hypnobobic' (sleep paralyzed- when your aware of your sleeping body when your dreaming).
In fact I don't even want to go to sleep tonight.

OK this is cool, and we do not need the light on tonight!!!!
This highlights a problem lots of people seem to suffer whilst reading this book or becoming familiar with any type of astral projection.
I will discuss this matter more in the discussion thread after the weeks conclusion as technically this experience is from the next week.

Thanks for the encouragement Nani. Still dreading going to bed tonight. I've felt drained and weak all day. Have spent most of my time in the bedroom reading & smoking so far. lol
I don't think it was Gav. I've met up with him and gone dream walking before etc and he's always appeared as he does to me in 'reality'. I did wonder if it was actually him in the bed beside me though that was comforting me. When I questioned him about it afterwards he said it wasn't. Though because I was hypnobobic the fact I could hear and feel him was probably true, but it guess it must have been dream content when i was talking to him.
I'm sorry to hear about your splitting up with your boyfriend. Gav and myself had a right humdinger of an argument yesterday. Thankfully we kissed and made up before bedtime though. I hope everything works out for the best for you though. Your in my thoughts.

Wow! I don't know if I would want to be in the bedroom to sleep for a while. Maybe sleep on the couch or something with the lights on. Kirsty, in that on line free book I listed last night, in the first chapter or so this woman tells of a similar experience as yours, where an enitity reach into her with it's arm. She is still well and doing fine so I don't think you will be harmed by this happening to you. Maybe it would help your fears to read her book. I know it helps me to read of other people's experiences that are similar just for the fact that is helps to know that I'm not alone in what is happening. www.firedocs.com/bewilderness/That is the website it's on.

Had a very restless night last night. Took ages to get to sleep. I dreamt but i can't remember clearly what it was about. There was another woman talking to me in her front room. I can remember the room. It was a long and thin room and none of the furniture matched. There was a hugh window at the bottom of the room with lots of plants on the window sill. Really surreal paints hung on the walls which I was walking around looking at and touching. I know we where talking about the pictures but i can't remember what was said. The woman was older then me with brown hair and a slim figure. She wore a beautiful blank onyx ring on her middle finger and an intricately designed silver ring on her other hand and was dressed casually. So much for looking for my hands in the dream but along the right track even noticing them on other people I guess lol. Sorry folks but thats all I can remember really. Thanks CC for the web link I'm gonna gonna have a look at that now. Cheers

Hiya,
Last night again had a very disturbed night due to our dog Jess fannying about huffing and puffing.
When I did dream....
I was walking through an old castle ( I have the impression it's in Scotland somewhere). I was on a guided tour with about 8 or 9 other people.
The tour guide was male and kept going into these huge indepth descriptions about different artifacts in the castle. I really found him quite boring but had to pretend otherwise. It wasn't that the things history's and story's he was talking about was boring just the way he was putting it.
Massive Castle though with a fire in every room. I didn't really talk or mix with the people in the room. I was a bit paranoid and kept thinking they were staring at me or talking about when I was looking.
Thats it

Went back to sleep for a bit after Gav went to work. Dreamt I was sitting on cobbled steps looking out to the sea. Jess jumped on the bed and woke me up so I kicked her off and went back to sleep. Went back to sitting on cobbled steps and looking at the pebble beach. I wanted to cross the beach to get somewhere but knew the tide was coming in. I also knew that if a walked the the land way to my destination it would be a very long walk and it was getting dark. A woman came and sat beside me on the steps and said her friend would pick us up and take me to where I wanted to go. A man arrived on an inflatable jet ski... (i know)... she got on behind him and I sat on the front. The night was closing in fast and the sea was slightly rough. I loved being on the jet ski and thinking that I must get one. As we rounded the corner in the cove i wanted to get to I started thinking about sharks. I was just about to ask if any where in the water when I saw ripples and something moving towards us. The man quickly parked his jet ski on the beach we all got off. I looked over my shoulder and saw an alligator/crocodile come out of the water and start walking towards us up the beach at a slow pace. I crossed the pebbles and started walking up the steps that were ahead of me the woman followed behind but the man said he wanted to stay and look at the creature. We both got to the top of the steps when we heard the man scream. The woman and I ran half way down the steps when he came towards us. He was holding his arms out but both hands had been bitten off at the wrist and he was bleeding profusely. Jess got back on the bed. Sat on me and started trying to lick my face. Again she woke me up. Drat that dog! I use to think it was funny she could open doors lol. I think the fact that this is now my second time I've dreamt of looking at hands or noticing a lack of them is a start. Now I just have to find my own in the dreams
