All right Ronni, I'll give this a try. How do you know what key things are? Are those things you feel most strongly about? Or are they just key things in the dream, that stand out the most, keywords?
Oh, and Ronni, you said somewhere about writing a book, how about a blog? :-) We could all contribute some articles.

section its the opposite i think....we release into the forward in order to stop time, in fact my beliefs are we are constantly creating the future...therefore it creates a stop and we can live here with time.......yep sooo if we are everywhere at once of course we are gonna be in the place that creates time or stops it... That totally went over my head...How does creating our future stop time? I'd like to know.

Hey you guys, I'm excited, I ordered my book! I feel sooo lucky. I hope it will really help me out, as I need to get back into dream recall and working more closely with my dreams. As soon as I tend to get really busy, it tends to slip somehow.

Oops, most of the time I just use cold pressed olive oil and raw apple cider vinegar for my dressings. I just pour and mix in ha!
I do have a favorite raw tomato dressing, that's kind of different: 2 medium tomatoes 4 Tbsp raw Tahini 1 Tbsp raw apple cider vinegar 1 tsp paprika 1/2-1 garlic
Blend it and pour it on your salad. I also like to add Nutrition Yeast Flakes.

sweet i'm in!!! i've never done this sort of thing before, but i'm sure aunt ronni can help me understand it all :-) Welcome to our study! I think reading and discussing about describes it, kind of like a book club. Although, I'm sure we'll be doing some exercises from the book too.

Here's where I got my first green smoothie recipes: www.rawfamily.com/recipesEase up on greens, if you experiment with green smoothies, by A LOT. It took me a long time to start adjusting to the amounts of greens they recommend. The point is to ENJOY. Amy, what I meant is my food preparation is so simple, there is no recipes needed. For example, I had salad and baked potatoes for dinner. I just put some potatoes in the oven, bake, take out and eat lol I season with some salt and garlic powder, but I couldn't tell you measurements or anything. Simple recipe to get you started, that kind of reminds me of candy: 1 apple 1 orange or orange juice from one orange 1 banana, frozen I at least double for breakfast. Make sure banana is really ripe before you freeze it, as in has plenty of brown spots. Maybe 1/2 cup of water or so, depends on how liquidy you like it.

LOL. Love how you refer to it like it's a drug... Though we are addicted to foods. But that's another subject. It totally is and I also won't go into it here, although I'm happy about another food discussion thread. I feel family members sometimes want to close their ears and go "blah blah blah", when I start talking about food. So I bought some Keenwa err I mean Quinoa awhile back after reading up on vegan options for protein. Problem is, I haven't even used it yet. Been just kinda like, what am I supposed to use it for or on. It's so lite. Thanks for the recipe. I'll add it to my salads for a start. Oh and when you toast it, are you just putting it in a pan dry. Like it won't burn the quinoa? Yep, putting it dry on a pan, just have to stir the whole time. If you find it's too much, turn down a bit. You can skip this step if you are lazy, I've done both. Eating that much fruit for breakfast, does that not make you get a crazy sugar high and then crash? Derek, absolutely not! When I was all raw, I could have a big smoothie in the afternoon too without any negative effects. Now I feel that so much fruit in the afternoon is not ideal, after I eat them, especially banana based smoothie. I just made that mistake today, although I didn't crash exactly, I just felt a bit unpleasant right after. My theory is that if you eat fruit in the right way, it will not have a negative effect on your blood sugar level. For prove, just go check out stevepavlina.com, where he did his low fat trial. Basically, he ate fruit with some greens and monitored his blood sugar, that had almost no spikes. One raw author claims that it's really the fat, that affects you negatively. Since fat stays in your system so long, it then slows down fruit digestion and has a negative effect. I almost always have fruit on its own, although I'll have small amount for dessert too sometimes. Fruit also combines in an excellent way in a smoothie with green-leafy vegetables. I would say that green-leafy veggies are very important for your mineral intake, especially if you are not eating meat. But I'm getting off track. Fruit is best digested by itself or EVEN BETTER with green-leafy vegetables, in the morning, and after a long break from your last meal, where you had fat. I totally considered going fruitarian before, but for several reasons, found it unpractical. My three-year-old recently got into green smoothies, and has things like lettuce, spinach, and even dandelions mixed in with fruit sometimes. Almost forgot to say, buy ripe fruit or let it ripen on the counter. And speaking of deprivation, if all you have is refrigerated produce from the supermarket, you are missing out on some heavenly God given flavors. Like the local seeded watermelon I had the other day, one of the best experiences of my life ;D Fruit has such a bad rep, it makes me sad for people Ayurveda considers it the most spiritual food you can eat. I'll mention protein really quick, but from my own personal opinion. Protein is like 0 issue. If you think you are not getting enough protein, you are not eating enough. Please, stop me now. I won't say more than that.

