List of participants:
existenceisadream ~¤LilacSky¤~ nani crazycat Section8 halebopp95 Lena
Official start date is 10.10.10 but anyone is welcome to jump in after that. Just read the section and post in that section's thread.
Sign up for a new dream to study to start 10.10.10! Everyone has a full month to get their dream basics down, get back into recording in their dream journal, and get the book!
There's two versions of the book, older and newer. Whatever one you can get access to is great! The book is $10.85 on amazon. If someone can't get the book, I think we can post enough information, without violating author's copyright on here for every chapter, so everyone can participate!
I would love to see a whole bunch of people join. It doesn't matter what experience you have with dreams until now. Even if you can't remember your dreams, or if you are a "frequent flyer" as Robert Moss puts it, everyone will find something in this study.
Here's a glimpse about what this book is about: "In this book you’ll learn practical techniques to bring energy, guidance and healing from a deeper reality into everyday life. You’ll discover how to project consciousness safely beyond the body, how to open gates between the worlds – and how to close them when necessary. You’ll learn how to travel, wide awake and dreaming, to true cities of the imagination, and other places of instruction, adventure and healing in nonordinary reality, and how to read the signs of everyday life as a set of dream symbols. You’ll be invited to meet your counterparts in other realities, and rise to the knowledge of the Higher Self at the hub of the many aspects of your multidimensional self. In short, Dreamgates is an invitation to become a full citizen of the multidimensional universe. "

Hey awesome Lena. Count me in. Plus I'm really happy that it's a book I've never read. That's really getting me into it. I'll grab my copy soon and force myself to not read any until 10/10 lol. Do you know what's the difference between the two versions of the book? Are they essentially the same book just revised.

Do you know what's the difference between the two versions of the book? Are they essentially the same book just revised. It seems like it as it, Derek. It's not even called a new edition on amazon, just revised edition with exact same title. Have you read any other Robert Moss books, like Conscious Dreaming? You do have a month, so if you are eager, you could try another book to read meanwhile ;D I'm finishing up Conscious Dreaming right now. One thing I love about his style of writing is that there are so many real examples, taken from his workshops, as well as historical events.

Yep, I've already read Conscious Dreaming. I've even read all the Carlos Castaneda books. Though I could always reread one of those. Maybe I'll find another Robert Moss book to read are even a Seth book. Only book I've read of Seth is Seth Speaks. May look into that. Yea I think this project will be a good way to get back into it all. Even if it is just a few of us doing it. Hopefully more will jump on board too!

Oh, well Seth specifically has a book on OBE, although he talks to one extent or another about it in every book. It's called Seth Dreams and Projections of Consciousness. My favorite one is the Nature of Personal Reality. In fact, it's kind of like my favorite book of all time In fact, I was thinking about it today and how I'd like to reread it. Here's a quote from it: "Believe, then, that you are a being unlimited by nature, born into flesh to materialize as best you can the great joy and spontaneity of your nature". As a side note, I usually skip all notes from the husband of Jane, that take up half the book. I understand the reason for their inclusion and sometimes it's nice to get an idea of an atmosphere, but after that, what really matters is what Seth says. I hope to see some old and new faces here! I agree, if it's the three of us, I will still enjoy it very much (I'm sure it won't be :-) )

Aha..I didn't even think about the language aspect of it for you, Nani. Your English is so good and you understand so much! I should post enough content, yes, for each chapter, but if I were you, I would get the book in English. See, thing about this author is that his concepts are simple to understand. He is like a journalist or an English teacher. He has very clear writing. He might use a few words that you don't know here or there, but looking those up is simple enough. I bet you won't have any trouble at all!

I ordered dream gates yesterday as well as a Seth book. Actually the one I ordered is 'Nature of Personal Reality'. From reading reviews it sounded like one of Janes best.

OK, then you are not allowed to read Dreamgates before you finish Nature of Personal Reality Make sure you post your comments and thoughts on it! I think I'll be rereading it as well!

LOL actually I'm a slow reader so will probably not finish it before we begin the project. Is the plan to read a chapter a week type of thing? If so then it looks like I'll be reading both at the same time.

Count me in...I do have Dreamgates already. I also have Conscious Dreaming and another one of Moss's Book called "the Three "Only" Things : tapping the power of dreams, coincidence and imagination" I have not read any of them, but started reading Conscious Dreaming in 2006, but never finished it. I think I will try getting it read before we start with Dreamgates.

If so then it looks like I'll be reading both at the same time. That's a good question. I think one chapter a week is a good idea, but maybe we can speed up in places, so it doesn't take 4 months to finish up. Might lose the momentum, if we stretch it out too much. At least Part 1, that has a lot of introductory concepts, I think we can do in a couple of weeks, which is about 40 pages a week. That is one night reading for me, two at the most and then practice, of course! Then we can slow down to one chapter a week to have ample time for practice. Plus, we can have people post comments on whatever week they are on at the time, so if anyone joins later on, they can easily go on their own pace.

I want to join too! Hopefully I won't be too slow though. Cool, welcome! I have a feeling you'll be fine. We can all go at whatever pace is comfortable for us. For some people, it might be reading the whole book in a week and for some it might be taking their time with each little detail. We all have different learning styles.
