Be warned. If you're squeamish, you may not like it. The story is based on a play about a barber who was wrongly imprisoned. He comes back 15 years later seeking revenge. He uses his razor on his hapless victims and his downstairs landlord cuts the bodies up into meat pies.

I recently downloaded several songs from this film--Sweeney Todd from itunes. My favorite song can be heard in the trailer. You can watch the actual scene here:

I must confess, of all the ones I listened to, the lollipop song was my favorite. The press made a big deal about The Beatles finally being on itunes. Here's my favorite Beatles tune:

My niece swerved to miss a deer last week and it sent her into a ditch. After getting hauled out, something broke under the frame of her van and the thing flipped over. Fortunetly, she escaped with bruises and a sore shoulder.
Deer and moose are the two big things in my neck of the wood to watch out for while driving. Especially the moose.

I believe the bible was written by men of ancient times to subjugate other tribes to their rule by frightening them into believing they had the answers and the most supreme god, or force, in which to control them.
Hell only exists in one's mind.

War

Throughout history, wars have been mostly about land and the acquisition of it. Or peoples of one land want to break free of another land whose laws and flag they live under.
Religion plays a role when people believe god gave them that land and people from another land claim the same thing, but not necessarily because of the same religion, but often the same god. Look at the 3 big religions of the word---Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. They all have the same god, or at least the same father of their religions--Abraham! And look how they fight and kill each other!
I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that their god is an illusion, and that's part of the world's problem. Get rid of the false god beliefs and we're half way there to world peace.
Getting rid of the human frailties like the ones crazycat mentioned would be almost as difficult has ridding the world of false beliefs. We have a long way to go in our evolution.

I had to hit ctrl and + to enlarge the text so I could read it.
Anyway, I'm grateful that this board has a dream forum and I get feedback. The other board I post dreams in hardly gets any feedback except for the administrator.
What drives me nuts, and I haven't seen it here, are the ones (in the dream boards) that post something like "Please help...had a terrible dream!" and then never come back to respond to other responses.
It's good to see some familiar names here since my absence.

Hi everybody,
I was a member here about 2 or 3 years ago. I'll have to go and dug up some of my old threads.
Since I left the forum I no longer believe in spirits, the afterlife, reincarnation, magnetic fields, natural healing (unless its treatment for a vitamin deficiency) and so forth.
The only thing I've retained is my practice in writing and interpreting dreams. You can probably find some of my dreams in the dream forum here.
I still think that Carl Jung was on to something, but I dont' think I'm picking up the collective unconscious from our ancestors. Dreams are a product of our own thoughts, feelings, and interpretations of personal and world events.
I still dig psychology, but I dont' adhere to any religious faith or philosophy. I guess what I'm saying is I'm an agnostic. Most of the forums here I could not relate to, except the dreams.
I can still check in and help others with their dreams. That's always a pleasure!

Has anyone seen "What the Bleep Do We Know?" For those who have not, it's part documentary and part story line. It involves a woman going through a mid-life crisis, and from time to time we hear a variety of physists, scientists, and mystics talk about the different phases of our lives and how we are surrounded by atoms, molecules and quantum reality. With each crisis this woman faces, we are given alternative realities to her situation and how our beliefs and emotions effect our bodies and the choices we make. www.thebleep.co.uk/pressroom.phpApparently, there is now a sequil: "Down the Rabbit Hole." www.whatthebleep.com/

Lyrics He had white horses And ladies by the score All dressed in satin And waiting by the door Ooooh, what a lucky man he was Ooooh, what a lucky man he was White lace and feathers They made up his bed A gold covered mattress On which he was laid Ooooh, what a lucky man he was Ooooh, what a lucky man he was He went to fight wars For his country and his king Of his honor and his glory The people would sing Ooooh, what a lucky man he was Ooooh, what a lucky man he was A bullet had found him His blood ran as he cried No money could save him So he laid down and he died Ooooh, what a lucky man he was Ooooh, what a lucky man he was I didn't notice if anyone had guessed this group, but I know who it is: Emerson, Lake & Palmer am I right?

Last Wednesday, I'm sitting at my computer about 3:30 p.m. I hear what sounds like a tree branch falling on the roof. I look outside, nothing. A few minutes later I'm back at the computer when all of a sudden, BOOM! The trailor shook and it sounded like dynamite going off. I called my neighbor who said she was about to call me. We guessed it could have been a sonic boom, dynamite, or a structural collapse of something. A few months ago the same exact thing happend about the same time in the afternoon. The story was in the local paper. Town residents ran out of their homes and businesses to see what fell on their roof or what exploded. This time, it was reported In the police blotter in our local paper, people heard (on the same day I and other town residents) "blasting" going off in the towns of Waterville, Winslow, and Fairfield (Maine) around 4:00 p.m. No one knows what this strange phenomonon is, but here's a web article about it: I was out of town with this incident occured: www.boston.com/news/local/maine/articles/2006/02/24/residents_seek_answers_to_mystery_booms_and_shaking/Just bizarre. It's like living in an episode of Unsolved Mysteries.