No problem. What other recipes do you have?? Wait, I thought you didn't have a kitchen ;D Do you eat in a cafeteria? If it's practical at all, you could get a blender and make green smoothies for extra healthfulness in your diet. Of course, in college there is other things to worry about, like not drinking too much beer ;D I will post some more, although most days my food preparation is very simple and not recipe based. Everyone else is welcome to share too. You're Slavic, of course you like your potatoes! You are right. Potatoes are my birth right.

Ohh you eat so healthy, Lena! I've never even heard of quinoa! I'm going to have to look at this recipe when I get home (and have a kitchen ;D). So you're a vegetarian? I try, although like I said I have my days, where I slip up and have some junk food too. Did I mention I really like potatoes?? Especially fried ones. Thanks for a compliment, Amy! Sometimes, I have hard time accepting those. As for vegetarian, well, no, that pizza that I had wasn't vegetarian I'd like to be, but somehow I always come back to eating some, although this summer was pretty much vegetarian, maybe eating meat only once or twice. Oh, I don't eat cooked dairy, which in practice means I almost eat none at all. Whatever I get in my junk food once in a blue moon is about it. I eat more eggs lately, since I found a good fresh from the farm and inexpensive supply, AND it helps me to stay off meat too. Yep, I forgot to mention eggs. I eat those for lunch or dinner every other day, or whenever I feel like, not breakfast though, as that's my fruit time. As for quinoa, if you have access to healthfood store or at least a healthfood section, they have it a lot of times in bulk bins. You can also find it in packages too.

Quinoa is awesome food! It's actually not a grain, but a starchy seed, which is semantics really, but I believe it's healthier than grains.
My basic recipe: 1 cup quinoa (either white or red or mixed) 2 cups water 1 carrot, grated 1/4 onion or less, diced Salt to taste (I use mineral such as Celtic Salt, Real Salt or Himalayan Salt)
Optional for more flavor: 1/2 of veggie cube
Optional to make it a bit more filling: 1 tsp olive or sesame oil handful of sesame seeds
Toast quinoa by constantly stirring it on medium for five minutes (not necessary, but adds a different flavor). Add water and bring to boil. Turn down temperature to low and let it simmer for about 25 minutes. Oh, and I throw veggies and other ingredients in there somewhere along the way. I add onion right away, and add carrot ten minutes before it's done. But you can put stuff in all at once. Add sesame seeds and oil at the end.
Really good with or in a salad! Great side dish and alternative to bread. You can also make quinoa with almond milk and honey for a sweet breakfast version. Raw foodists are fond of sprouting it and using it in a salad. You can also sprout to reduce cooking time and that way it keeps more of its nutrition.
Unlike most grains, quinoa is alkaline.

I decided to share some recipes, although most of mine are really simple.
My nutrition philosophy: for a long time now, I stuck to Edgar Cayce's advice on keeping 80% of my intake alkaline and 20% acidic, at least overall. If someone asked me for my advice on eating or health, that's the first thing I would say, try to keep as that ratio of alkaline and acidic.
Breakfast: For me, fruit is PERRRRRRFECT breakfast food, but don't misunderstand, it's not just having a banana. I eat enough to meet my caloric requirements for breakfast about 500 calories. I just grab some fruit basically or make a smoothie.
Lunch: That's usually a green salad with a variety of veggies and either eggs or some kind of starch, like quinoa or buckwheat.
Snack: Some kind of fruit, although not as much as for breakfast, as I have felt negative effect of fruit in the afternoon, if I eat too much, but for breakfast I can eat as much as I want.
Dinner: More veggies and either fat or potatoes or both. By fat, I mean maybe an avocado, soup with coconut, or seed pate.
Of course, that's not all there is to it. Yesterday, I made myself popcorn for an evening snack. The day before that, we had pizza in the house, so I had a couple of pieces (along with steamed broccoli lol).

So that's how you guys figured out her name is Amy. I was a little confused since I missed this thread ;D Hi Amy, now I can call you Amy too Of course, I almost always choose my name as a handle. I have no clue why. Is that some kind of disorder? It's called "not-being-able-to-take-on-made-up-nicknames" or something like that ;D Actually, I had one when I was younger on a different forum, although it was a chatroom back then, since all we had was MS Chat at first. Yes, I'm a master at online chatting, maybe cause I feel sometimes like I don't get to talk enough lol Anyway, this nickname was Andromeda. It still has a lot of meaning for me. Oh, and imaginary friends, I wish! I mean I had friends, that I imagined, but not very persistent real like. I think I was born too cautious and self-aware to really let my imagination wonder much at all

What Derek said about alternate realities, although I cheated and got that concept out of Jane Roberts/Seth books. Honestly, my worldview has been so influenced by those book, that I can't sort in my mind what I believed in originally and how my believes changed after reading them. Yes, I believe you can travel in time. Do I really need to elaborate? lol In fact, we time travel ALL THE TIME. Lately, there is more and more opportunities to do so too. When for example you think intensely about some experience that happened in the past (or future, but that's a different topic), you do transport part of you there. Just because we are not completely conscious of the process...yet, doesn't mean it's not real. Both past and present are about probabilities. There are probabilities in the past and there are probabilities in the future. If you travel in the past, you change your life in a way, but since you enter a different probability, you won't even know that your life is any different. It's really kind of difficult to comprehend, but in order to do it, you have to forget about what you know about reality. You have to, like Derek did, realize that you are everywhere at once already, which is really mind blowing and I don't expect my conscious mind to understand it. By the way, Derek, I hope you have fun reading the Nature of Personal Reality. I just finished Seth's Dreams book Volume II. In it, Seth described this concept of all matter being made up of units of consciousness. They are the most basic building block, but also conscious entities at the same time. We are all made up of them, and they are everywhere at once. Animals and trees and all other matter are made up of them too, so you can see how easy it is to conclude that every time we eat, we eat ourselves, and every time we do anything, we are doing it to ourselves. That is the concept of Oneness of course. Elementary school stuff, eh?

I do like yoga and try a type of Kundalini yoga and practice a form of Kriya yoga. When I do raise my energy levels there is no way I could sleep. It is almost like someone turned off the power switch and I'm standing there with frayed extension cord in hand wondering what's up. I'm interested to hear more about Kriya yoga you practice. I have practiced Ananda yoga for a little while, after my interest in it has been sparked by my first yoga DVD, that's called Yoga to Awaken the Chakras. I also started studying Self-Realization Fellowship lessons, but I just started so not sure how I feel about them. I also take yoga classes weekly, and while totally relaxing, they are not nearly as energy stimulating as Ananda is. Lena, your technique worked. I didn't move when I woke up and I was able to remember with clarity, then I moved and I started to forget but I moved back to the original position and remembered again. Thank you thank you thank you!!!!!! Yeehoo! Am I gonna be reading stuff in your dream journal soon then? ;D

Hahaha A few minutes (or seconds) of relaxation is something! Kids are fun though. (I know I know: "Just wait until you have one.") Nope, sweety, not at all what I was gonna say. I was going to say maybe you'll have easier time at it, than I do then! I didn't care much for kids. I love mine dearly, of course, but really miss my quiet time. Oh, and not having to deal with pee and poop every hour BUT I never experienced love so deep and I never felt so intensely in touch with nature, than when I was giving birth. Plus, that first time, when you hold your baby, it's magical.

I hope I'm not contradicting myself, when I say that I create my own reality and then post a rant about a bad day. I do believe that since I'm still physical and definitely not an ascended master, I'll have my moments of humanness. Question does become then "Why do I create this particular reality?" That's the question for me to answer. More on this topic. I'm reading Dreams, Evolution and Value Fulfillment right now and Jane Roberts struggled with this very issue herself, which is "If I create my own reality, why can't I make it work in this area of my life?" For her, that area was her worsening health. Interestingly, her last Seth book Way Towards Health is very controversial because it has a lot of her own struggles with health, that she passes away from. Reportedly, although I didn't get to reading it yet, Seth also said that Jane made the decision to stay, but then she passed away anyhow. She, of course, was more or less in public eye, while going through this, and she felt guilt and responsibility to model this philosophy of hers that she was bringing through. Perhaps even with access to superconsciousness like Seth, we can't always point out our exact motivations with why we manifest certain things, especially the ones that we seemingly would not consciously choose. Or perhaps, as we gain consciousness, we will glean more and more insight into our own actions. I believe Venus Andrecht calls it God Awake. Oh, and here's her simple philosophy framework, by the way. I just think it's soo simple, but I agree: "God is always happy. God is always glad. God is always happy because It is always experiencing Itself. We are all God. Everything is God. God is not bad. God is not good. God simply Is. God is always the question. And God is always the answer."

Ohhh. *Hug* I think I feel the same way at times. I somehow get sucked into a vortex and keep feeding it with my own negative thoughts and can't climb out. It's terrible. I feel better now that I've moved back to college, but this summer was.... no good. Even last summer was bad, I remember just laying on the floor after work everyday and crying for an hour. You need to climb out of it somehow. I think dietary changes are a good idea because junk food just sucks away your energy. I think mainly though, it's changing your thought process. For every one negative thought, you have to think two positive thoughts. Emotional stability comes with time though, that's why old people are so chill and why my mom shrugs off everything like it ain't no thang. I think emotional states do effect your dreams. This summer I had a lot of dreams where people were hurting me (e.g. abused by a man in my life). If I had any happy dreams, I would just wake up depressed from them because my "dream was a lie." I don't remember whether I remembered more dreams or less...I think I didn't care as much to pay attention to them so it faded away a little. I can relate to letting my dreams fade away. I went through periods of disliking my dreams so much, I didn't want to write them down. Those feelings disappear, as things shift towards more positive in my life. Just a disclaimer for everyone: I'm not depressed and my junk food excursions are quite rare, at least overall that's the case. I do have some emotional stuff I'm working on. Funny thing is as I try more to be happy, the more stuff comes up to be cleared away. Perhaps that is part of emotional and physical detoxing? Or perhaps, moving towards more happiness, I am less tolerant of problems that were there to begin with.

the shaman laughs at him, seemingly unaffected by these drugs. The scientist couldn't reason why the doses he administered weren't turning the man into a looney toon, but other 'new age' hypotheses were that the shaman was vibrating at too high a frequency to have a great reaction to otherwise harmful chemicals. So, if you consume all the health-retardant ingredients in junk food during a lower state you will be at their mercy biologically. However if you vibrated at a greater wavelength then you may eat the same foods but suffer less side-effects they elicit. The same goes with liquids. With the right intention one may convert a poison into a medicine or polluted drinking water into better water. Perhaps the shaman did something similar to the drug he was given. Excellent point. I was thinking about that very thing today, if the higher we are vibrating, the less effect any poisons have on the body. It makes sense intuitively, although I noticed people, who eat healthy for a long time become more sensitive to foods as well as their environment. For example, after being raw for several months, eating some cooked food can make you sick. I've experienced that myself, not to a large extent, but being very uncomfortable after just eating some beans. I'm not that sensitive now though, but more sensitive than before. I firmly believe we do create our reality, so with that said, there is levels of awareness. Highly advanced individual, such as an ascended master, will not much care for any kinds of physical disturbances in this world, but in a regular person, who goes through their life without much awareness, creating their own reality happens more at an unconscious level. Oh, and I believe wish-fulfillment dreams are encouragement and actually a sign that things can improve. Lie is a very tricky word, since we are multi-dimension being. What's a lie in our dimension may be very true in another and therefore can be true in ours as well ;D I hope I'm not contradicting myself, when I say that I create my own reality and then post a rant about a bad day. I do believe that since I'm still physical and definitely not an ascended master, I'll have my moments of humanness. Question does become then "Why do I create this particular reality?" That's the question for me to answer.

The reason I'm starting this thread is basically cause I needed to vent a little, so it seemed like a good excuse. Once in a while, I will go into this semi-depressed state, actually lately it has more overtones of anger, than depression. It's like I let stuff build up for a while and then it comes pouring it out, crying and just being angry at people, like really really angry. I feel so sensitive at times and like I take things way too seriously, and sometimes I look at people, and wish that I would be more easy going, ya know, like not take things so close to heart. I think I get even more upset because I overdo junk food and you know, it's a vicious cycle.
Vent over then.
Back to my question. Have you guys noticed that your emotional states affect your dreams and in what way? Abraham, channeled by Esther Hicks, say that dreams show you what vibrational level you are attracting from. Basically, if you are having sad dreams, then your emotional state is attracting things you don't want. If you have happy dreams, you are attracting things you do want. I'm not sure about that because sometimes when I said I will have a happy dream that will lift me up a bit or the other way around.
Also, having to do with dream recall, I noticed that when I get into a lot of heavy, negative emotions (including apathy, which can be interpreted as a lack of emotions), my dream recall really decreases. But my husband said that when he was a heavy drinker, he would have all kinds of lucid dreams and dream recall. I find, that the easiest way for me to start remembering dreams again is to lighten up. Lightening up can be done through dietary choices, for example. When I was eating completely raw diet, I remembered lots more dreams and they were amazingly clear. Of course, it maybe that it's not the food itself that does it but my belief in how it affects me and my passion for eating that way, that permeates my life.
So what effect do emotions have on dreams?
